Nokia 6200 Phone - Next Generation (AT&T)
Very cool

Wow - this phone is great! At first I didn't think the extra $50 over the Nokia 3560/95 (which I also briefly owned) was a lot. But this phone is smaller, has a nicer screen, and even looks and feels better (backlight doesn't creep out the sides, etc). The produces a much nicer picture than other color phones. Downloadings games, applications, news, etc is as simple as browsing the web on this webcam and costs at most $.03/kb with att which isn't bad for no monthly fee. This phone also has great reception. Better than the 3560/95 in my area. I haven't travelled with it yet but the biggest limitation travelling will be finding GSM towers, not the phone. In short - good phone worth the money.

Pure Junk

The clip breaks too easily and doesn't have a firm grip on phone. My phone popped off the "secured" clip when walking up or down stairs. I ended up throwing this piece of junk away before my phone was destroyed.

honestly theres nothing good about this phone. i bought it cuz it looked cool, but after a week the battery wouldn't last for more than a 10 minute call and even with no calls it wouldn't last a full day. it randomly shut off when i call people. then sim pin or whatever is stupid, u have to enter a code every time u turn the phone on.

Wonderful... for about a month

I enjoy the comfort of this product and the convenience of being able to answer my cell phone or activate voice dialing with one touch of a button while my phone remains in its holster.UNFORTUNATLY, between my partner and I, we've gone through 3 of them in 2 months. The first time, a kink in the wire or a slight tug on the wire rendered the microphone unusable. We were able to exchange them, luckily. This time we've been extra careful with them, however just last night the microphone started to go on my headset again. I can hear others just fine but they can't hear me. It will cut out in the middle of conversations. Not a good thing when driving. So this would be a fantastic product, if it didn't break so easily. I'm highly disappointed.
Product features:
Advanced speaker technology
Earhooks conform to fit ear
Fits left or right ear
One touch button: Answer, End, Mute
The 2.5mm jack works with most Motorola, Samsung, LG, Sanyo phones

Stable Phone

I have owned three of these phones for more than a year and two of them live on a construction job site with form diggers. They get scratched, muddy, concreted, and sometimes wet, and despite some heavy scratches on two of them here and there. They work perfectly and the flip hasnt loosened a bit. They taken some good bangs and falls as well. Excellent reception, good camera system, and all around good phone.

Samsung just makes the best phone products out there. I had the S105 before this and still the best phones on the market.

Better Device than Blackberry or Treo for my needs

I've had my SKII fo a little over a month now and find it a good fit for my needs. I am a business user, not a Snoop Dog groupie, and this is a VERY cool device.

Coverage in my area (Austin, TX is good)and while I have not yet traveled away from the IH-35 corridor, I had good voice and data coverage all the way to the TX/OK stateline (as far north as I went). For $20/month all you can eat data, this is a screaming deal. I don't find the web surfing that useful (speed is about like a 28kbps dial-up connection) but for email it is superior to the Blackberry 957 I used a number of years ago. The interface for the phone and for email and the address book is great. Far better than any Nokia phone I have ever used. The intellisync software allows me to create use a separate address book in Outlook that I can then sync with the SKII with a one button push. Very simple and means you can have an abreviated address book if you are concerned about having this infor resident on TMO/Danger's servers. I agree with another reviewier that it would be better that this info is NOT resident, but if that's a concern, limit what you leave on the server.

Drawbacks are no bluetooth, no resident memory for email, pictures etc, no removable memory stick and no easy way to create and use your own ringtones.

Great things, great keyboard (nicer/bigger than Crackberry), intuitive interface/software screen size/clarity. Camera a nice feature, easy to email pics anywhere. A very cool and functional device if you need phone and and email. The web and other stuff are "OK" but TMO data network will have to get faster and more WAP coded websites for content that is relevent for that to be a big reason to buy/use this device.

I purchased through Danger's website total cost $0 after $200 instant discount and $100 in rebates. Worth a year's contract with TMO in my book. Paying $49/mo for 3000 regional anytime minuets and $20/mo for all you can eat data (email, text messaging, etc, etc EVERYTHING DATA included).

I would recommend this to anyone that really needs email and occaisional web service in addition to phone service. Not the smallest/best coolest phone, but the best convergent communication device on the market right now IMHO.
Product features:
Real web browsing
Built-in camera with flash
Built-in organizer with PC synchronization
Photo caller ID
AOL Instant Messenger, text messaging, 6 MB email account

Motorola V710 Phone (Verizon Wireless)
Very pleased with the V710 (Verizon)

Pros:
- Excellent reception
- Easy to navigate menus
- Excellent speakerphone
- Excellent voice command system
- Bluetooth from Verizon!!!

Cons:
- Size is a little large
- Manual doesn't explain several menu options

I've only had the phone a little more than one week, but I'm extremely happy with it so far. First, I'm ecstatic that Verizon has a bluetooth enabled phone (that's not a PDA). And I only wanted the bluetooth for the headset feature, so I have no complaints about it being "crippled".
I traded up from an Audiovox 8900 that was an OK phone. The menus from Motorola are far better, and the reception--while not bad at all on the Audiovox--is amazing on the Motorola. In places where the Audiovox had no signal, I get 1-2 bars on the Motorola.
Also, I think the voice command system that requires no training works perfectly. I've had no problems whatsoever. I didn't choose the phone for this feature, but it's turned out to be one of my favorites.
As for the battery life, it's about what I expected and have seen from other similar phones. Today, I used the phone for 3 calls totaling 2.5 hours before the battery indicator even dropped from "full charge". I made several more calls which dropped the battery to about 50% before I bothered to charge it.
I've also been very pleased with Verizon reception and service for the 10 months I've used them. They replaced my Audiovox twice with no hassle. (Once the phone kept telling me to power cycle and wouldn't do anything else. The second time, the headset jack deteriorated, so that you couldn't touch the phone without setting off a static storm.) The reliability issues are the big reason I switched from the Audiovox after only 10 months.
My only (mild) compliants about the V710 are 1) the manual that doesn't provide details on some of the deeper menu options and 2) the phone is a little larger than the Audiovox.
Overall, I'm a very satisfied V710 owner.

Misleading reviews - Clarified

I am writing this review because, I noticed that lots of people here have given negative and bad reviews on this product. I have been owning the V710 since February this year and so far I havent seen anything wrong with it. I also use a bluetooth headset (Logitech) and its been a perfect gadget.

From what others say, I guess there could have been few phones that had problems and was not recalled by Motorola. Otherwise, I have had no problems and before I bought, I did a qucik survey of people owning this and they all gave me great feedback.

Great Phone!

I normally never really cared for Motorola phones. Everytime I have had them with AT&T the phone always froze and calls were always dropped. This phone, with Cingular, is different. I have had the phone for a little over a month now. So far, I have yet to experience any dropped calls. The reception is great. The phone is beautiful. It takes great pictures too. The sleek design is very ideal for me. It fits nicely in my small purses. I do have some concerns though.

First, when I use the bluetooth headset with the phone, the phone battery lasts for only about two days. Also, the outside monitor, on the flip, isn't nearly as clear as the picture on the inside screen of the phone. Also, the keypad does get fingerprints easily (the phone came with a motorola cleaning thing so it really comes of easily). I am though concerned about dropping the phone on my tile. The phone seems really delicate. Using the bluetooth earpiece though allows me just to take the earpiece out of my purse and walk around with that. Remember as with all phones, to occasionally power them off to receive updates from your service provider. This will increase the phone recpetion and prevent drop calls.

Overall, I am extremely happy with this phone. I encourage those who are interested in purchasing this phone to read other consumer reviews such as mine.
