HP iPAQ h6315 PDA Phone (T-Mobile)
HP Ipaq 6315 , PDA phone not all it should be

Having a phone and pda combined into one unit is a good idea but not one that actually translates into something that works for t-mobile. I'm don't know how this phone would preform on other networks but ont he t-mobile network it never worked properly. Unless you were in your house or driveway you won't get your calls. The calls will go directly to voicemail, and the phone will not ring becuase of low signal. Even after applying the free upgrade offered from HP through the t-mobile website the phone did not work properly. This ended up being a waste of $600 for me.

The compter part of the pda works great. Playing games, keeping my calendar and task list was about all I could do on this phone. Surfing the net was impossible unless you purchase the $40 plan from t-mobile. The phone has a wireless card in it but it never worked properly with my home network. Also the bluetooth never functioned properly for transferring data or using the buetooth handsfree. the infrared transfer worked fine.

The camera was another disappointment. It was supposed to be a 3megapixel camera but it did not take pictures like one. The shutter reaction is extremely slow and the pictures were very graining. There is a $9 flash attachment that you can purchase but I didn't want to spend anymore money on this item.

K7 Gives You Something to Rave About

This is a nice, sleek looking phone from a simple pay as you go wireless provider. Virgin Mobile uses the SPRINT PCS network and charges you as follows...$.025 a minute for the first 10 minutes of the day, then $0.10 a minute after that. Or, $0.10 a minute plus $0.35 a day. You pay $0.10 per text message you send and it is free to receive them. You must top off your account at least $20 every 90 days to keep your account active, but you keep the minutes you have already purchased. If you don't use your phone a lot your looking at $6.66 a month for a cell phone. How simple is that? No other hidden fees involved.

The Kyocera K7 was replaced by the K9 which in turn is being raplaced by the K10 with a color screen and more features. This phone is a bargain price wise compared to the K10. You won't get a color screen, supersonic ringtones, downloadable wallpapers and screensavers, downloadable games and access to Virgin XL. You can send and receive text from other phones or email addresses and download ringtones. Other features include a built in flashlight. Anytime your curious about how much money you have left on your account you can check your balance right on the phone. It takes about 5 seconds for the account information to be zapped back to you in a text message. You can also access your account on the web site.

If your like me who got tired of spending over $50 a month for cell phone minutes I never used, this is for you. I like the convenience of having a phone, but do not have a need to have it glued to my ear all day. Virgin Mobile pay as you go is simple and in my case money saving. Not to mention this particular phone is a bargain in price and stylish too!

Product features:
Dazzling blue backlighting
Supports 2-way text messaging, 1-touch and voice dialing
Comes equipped with polyphonic ring tones, built-in flashlight, and 3 games
Battery allows for up to 3.5 hours of talk time and 7.5 days of standby time
Uses Virgin Mobile software for access to Virgin Mobile's services and VirginXtras

Too good to be true.

This phone is too good to be true. It has a lot of good features. But every phone has some kind of flaw. This phone has a mega flaw in reception. I can't get a good singal. Even in metro Tucson it's kinda hard. It's an awesome phone, with bad service. Don't get me wrong. Nextel is good, just not their reception.

Hands-free cellular conversations are always available with the built-in speakerphone

Pretty Mediocre

When my brother signed up for service with Verizon Wireless they were running a BOGO free deal on phones. He got an expensive camera phone and I got stuck with the KX414. The phone isn't terrible but it would be much better with some improvements.

Although the screen is color, it is tiny and hard to read. The ear piece is also rather small and has to be directly on your ear to hear properly. I've had the phone for about six months and the blue "mask" that surrounds the screen is loose and ready to fall off. Many of the numbers on the key pad are fading color and chipping. It will probably need to be replaced.

When I have it on the vibrate setting I end up missing calls because the vibration is so weak. The ringers that come with the phone are annoying so if you plan on buying this phone prepare to spend extra money on ones you can tolerate. If you like games you'll also have to download and pay for them because they don't come with the phone.

I have to charge it every single night so that I don't lose power throughout the day. I do get pretty good service and it is rare that my call is dropped. That is really the only positive.

It is very obvious to me why this phone was free. If you're shopping for a new phone I would spend the extra fifty bucks and get something with a little higher quality. It will pay off in the long run.

Product features:
Customize and personalize.
Brilliant, 5-line, 65K TFT color display
Voice-activated dialing
15 ring tones and vibrate alert
Contact cartoon alert for incoming calls

This is one great phone

The phone WOULD be the ideal dream... ideal if it worked. I get horrid reception and phone cuts off half way through calls... and forget it working indoors anywhere! If that wasn't all.. the camera takes weak pics and the flash is of no use. I have tried to manually operate the camera for what the automatic selection lacks... either way i get pics that are too white or way too fuzzy. I've decided to return it for a cheaper model with less problems...

Built in VGA quality digital camera
Zoom capability up to 4X and 16X

Has everything!

I just bought this phone and I'm pretty happy with it. I wasn't going to get it because I really didn't want a camera. But since it was free after rebates...you can't beat that since it also came with a free bluetooth headset which works great.
Just have to keep an eye on the pictures you take because it only has 2MB of space and it fills quick. Don't download ringtones or wallpapers from t-mobile. At 99 cents a pop, it's expensive for what you get. Get a bluetooth usb adapter for your pc or use the IR feature that notebooks have. Using that you can send wallpapers and MIDI files to your phone for free. Do a Yahoo search for "midi files" and you'll find collections that people have. I just downloaded a bunch of TV sounds like "Looney Tunes." My only complaint is not with the phone, but with T-Mobile. I used them when I lived in Germany and like GSM however over here the coverage isn't as good as my old service Verizon. The signal isn't as strong at home and I don't get a signal at all at my friends. Verizon is a bit more pricey and they don't have a good selection of phones. T-Mobile is cheaper, has better phones you can use the phone in Europe. Hopefully T-Mobile with expand their GSM coverage. I guess each company has it pluses and minuses. The T610 Phone gets 5 stars, T-Mobile gets 4 only for lack of coverage. I'd give Verizon 4 starts because of the costs (they get you with the fees) and poor selection of cool phones. Good luck.
