Bought this phone when it first came out a year or so ago. Back when circuitcity sold ATT phones. Within a month the thing starting losing parts and getting chipped up. Returned it for another...same thing happed within a week. I have returned it about 4 or 5 times total. When ever it fell apart so bad it looked like crap. I got rid of it a long time ago but wanted to let everyone know. The rubber pads inside would pop off, the screen scratches very easy. The plastic is not one color. Its painted over so it chips off and you have another color. A lot of ATT phones are like that for some reason. Its a nice looking phone and when it came out the only flip with a big screen. But at this point there is no reason to buy it. Unless the newer ones are made better. I will never buy a panasonic again. And to bad becasue they are making a really nice 3G phone for the future. I am using the sprint 7300 phone by the way. Very dependable. Dropped it down stone stair and not one mark. Better reception less radiation (a lot less). but no camera and CDMA connects a little slower then GSM. But the customer service with Sprint and the plans blow ATT at its best out of the water.

This phone is a great concept but a terrible implementation. I've owned this phone since it first came out. First, the cover breaks so easily that I had it replaced three times before my insurance provider canceld my insurance. I'll qualify this with saying that I'm an above avarage careful person and have never broken a phone before. The cover is a well documnetd issue in other reviews but this is only the least of my dislikes. For instance, the battery is built in and after a couple of months of use the average battery life goes down to about 20 minutes of talk... I do not believe that this phone is allowed to be sold as a $450 real phone and not a prototype?
I hope the Treo 600 has gone through some phenominal improvements to rise up to an acceptable level.
I've owned a Keyocera 6500 5 years ago and I loved the intelligence and careful thoughts that were put into that thing so early on in the PDA evolution days. If I have to guess, their newer PDA phones must be way better, although I have not owned it myself. I've also heard that the Samsung i500 is a hot product.

I need a GSM phone for world-wide travel, I'm a photographer who needs to have a BT-compatible phone, which can upload image files to the Web. (A Canon 20D WiFi's the image to a HP Ipaq 4705 PocketPC, which captions the image & BT's it to the BT-phone, which then Tx's to the Web.) There's a software package available (see http://www.idruna.com), which runs on the 4705..but if the SX66 & Treo 650 are essentially PocketPCs, then why couldn't they get the WiFi'd image, caption the image, & Tx it to the Web? (ie, avoid the intermediary HP4705) I wonder if that Idruna software can somehow be ported to the SX66 or Treo 650. I bet it can't, or they don't want to.
The Treo650 is a quad-band phone, & has Edge (high speed data network). Isn;'t the latter, where the Treo 650 is better than the SX66? (still dialup speeds).
I'd appreciate any further comparisons between the Treo 650 & SX66. I'm about to spring for one of the, can't decide which. If the SX66 had Edge functionality, I would buy it right now. There are a lot of smaller issues like: USB 1.0 for SX66 (rather than USB 1.1), the screen of the Treo650 is "twitchy". The SX66 looks a lot more compact, the Treo650 looks bulky.

I bought this phone considering it is much smaller than Nokia 3650 and does not have circular keypad. The major issue is ease of use, No seperate keys for Talk and end call. Every time you are in menus you have to press back button, not able to figure out how to go back to main screen in one click. The back button is embedded in the middle instead of corner, thats easy to press. The picture quality is bad. Another good thing missing is speaker phone, wish they had it. If I dont get used to the interface, I will return the phone and go ahead with Nokia 3650, it is big but it seems to have all the functionality and ease of use.
The good feature is it synchronizes very well with outlook but puts the company name at the end of person's name, Wish the sw can ignore that. I would also like to selective synchronization of names if possible.

I have had this phone for about a week, and I couldn't be happier. It has every feature you can think of, and calls are crystal clear even when on speakerphone. It is the nicest looking phone that I've seen besides the i860 and v3, but those are over $300.00. I got my V551 direct from Cingular for $150.00. The camera takes great pictures and the video feature is pretty cool. Picture caller id is awesome. BlueTooth means no more paying for ringtones or wallpapers. I used to have GSM w/ AT&T and they SUCKED! Cingular has been nothing but a great experience for me so far and I love this phone.

When it comes to packing as many features as possible into a small form factor, this phone is about as good as it gets. It is smaller than many phones who have half the number of features. The screen and camera are of a much better quality than many other phones as well. The Amazon description pretty much covered all of the features.A few downsides:
1) The desktop software (which didn't even come with the phone) is pretty bad. Aside from the software itself being unintuitive, the sync over a Bluetooth connection was slooooooow. That combination pretty much, in my opinion, makes the calendaring feature pretty much unusable (ie. this will not suffice as a PDA replacement).2) If you use Bluetooth actively (even if you accidentally leave Bluetooth enabled in range of other Bluetooth devices) the phone's battery drains quick (less than one day).3) Probably not the phone's fault, but the AT&T GSM network seems pretty spotty.
Product features:
Use the colorful customizable external display to identify specific calling groups and events.
VGA camera with 4x digital zoom, large 65,000 color display supports video playback
Integrated Bluetooth for wireless data connectivity, quad band operation allows use on GSM networks worldwide
5MB internal memory to support downloadable applications, MP3 ringtones, wallpapers, and photo storage
Handset comes with mono earbud, mid-rate charger, and battery

So, because of the "It's great!" vs. "IT SUCKS" reviews, I ordered a few of these for people at my office. We have voip phones, and staff in New York, Portland, and... I wanted one myself because they seem neat.
Everyone hates them, and we're all using different hardware. It works "Fine" with my Motorola a630, until is disconnects randomly or if I need to use while moving *At all*, then it becomes excessively staticy. I also want to use it with my laptop at times, for the softphone, and... what a huge pain. I still can't figure out how to make this stable.
Other people are using it strictly with a PC or a Mac (both, in this case) for voip soft phones... and they either stop working randomly, are staticy, and in one case the mic just sounds HORRIBLE on the other end.
suck. Will return them all, I guess, in exchange for something "better". sigh.

this cell phone is pretty good. the best part about it is its durability. being as clumsy as i am, i've broken about three phones in the course of four months and as much as i've dropped this one, it's still working great (although it is quite scratched). it's long battery life is also quite a blessing. however, this phone is probably the slowest phone out there--it takes a good while to turn on and even just scrolling through the phonebook takes a bit of time. the color of the screen is pretty weak, and the attachable camera is basically useless because it takes a really still hand and a lot of patience to get a poor quality picture. lastly, even when it's on the highest volume, the ring is drowned out by some of the newer samsung phones.however, this is the only phone that's lived through various falls with me as its owner (for ten months) and so i'll give it four stars instead of three (the last one is purely out of love).

this is the best phone! i am 14 and have been wanting a cell phone forevr since my older sister got hers 4 years ago (she's 17 now) and so my dad left me with these words: Honey, if u can find a cell phone that works with cingular and is under 80 dollars, i will get it for you. So i found the Nokia 3595 and it is so cool. i can change the color of it whenever i want (right now its pink!), i can change the ringtone whenever i want, and i can IM my friends whenever i want... i think this is the best phone for a teenager that doesnt want to carry a big bulky phone around.
