First time BT Headset user. The price was great. It does not have all the Bells and Whistles as some more expensive models, but so far I am very happy.
*Volume is great.
*No complaints of static or noise.
*No dropped calls.
*Easy to configure.
*Extremely easy to use.
*Excellent Manual (Both Quick start and complete.)

Slick looking but unreliable

I got this as a Christmas present and it was amazing out of the box, but as the months have passed, it has developed annoying personality quirks that make it unreliable. The operating system locks up frequently, forcing me to remove the battery and turn the phone back on. The outside display breaks up and has to be restored by turning the phone off then on. The Bluetooth connection to my wireless headset will mysteriously drop out. The button response is often slow. And the voice recognition for voice dialing isn't very good (I never use it).

I have to say the camera is actually its best feature, taking very decent photos and the zoom works pretty well. All-in-all if it were stripped down and made more reliable, it would be an excellent phone.
Product features:
Colorful customizable external display
VGA camera with 4x digital zoom

sprint phone and service

This the 5th Samsung I have owned after having the phone replaced 4 times in the past month. My previous samsung 8500 worked great, so after 5 years with the same phone, I thought I would upgrade. The phone is feature rich, Buy it if you don't mind having your call reception break-up. Dial out and listen to the static and crackle as it rings. Everyone of the Samsung 660s do it. Sprint will tell you this is normal, even though it does not happen on other Samsung models or other brands. This is a manufacturing quality issue, cheap components to offset rich phone features. Ford motors claimed the "Pinto" was fine, until enough people died in car crashes. Firestone claimed there was not a problem with their tires. If you don't care about call quality and just want a color screen, you can't beat this phone.
Product features:
This tri-mode, folder-style CDMA phone sports a large color screen and other top features
Compatible with Sprint PCS ergonomic game pad
Large LCD color screen features 65,000 colors (128x160 pixels)
Equipped with automatic no-training voice dialing
Comes with a voice memo that can record messages up to 10 minutes long

Good Phone Bad Company

I like the phone itself, but don't ever break it!!!

I needed to replace a plastic window that cracked; the electronics were fine. Samsung doesn't have service centers like some other companys, and getting through to their repair department is a NIGHTMARE.

I spent 1 1/2 hours on hold and finally had to hang up to pick up my son. The next day I spent 2 1/2 hours on hold only to get a recording telling me that they were on holiday (they weren't) and to call back during normal business hours. I then called back and asked for a supervisor since I didn't want to get transferred just to be disconnected after 2 1/2 more hours.

I was told one would call me back in 3 business days. I don't care how awesome the phone is...any company that shows such little regard for its customers will NEVER get my business again. Unless you have many hours to waste in the event you need their repair department, I would strongly recommend you look for another phone.

I love my MPX220

I bought my Mpx220 in November and overall have been really pleased with it. Originally I had the old ROM version but exchanged it for a 1.3. This thing is loaded with features! In my opinion, the MS Smartphone setup far exceeds any other conventional cell phone (excluding pda phones). I never want to go back to using a regular cell phone. I wanted some pda functionality in a compact size, and found the perfect (at least almost perfect) match in the Mpx220.

As a phone: it works well... The volume issues are fixed with the 1.3 software. It isn't extremely loud, though loud enough. Reception has been better than any other phone I've owned. I can hear callers clearly and they hear me clear as well. Picture Caller Id uses the external display or the main screen if the flip is open. speakerphone works pretty well. Quad band is great to have if you travel. I recently visited London, Pakistan and Dubai. I bought local SIM cards, popped them in and they worked flawlessly. Cool! (My phone came unlocked). The contact list is excellent. You can basically add all contact info you'd want in the phonebook which also syncs with Outlook on your PC. Searching contacts is also the best ive seen on cell phones. Just start typing the name and it filters the list. It's a lot more convenient than scrolling.

Pda-ish functionality: This phone is really like a mini-PC. Start Menu, windows explorer, internet explorer, outlook, calendar, etc , etc. Syncing with a computer is easy using Microsoft's Activesync. You can use the included cable or even sync over bluetooth. I was even able to set a schedule for my phone to sync with the computer every night automatically via bluetooth. cool! Transferring files is very easy. The file system is excellent, similar to that on a PC. You can search files, sort, manage ect. When using activesync, you can explore your phone and manage files as you wish. Or if you have bluetooth on your computer, just beam any file over. It can play mp3 files (in stereo using a stereo headset), open word docs, excel sheets, picture files, etc. Smartphone apps are coming up to speed and becoming more available. Besides other sort-of-useless things, you can even encode and watch your DVDs on it. If you fill up the 32 mb on the phone, you can add memory (up to 512) via the mini SD slot.

Camera: Compared to other camera phones, unfortunately, the camera is sub par. It doesn't bother me much though since I only intended using the camera for photo contacts and just for fun. don't expect this or most other camera phones to replace your digi cam. There is a 'flash' which is bright but not too useful as a camera flash. (i wish I could use the LED as a flashlight!).

Internet/email: Internet explorer makes it easy to browse the internet on this phone. you can access mobile web pages or regular internet pages. you can access your email using pop or just webmail through the internet. Works pretty well, just be careful of charges. get a data plan if you will be using this a lot. it uses GPRS and ufortunately no EDGE.

-Functionality: it does a lot of stuff.
-Connectivity: bluetooth, infared, usb, activesync, internet
-Quad band world phone
-Dual screens
-stereo output
-Configurable: there are a lot of options and settings.

-A few bugs, you may need to turn it off and on. I had to do this about 4 times since I got it (3 months).
-Can't voicedial via bluetooth headset.
-Camera is sub par (though i don't care for this much).

If you're looking for a phone that does more than just being a phone in the same form factor, this is a pretty good choice. Fully utilizing its potential may require a bit of tech savy-ness, though Im sure people just wanting it to do basic things will find it pretty intuitive.

Hope this helped those of you shopping around.

UPDATED: At the risk of jinxing myself

I ordered my phone on January 3, 2005 and it was delivered to my home on January 5, 2005 during a really bad snow storm in Illinois. I turned on the phone and it was setup in less than 2 minutes. I didn't even have to call AT&T.

The features on the phone are great! I don't find navigating through it's menues to be a problem at all. I have hit the mMode button though a few times accidentally especially when ending a call. I'll have to find out how to disable that.

I have an 2005 Acura TL with bluetooth hands free software built into it and the phone paired with my car in like 3 minutes. It gets great reception anywhere I go. I've had one complaint that when talking using the wired headset (included with the phone) it's a little hard to hear me.

Get the phone and don't be discouraged by the very negative reviews found on this page. Amazon and AT&T are very pleasant to work with UPS delivered way ahead of schedule. I'm happy with my purchase.
Product features:
Built-in CommuniCam digital camera
Bluetooth enabled; infrared support
PC Synchronization using SyncML over WAP
Instant Messaging client - Yahoo, AOL, and ICQ supported

Great Phone

I've had this phone for a little over a month now and I love it. I switched from a Motorola V300 and I'm glad I did. Service through Verizon is great (I no longer miss calls like I did with TMobile) and I can hear just fine.

I also just ordered from LG's parts line the software and cable to synch Outlook with my phone. Now my contacts, calendar, ringtones and wallpaper can all be transferred back and forth. I like having my calender available - I don't always carry my PDA, but I always have my phone.

The battery life is great - I can get hours of talk time out of it and it will go the whole week (without calls - or a bunch of short ones) without needing to be charged.

The camera is OK (I bought a digital camera to take pictures with - this was just icing on the cake) and it takes videos which is a neat party pleaser or at least something to take the humdrum out of the work day. :)

Product features:
VGA Digital video/camera with flash and rotating lens
Send and receive picture messages
Record 15-second videos and send video messages
Speed dialing and voice-activated dialing
20 unique default ringtones plus vibrate and silent alert

Motorola V300 Phone (T-Mobile)

I used to have both Motorola V66 and V300. Comparing V300 to V66:1. The reception quality (the main feature of the mobile phone for me and I guess for most other users) is about the same. I did not notice any improvement in V300. Turning off the battery save did not increase the performance in areas where the reception was bad.2. The size of the phone (the second most important feature):
V300 is much bigger and heavier that V66. V66 is a winner here.3. Missing bluetooth interface limits the business (synching appointments book) and in-car use of the phone. Motorola decided to save a few bucks and probably lost a lot of customers to Sony-Ericsson T610. T610 is fortunately for Mororola was a bad competitor: the build quality of Sony products is so bad that T610 breaks down within a few hours of use (this was the case with me and many others).4. V300 has a bulk of totally useless features that consume space and power: the useless poor camera, color display, speakerphone??. V66 wins here again.Overall I regret buying V300. V66 was a better product.
If Motorola could add a bluetooth and improve the reception, while reducing the size, I would be a buyer for their next product.
Product features:
Tri-band GSM capability
Large color display features 65,000 colors
Built-in VGA camera with zoom

Chic but poor reception

It takes a while to turn on the phone and sometimes when you move too fast from one function to another, it will "hang" (yes, just like a computer). When this happens, you'll have to remove the battery and put it back in to turn on the phone again.

Since it has a built in antenna, the reception is considerably poor. Guess it's just something you'll have to deal with if you want a chic phone.
Product features:
Large 128x160 pixel 65.000 color screen
MMS for composing messages using images, sounds and text
