Audiovox 8910 Flasher V7 Silver Prepaid Phone (Virgin Mobile)
i love it

This will be the 4th phone I will have had with Virgin Mobile. I love the service I receive with the company, and with my usage am paying comparable rates to a contracted service. But this review is on the phone. I am coming from the 8610 (which I have written a review on) to the 8910 or "Flasher V7". I thought I had found the perfect phone in the 8610...until I laid my eyes on the 8910 on the Virgin Mobile website. I purchased my 8910 at my local Target on Friday the 15th for $169.99 plus tax. The phones are almost identical with the exception of some additional features on the 8910. They are as listed below:

-Cosmetic differences, the most noticeable being the availibilty of a blue casing or silver casing. I have the blue, and it looks great.
-The 8910 has voice dial featues. I had never used this before, but have quickly grown to love this feature. I don't have to remember who is what number in speed dial.
-Voice memo. You can record up to 60 second memos for reply. you can also add a written name for your memo. This is great since I have a rather short memory span.
-Downloadable games/wallpapers/screensavers/ringtones. This phone uses a new, faster browser to allow for these items to be downloaded. There are several options in each category, all accesible from the phone. I downloaded the classic Atari game, Pitfall, from my phone. It was easy and quick. The games $3.99, but I would rather pay and have my choice of games. I have not downloaded any wallpapers or screensavers since you can use pictures taken with the phone. You can also download song clips for ring tones.
-My account. When checking you balance, this has a much more involved system, much like what you would see if checking your account online. I really like this new method.
-The camera. Probably the most popular reason people will be buying this phone is the camera. I have never used a camera phone before, but this one is so user friendly, I have not had to reference the owner's manual yet. You can access your pictures or to take a picture through the main menu. Or, the much easier way, a button on the side of the phone. Press it once, you go into camera mode. Pressing it again takes a picture. I am very impressed with the quality of the pictures this camera takes. They are better than my digital camera. Once you snap a picture, you can send it(email or to another Flasher V7 phone), upload it(to the "my pix" on the Virgin Mobile website) or save it to your phone. Doing one of the first two options will cost you 25 cents a pop, so I would be selective in which pictures you send or upload. I personally prefer uploading, there are more things you can do with them, including emailing them. There are 3 settings for the flash-off, this shot only or always on. I have only had to use the flash a few times, the natural lighting was enough. The screen on the phone also adjusts the darkness so you can see what you are taking a picture of more clearly. A few other options are "frames" that can go around the edge of the photo, and voice memos/captions. There are 3 sizes of pictures you can take, and a zoom available on two of them.

Overall, I feel this phone was worth every penny. If you are thinking about a camera phone, I would strongly suggest you check out the Flasher V7

Motorola T722i Phone with Camera Attachment (T-Mobile)
For this $$ it should be better

Overall this is an acceptable phone. Yes, the camera is a joke, but if you're buying a phone for the camera you get what you deserve. There is no way to send a call directly to voicemail without answering it. So even though you can see who's calling in the middle of an important meeting, you can't stop the ringing. A true annoyance. The charge doesn't last long enough, and it doesn't feel as 'solid' as the comparable samsung phone. I have chosen...poorly.

Large color screen supports up to 4096 colors (120x160 pixels)
Synchronize your Phonebook, Calendar and To-Do List

Good basic phone with a few annoyances

I've had my phone for 4 months now and my overall experience with the phone has been average. The calls sound great, the speaker phone works very well, and the two way feature is great. The down side of the phone is the user interface. It is not very intuitive to use like a Samsung phone. It is a huge improvement from older Motorola models but still has a long way to go. The battery life is average. I have to charge the phone every other day and I consider myself a light user. Lastly, the belt clip was design so that you can't see the display when the phone is in the clip. You have to remove the phone from the clip to see who is calling you!
Product features:
Voice-activated dialing
Speakerphone function for hands-free calling
Includes Java-powered applications
Wireless web enabled
Includes 750mAh lithium-ion battery, travel charger and holster belt clip

Motorola FM Stereo Radio Headset for Motorola V60, V70 & T720i Series Phones
Great Concept, Some Design Flaws, Overall I Dig It

I was originally planning to buy a Nokia 6200 which came with an Fm radio feature with the phone but I decided to go with the Motorola V400 instead, partially because there was this radio option.I just got the headset a day or two ago, but I have to say I like it. There are several things though, that bug me about this item, and make it good but not great. I'll go through those first...First of all, the different lengths of the headphone cords for each ear is definitely an annoyance. In their defense though, I'm not sure how they could have made them the same while still having the one you speak into at the right level. Also, in general the headset seems a little bulky and the clip is awkward to attach. In regards to the reception: Usually, it works well, but on occasion it gets "scratchy" and sometimes have to reposition the phone. The only other thing that bothers me is that only the radio is stereo! You're listening to the radio in both headphones, and then somebody calls and they're only in the right ear. This doesn't make sense at all. If you listen to the radio in stereo, you should be able to talk in stereo. Oh well...ok I'm done complaining :)Despite these minor annoyances I think the headset is a really cool item. If you're waiting somewhere as I was today, it's a wonderful thing to have in your pocket. I listened to Chopin on the radio, while playing Chess on my phone. I mean honestly, having a cellphone that doubles as a radio is an amazing thing. Having upgraded from a Nokia 3360 that had no features, to a Motorola v400 with digital camera, mp3 ringtones voice recorder, java games, mobile internet, and this radio feature...the amount things have advanced is shocking.I find this headset to be another amazing piece of technology that will be perfected soon enough. Don't expect a perfected intuitive design, but once you overcome the minor annoyances I think you'll appreciate it's value. Definitely worth getting!
Product features:
Hands-free headset turns your cell phone into an FM radio
Automatically mutes radio for incoming calls
Phone screen displays radio frequency, presets
Answer button, volume control and microphone built into cord

When!?

I don't understand what the deal is with this phone. It's not available in most zipcodes I type in and when I called in to see why it wasn't I didn't get a straight answer. I don't know what Amazon's relationship is with Cingular but it's been very inconvenient for me lately. I've been trying to get a new phone for a while but there's always something on this site that stops me from ordering! And I still don't know why Amazon and Cingular haven't come to an agreement as to why you can't port your number over. I really think they should think of something with it being a LAW and all! Flex your muscles Amazon! Stop holding their products otherwise! This is getting rediculous!!

Special Star Wars edition includes ring tones, graphics and interactive software from Star Wars Episode III - "Revenge of the Sith"
The S710a 1.3 megapixel camera gives you the perfect picture

The S710a also has a cool MP3 player

good phone

This is a good phone with all the basic features. However, it does not have any WAP browser. Also, Verizon & Nokia lock the Nokia PC Suites that you cannot upload ringtones using DKU-5 cable. However, an easy trick to get around it is to rename your .mid to some other extension and you can upload the ringtone the Gallery. Other than some stupid money making scheme and the lack of WAP browser, I recommend this phone.
Product features:
Color LCD 96 x 65 display with changeable fonts so you can change your preferred view
Customizable profiles let you set ringing options, tones, volume, vibrating alert, message alert tone, keypad tones, and warning tones for all calls or caller groups based on your preference
Assign up to 500 entries with multiple contact numbers
Receive numeric and text messages in areas that offer messaging services
Includes Alarm clock, Calendar, Voice recorder (1 minute), Calculator, and Stopwatch

I just got this phone about 2 months ago. I love the features and how it works. I almost always have a good signal and it is so fun. It is neat looking and easy to use. Although the talk and end button are the opposite as on a Samsung phone, so needless to say I hung up on a lot of people after I first got it. Hope you buy this phone its great.

Cutie more like a PDA

I have no complaints over this cell phone. There is no comparison to the Nintendo DS, its a cell phone first and then a game machine. It is a diverse little device,it can play music, videos, type spreadsheets, load jpegs, bmps, gifs, play games, and, oh yeah, call people.

I mainly use it for its 'to do list' feature, calendar scheduler, check email, and as a cell phone. Comparing it to other cell phones, I do believe it is one of the best for the price. A better cell phone than this one is the Nokia 6630 but the sound is not as great and its a lot more expensive.

I do suggest getting a 1GB MMC, if you are interested in using software to use this cell like a PDA.
Product features:
High-performance mobile 3D gaming
4096-color screen and backlight
Bluetooth wireless technology
Hot swap MMC-card slot for external memory
