Virgin Mobile $20 Top-Up Card
VirginMobile is the BEST for Prepaid Phone Service

Virgin Mobile is the best prepaid service provider. TracFone is just HORRIBLE (minutes go as high as $.50 a minute and text messages are $.30 each and I think you have to pay to receive text messages with TracFone. With Virgin Mobile, its $.25 a minutes for the first ten minutes of the day and $.10 a minute after that. Text messages are $.10 to send and free to receive. A lot of content is available at virginmobileusa.com for putting on your phone (ringtones, celebrity voicemail greetings, MTV and Comedy Central Content, and a lot more). You only have to play $20 every three month which is A LOT cheaper than most cell phone service providers. And best of all, NO CONTRACTS!!! Virgin Mobile is the way to go for prepaid phone service.
Product features:
Good for $20.00 worth of airtime
Calls are 25 cents a minute for the first ten minutes each day, each minute after that 10 cents
Voicemail is included; so when you check your messages from your cell phone, you only pay for airtime
No monthly bills, no long distance fees, and no roaming charges
No activation fee or credit check

Sony Ericsson T637 Phone (Cingular)
Didn't care for it.

I had this phone through Cingular, and I had alot of problems with it.
First of all, the small size and crammed arrangement of the buttons made it hard to type a phone number in. The keys are slippery, and thus my fingers were always "missing".

Second, the "online" button on the side is way too easy to push, and my phone was always connecting to the internet when I was least expecting it, and running up charges.

Third, Cingular doesn't make it easy to see if you're roaming or not on this particular phone, which accounted for $3,000 in spurious roaming charges being accrued over a course of 3 months. This, combined with Cingular's really bad customer service (they kept shutting my phone off, and the regional director finally had to personally intervene in my case) made for one BAD experience. Translated: DON'T buy this phone if you live near the Canadian border, cuz this phone won't tell you if you're roaming or not.

Better yet, steer clear of Cingular as well.

No need! Ear bud included in V300 box

First, the Ear bud is included free with the phone. Second, I got the car charger for $5 at Sam's Club. Third, the phone is too big, compared to others in it's class to have a leather case. Besides, the blue is cool so why hid it.
Product features:
Includes Cigarette lighter adapter, Leather carrying case and Hands free earbud
Car cord powers your phone and recharges the battery while on the go
Genuine full-grain leather carrying case with clear plastic front protects the display and keypad
Comfortable earbud, mini shirt clip optimizes microphone placement & eliminates cord weight pull

SKII Addiction

If you think you spend too much time surfing the internet now, with a Sidekick II in your hands you will become a bona fide addict! It's the ultimate `remote control' for the tech savvy multi-tasker.

Of course the SKII is a bit larger than I'd like it to be but then again, I no longer have to carry my PDA, cell phone and laptop everywhere I go! The SKII makes surfing the web easy, convenient and discreet. The clarity of the phone is good and I love the speakerphone function. The camera is decent - daytime pics come out the best! I'm loyal to Nokia's but the SKII isn't too far off par - it is quite user friendly (if you are proficient with cell phones and computers) and it keeps me busy with all the customizations (ring tones, general functionality, downloadable programs). And how can you resist a phone with a full QWERTY keyboard?! I can type a message at normal speeds and I don't have to press a number a zillion times to get the right letter nor do I have to deal with the auto-text that ends up inserting the wrong word.

However, T-Mobile service could be a little better... Granted, I do get more coverage and signal strength than Nextel (and T-Mobile does piggy-back off of the `new and improved' Cingular), sometimes my calls go directly to voicemail even though I have full bars (I'm in the SF Bay Area but travel to N. and S. Cali often). As for Customer Service, I was able to port my number sucessfully and I haven't had a problem so far with incoherent or rude representatives, but I do find that they are not very knowledgeable. If you have any questions about how to use your SKII or etc, I highly suggest you do a search on www.hiptop.com first. I get all my questions answered here. (i.e. The SKII doesn't support Java so if you were to check YahooMail on your SKII then you won't be able to reply to messages. This really bugged me because I bought the SKII thinking that I could respond to emails in my Yahoo account. So, I called TMO's CS and all they said was that the SKII didn't support Java and there was nothing I could do about it. What they didn't tell me is that Yahoo has a non-Java based website for mobile customers which does allow you to check and respond to Yahoo emails - perfect.)

Overall, I don't think I could ever go back to a regular ol' cell phone. I love being able to Google something or check the Yellow Pages (no more $$$ charges for 411!) without having to be at home or even wait to boot up my computer. And for the ultimate computer whiz... the SKII supports SSH and Telnet.

Built-in organizer with PC synchronization

Audiovox 8910 Flasher V7 Silver Prepaid Phone (Virgin Mobile)
A Great Phone for the Heavy User!

In this review, I'll tell you why to get this phone (or why not) and why VirginMobile is the best prepaid service provider. First, I'll tell you about this phone.

This is a great cell phone. I purchased a Kyrocera K9 phone because I thought I would use my phone every once in awhile but I ended up using it every day so I swapped to a Audiovox 8910 "V7 Flasher. (it was very easy to swap)." I love this phone. It has pretty much the same feature as my old phone but speaker phone, colored screen, and, of course, a camera. This camera quality is ok if you don't zoom. You can even get actual photos of the pictures you take (upload your photos from your phone to the website. Then copy them to your computer. Sign up for snapfish at snapfish.com and upload your photos there. Then order them [$.19 for a 4 x 6.{you get 10 free 4 x 6 for signing up}]). You can download a lot of features from virginmobileusa.com and this is the only phone that can download games, wallpapers, screen savers, and other features. I recommend this phone if you will use it a lot and take pictures. The same exact phone (except no camera and can't download some things) is available for $99.99. If you will use your phone "once in a great while," I recommend the Kerocyra Slider phone or the Kerocyra K9.

Virgin Mobile is the best prepaid service provider. TracFone is just HORRIBLE (minutes go as high as $.50 a minute and text messages are $.30 each and I think you have to pay to receive text messages with TracFone. Samsung E715 Phone (T-Mobile)
Worst phone ever!!!! Do not buy this phone!!!

I purchased this phone a little over a year ago and returned it to T-Mobile 5 times for replacement phones. The major problem is with the screen. Eventually, white horizontal lines will appear on the screen. When i talked to customer service at T-Mobile they say that this is NOT a known problem and are able to send out a replacement phone. I can't understand how this is not a known problem when I have had 5 bad phones. Am I just unlucky to have received 5 out of the 5 bad phones that Samsung produced? The second problem is that the phone will turn off at random. I have begun to constantly look at the display of my phone to see that it is turned on and working properly. Again, I called TMobile to complain about this and apparently this is a known problem and are willing to again send me out a replacement phone. Other than that the reception is horrible on the phone unless I am outside of my house or business. Overall I wish I never bought this phone! And sometimes wish I had never switched to TMobile. Their customer service is horrible and they are more than willing to send out this same replacement crappy phone over and over. But, they are not willing to contact Samsung and have Samsung take responsibility and force them to do a product recall. TMobile wants me to spend mopre money so I can buy another phone and pay almost retail price for a comparable phone. They will not give me a price break on a comparable phone with features that are really comparable. Over all I would rate this 0 stars and would look for a different model or different brand.

Large LCD color screen feature 65,000 colors (128x160 pixels)
Built-In VGA camera with 640x480 resolution, flash, and self-timer

Every feature is great, except for the phone speaker

I have had this phone for about a week. Previous phone Samsung A-460 (keep in mind). Pros:
* Good battery life only needs charge about every 3-4 days, not bad considering I average 900+ min a month.
* 2 Charger Optons, either data link style or a male female connector at 5 volt.
* Loud! speaker phone with above average clarity. People cant really tell the difference.
* Push and hold speaker button when closed and automatically activates speaker phone with voice dial, all the while never having to open. This is convenient if you use a car holder, as you can answer the same way by just pressing this button.
* External caller ID, so you don't have to open the phone to know who's calling.
* Call screening feature, it answers and plays a message and you can screen the call via the speaker and answer if need be.
* Good reception, places I thought not possible. ie Eisenhauer tunnel.
* AirPlane Mode. Lets you play games and such without enableing communications.
* Useable as a modem for laptop. Cons:
* Lack of accessories friendly to high use in autos.
* Lack of traditional "ringers" to select from. You have to download them from sprint and they are only good for 90 days. Very annoying.
* Games are also 'Trial' versions. You have to pay to actually Keep a game and use it for more than 2 min at a time.
* Sprint is not always the best to deal with.
* No real alarm! You have to set an appointment, and if you need it daily, set to repeat. Though every time you turn the phone on it will sound an alarm thinking you missed the apt.
* Kind of poor audio with the ear speaker. I enjoy this phone and it definately makes daily use more convenient and satisfying. Now if someone made a car holder more compatible with this and some more choices for a holster it would get a 5 star.
Product features:
Enjoy the convenience of quick, walkie-talkie style communication with one or several PCS Ready Link users anywhere you go
Large PCS Full-Color Screen features a vivid 2.1" main and 1" external 65k-color TFT LCD
Communicate with other PCS Ready Link users using the external caller ID and built-in speakerphone, whether the flip is open or closed
Polyphonic Melody Ringer supports 8 festive melody ringers in 32-chord polyphonic sound
Comes with standard Phone Book that holds 300 entries and separate PCS Ready Link Phone Book that holds up to 200 personal contacts and 200 company-provided contacts
