love the phone

this is the best phone from Verizon. if you're stuck with Verizon Wireless, this is the best deal. use it as mp3 player in the gym. ability to use mp3 ringtones is a great fun. great voice dial. very dependable as a phone - excellent reception, no dropped calls, good sound, exceptional speakerphone.

I'd give it 4.8 instead of 5 because of crappy camera (don't care much about that).
Product features:
Integrated 1.2 megapixel camera, video capture and playback
Integrated MP3 player
Integrated Bluetooth for hands-free, eyes-free talking
Integrated speakerphone
Buit-in 10 MB memory and SD-compatible removable memory slot

Typical Motorola junk

This is a good phone, a little over priced for what it can do. The first problem is that the software is still buggy and cause slowdowns when the phone is operated. The phonebook is bad because it does not let you organize different numbers under one name so meaning that you will have the same name with his/her mobile number, work number, home number all listed as separate entries. The worst thing about the phone is the volume. The ear piece volume is really low and u have to use a headset when outside. The speaker phone is an adavantage. The bluetooth is really great and easy to setup and use. You can download the Motorola Phone Tools from and use it to synch your outlook and your phone. You can also get the USB cable for the phone, from like ebay or something, and add all the ringers and photos and videos also. Overall nice phone but unless you really want ATT, otherwise I would look at the Nokia 6600 offered by TMOBILE.

Motorola HS850 Bluetooth Headset
Great for home/office use, good for a car, not a semi.

I first bought a Motorola HS801 to use with my Razr V3 phone, but took it back and tried the HS850. I am a professional driver for a major shipping company, I drive a 2005 Kenworth T800, but both of the Motorola branded Bluetooth headsets were not loud enough to hear over the typically high ambient noise inside the tractor trailer. The speaker of this headset rests against the outside of the ear, so to even come close to hearing I had to press it hard against my ear. The microphone also picked up this ambient noise and it was hard for callers to hear what I was saying.

In the end I purchased a Jabra BT250v, which has a noise cancelling microphone and "in the ear" design which suits itself well to the high noise environment I must use my phone in.
Product features:
Bluetooth wireless technology means that the sheer convenience of hands-free communication is enhanced with total freedom of movement.
Unfold the boom microphone, place the headset over the ear and a link will be established automatically.
This universal accessory encourages users to update, change and evolve because it is compatible with all other 1.1 compliant Bluetooth wireless technology phones by Motorola and other manufacturers.
Smaller Size, Bigger Power. This tiny powerhouse is less than 5 cm in diameter when folded and weighs just 20 grams.
Increased talk time of up to 8 hours and standby time of up to 200 hours.

Above avarage phone at a GREAT Amazon Price!

The E715 Phone is a good (B+) phone overall for the money that you will spend. I recomend that you purchase the phone from Amazon and save some $$$. The FREE shipping is faster than you may expect. I recieved my phone in 7 days (business M-F). The phone was shipped via UPS.

1)The E715 along with T-Mobile offer EXCELENT customer service - you may have to be on hold... for half your life, but the service rep. WILL attempt to HONESTLY solve the problem. 2) The E715 has NO external antenna. At first glance seems to be a bad idea... however the service reciption in the San Francisco Bay Area is EXCELENT (East Bay). 90% of the time the E715 has all service bars lit. I have never dropped a call yet... well I did drop a call but it was my Ex-Girlfriend... lets just say the call was "oddly" ended. 3) The battery life on the E715 is good provided that you restrain from constant menu surfing and pictures. Under SEVERE heavy use the E715 will die in about 2 days (48 hours) on a 3 hour charge. 4) If you like menus, then your in for a treat... Thank goodness they are relatively simple for the modest computer user. 5) The E715 has a cool service light (7 color - one color or disco inferno like rotations) and a bright LED light/flash. 6)The E715 has 1000 number memory and 200 number sim memory. 7)The screen is bright!... at night... avoid sun. 8)The volume of the ringer and calls are LOUD. 8)The external screen is NOT COLOR... however I find the numbers, icons and symbols that appear are VERY CLEAR; compared to color screens that are SO small you cant read the numbers... MUCH better on the eyes.

1) The pictures that you capture on the E715 are pasted onto the menu screen in DVD 16:9 box with voids on the top and bottom... this can be ugly. 2)The 7 color service light CAN NOT identify who is calling... Example EX = RED! MOM = GREEN!. 3)The included ringtones are the worst songs EVER! you have 25 included - be perpared to download or listen to the T-Mobile chime for a LONG TIME. 4)The LIGHTS (service and LED/flash)and external caller ID are so bright, if they are on in a dark bedroom you will not get any sleep! - I find that I gave to turn the E715 upside down on a pillow to avoid the icons/time that always remain lit.
5)The E715 camera can turn out some undesirable pictures if you are not close to the object (within 3 to 5 feet).

Conclusion: If you want a GOOD (B+) phone for the money - choose the Samsung E715 and plan from Amazon. If you go to a T-Mobile store they will not be able to offer the same price with the "special offers" offered here at Amazon.

If you like this phone and you have DEEP non-college pockets unlike me!(SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY and LSU) and want a GREAT phone I recomend the Moto V600 (A+) and a plan from here on Amazon... Its good to WAIT the price will DROP!

Horrible Phone

I am actually on my second phone because the other just stopped working. Sometimes it would not allow me to touch certain keys, so I sent it back to Cingular. I thought the problem would be resolved after I got a new phone, but I was wrong. Now sometimes when I go to use the phone I will try to dial out and it will say EMERGANCY ONLY and all bars are full for reception. Another thing it does is go off on it's own. It also takes a long time to read the sim card when turned on about a minute. Another issue is the ring tones are verylow on sound so I hardly ever hear it ring unless on vibrate and it's in my pocket. Sometimes to phone will alert me of a voice mail message but no list of missed call. Or it will ring a half hour later informing me of a message received when I have another call. I hate this phone so much. Sometimes when it does not allow me to call out I will open up the battery back and reinsert the sim card then it all of a sudden works or I will hit it against my hand and it will work. This Phone is a curse do not get it. My coworker has this phone and she has the same problems. I can't believe I paid $129. on this dam phone.

Great phone! 4.5 stars!

This phone is great. I made $50 after a rebate and bought it from an authorized agent online. I was going to buy through Amazon but you have to put $100 up front and from the other ppl I didn't have to pay a thing (also got a free car charger and 2 day shipping).

Anyways-I previously had a Motorola V300. This is smaller and lighter. It has great clarity. The colors (inside and out) are awesome.

One con is that the battery life is horrible compared to my V300. I used to be able to use my phone 4 days before it went dead-this one probably wouldn't last more than 1.5 (at the MOST!).

Also-the service light is cool but isn't very practical. It blinks every 5 seconds when it has service (to let you know). But if you're wondering if you have service you have to sit there and stare at it and wait for it to blink (5 seconds is actually a long time when driving!)-so it would be easier to just pick up the phone and look at it! It also flashes a blue light rapidly when you have any type of message but if you have a missed call it doesn't!

Some people don't like how the external screen goes black after a minute but I don't find it very hard to hold down the side arrow for 1 second...

One more thing-there's no quick way to SILENCE the phone. If you hold down the pound key it turns it to "silent mode" -which is VIBRATE. To actually silent the phone you have to go to "alert type" and choose "light only".

Overall, great phone (4.5 stars -between "I like it" and "I love it"!)

This phone is great!

I've had this phone for a week now, and I have yet to have a single problem with it. It comes with just the basic features (color screen, polyphonic rings, etc.) without all the frills of some phones (cameras, video recorders, radios, etc.) This phone is great for someone who wants to upgrade from that old green screen to something a little nicer but doesn't want to be out a fourtune on a phone with features that you have to spend a fortune to even use (picture messaging ring a bell?). The games are nice, and the rings are loud and very audible. The reception is great, and the price simply can't be beat. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone with a listening ear.....I'm already trying to spread the word and get more of my friends updated into the 21st century.

Not bad

I have had this same phone for a year and a half now. The vibrator in the phone went out about a 3 months ago, but that is really the only problem I have had out of it. I believe it is a great looking phone, and the large lcd screen is great for saving pictures to look at later (although not quality enough to send to email and print, but I haven't found any camera phone that good). Overall I would recommend it if you find a good price.
