Kyocera Slider V5 MTV Edition Phone (Virgin Mobile)
Slider

It was christmas, i crept downstaires to the sitting room, and saw a present gleaming in the light of the fireplace, i opened it and with excitment in my eyes i saw the Kyocera Slider staring back at me, and it wasnt soon till i had become hooked on the phone... pros: color, slider action, affordable, customizable
cons: only 4 games, no other accesories for cover.. this phone is pretty cool, but the bad thing is it takes a while to get use to the buttons, you cant download games, and the music is only used for Virgin mobile, MTV, and VH1 therefore places like zingy, are not accesable with this phone
Product features:
No prepaid minutes included. Comes with charger.
Unique sliding design - phone slides open with the push of a thumb
Full-color screen
Downloadable, polyphonic ringtones and vibrate alert
2-way text messaging, 1-touch and voice dialing

I love this thing

I love this item. I have had it for about 3 months now. I paid about 100 dollars with all the discounts. Being 16MB is pretty good considering the price and dual function. The phone function is really nice, though I wish the speaker phone was a bit louder. It is very easy to hotsync software to the phone. Only thing I have been having problems with is installing new ringtones, but that is a trivial issue. As for the customer service, I have never had an issue. I had every issue I had handled quickly. Always have with sprint and handspring.
Product features:
Combines a PCS Vision mobile phone with a 16 MB Palm OS organizer
Full color display with backlit keyboard
Send and receive e-mail and access the Web wirelessly with easy-to-use keyboard
Synchronize data with your PC or Mac in seconds with USB connection
Includes travel charger, stylus, and hands-free headset

JABRA Bluetooth speakerphone. Portable handsfree device for use in the car, the home and the office.
Useless in a car.

I was impressed with my Jabra Bluetooth headset, so I took a chance with this Bluetooth Speakerphone. It worked fine in a quiet room, but if there's any ambient noise at all, the microphone picks it up and makes it impossible for anyone to hear you, including the phone itself. My V710 could not understand my voice commands unless the car was sitting still with the engine off. Same issue in my office because of the PC noise. Does not live up to the advertising. When I returned it to the vendor, the rep told me they'd had lots of these returned for the same reason.
Product features:
Bluetooth speakerphone. Portable handsfree device for use in the car, the home and the office. Provi
All Bluetooth compatible handsets

DO NOT BUY!!!

It's small, its good looking, the interface is OK, some nice features. If you want a tiny PDA, it might work for you. If you want to make calls, get another phone. Reception is AWFUL! My gf and I signed up with Cingular together. She got Nokia 3500 free, I opted to pay a bit extra and get this phone. Making the same calls from the same places on the same network, the T226 was in every way inferior when placing a call. Dropped calls, not able to connect even when signal reads medium, static, echo. Even my 3 year old bottom of the barrel Samsung was better. I've said "Can you hear me now," more times in the last 2 weeks than I ever have! Returned it after 2 weeks and got the Nokia 3595. Now I have a cell phone.
Product features:
The T226 showcases a large color display
Supports multimedia messaging, e-mail, and Internet browsing (WAP 2.0)
Features polyphonic ring tones and the ability to download games from the web
Comes with three games - Ace of Spades, Deep Abyss, Five Stone
Included with phone is a Battery, Standard Charger, and Headset

Motorola HS820 Bluetooth Headset - Hematite Gray
Not a bad headset, but significant weaknesses

After a week of use with my iPaq h6315, I'm returning my HS820 in favor of a Jabra FreeSpeak 250. As headsets go, it has the quality one would expect from a Motorola, but it seems that they sacrificed sturdiness and call quality in favor of light weight. Construction is very light and feels rather flimsy. While it is comfortable to wear, the net result was that I spent all my time afraid I'd break it. In contrast, my new Jabra is much sturdier and heavier, but wears just as comfortably, if not more so, than the 820. The very light weight of the 820 and "non-intrusive" speaker design meant that I found myself pressing the headset against my ear to hear the caller, even in very normal backgroudn noise conditions (restaurant, work, etc). Most callers complained that I sounded "very far away". I had significant problems keeping the HS820 connected to my iPaq, and often had to put incoming calls on hold while I sorted problems with the headset. In sum, for the money, and given my generally very good experience with Motorola products in the past, I expected much more from the 820 than it delivered.
Product features:
Simply turn the headset on, place it on your ear and a Bluetooth® link is automatically established
The multifunction button allows you to place, receive or end calls, all with the push of a button!
With Bluetooth wireless technology, devices work together even up to 10 meters (30 feet) away.
The overall compact size and lightweight (less than 20g) allows for easy storage when not in use
Lengthy talk and standby times include up to 6 hours of talk time or 100 hours of standby time from a single full charge

Bad reception

I have had this phone for about a year now. I thought it looked great in the store and the price was very attractive. I was a little hesitant at first with it, because the display model was non-operational and when I asked to see it working, he refused because he did not have a valid SIM card for it. I took the phone anyways, because I got it for around $25 after rebates.
The bad points:
Right away, I noticed the slow speed of the phone. Scrolling through the phonebook is not fun and often requires you to correct the overscroll caused by the slow speed of the phone. Navigating through menus takes too long. Even in full service, it takes nearly 40 seconds to fully turn on. Recently my phone has been either cutting me off of calls or not letting me dial out, even though I would have full signal strength. I had the phone looked at, and At&t told me it was because of recent network changes...i guess, whatever. It also displays odd messages on the screen sometimes, such as "cingular" and "Access denied" Restarting the phone solved this. Sometimes it will display a small phone icon will appear that is crossed out. The display is not that great, not nearly as crisp and detailed as other colored screen phones. The screen also fades and smears when you play games. I would avoid the camera attachment also. The used the wireless internet for a couple of weeks and did not like it at all. It would take literally 4-5 mins for me to access my Ebay auctions I was selling. It loads the pages incredibly slow, now matter where I was in Ohio. The screen collects dust well and scratches easily. The phone is a little large, you will know it's in your pocket (i was using the nokia 8260 before and it was smaller). The joystick is frustrating if you like using your thumb. The volume of the earpice does not go high enough if you are in a busy room. The good news:
It's a cheap phone. I guess it is worth it's price around $25. It allows you to save all contacts on the SIM card, which is nice when changing phones. It can beam the info through infrared also. You can change it's faceplate easily. The battery life is about 2.5 days on standby. It comes with some cool ringtones including about 5 polyphonic. The games are pretty cool on it. You can download pics and place them as your background(standard on most phones anyways). The case of the phone is sleek looking, I got some compliements on it. You can hook a camera up to it. It has a voice clip recorder for voice notes. The sound quality of calls is not bad. The microphone is really good. Conclusion: Go with the t306 if you aren't in a hurry and don't mind reduced quality. I would recommend the new t616 camera phone, it improves so much on this one.
Product features:
LCD color display supports 256 colors
Polyphonic ringtones
Downloadable games
Phonebook can contain 250 contacts
Includes battery, headset and travel charger

V60t w/ SunCom service

Living in Columbia, SC (with an occasional drive to Charleston), I get fantastic service from SunCom and the V60t from Motorola never ceases to impress me. I decided that I'd had enough of Sprint so I went to buy a new phone (also, my old Samsung N240 began dropping calls). The sales rep suggested that I get another Samsung phone. While they are shiny, lightweight, and relatively advanced - it seems to me that Samsung has lost sight of the reason most people buy mobile phones - to do business and keep in touch ... verbally. Signal strength on Samsung phones has been, in my experience, terrible. Motorola, however, focuses more on keeping you in touch with the towers, and thus the people you wish to talk to. This phone is not without fault however. Perhaps the biggest disapointment was the internal screen's contrast. Viewing the display in full sunlight can be troublesome - but not impossible. The outer monochrome LCD screen displays the vitals (caller ID, signal strength, battery, date and time, and digital/analog indicators) and does it quite well.Overall - really great phone for people that wish to use it as such. Make no mistake, this is not a bizare communication device; leave Samsung phones (and Sprint PCS) for the kiddies to take those terrible-quality pictures and send indecipherable text messages with.
Product features:
New version of the V60 offers a large color display, plus a new larger external display
Other upgrades include 4-way navigation keys and voice digit dialing
Phonebook can store up to 500 contacts
Comes with three games: MotoGP, Mahki, and Kick Champion
Includes a changeable metal shell

Size Does Matter

Got this phone with t-mobile service and haven't regretted switching from ATT. Been disappointed before time and again with quirky billing and service issues of Sprint and ATT. T-mobile has not disappointed yet in three months. Service coverage is not that bad.. Works flawlessly when it's on. Speakerphone is great. Camera is awesome for the fact that it is a 'Phone'. I have given up on convergence and bought this phone as it has limited calendaring, extensive addressbook and all other features I care about in phone. The throwback dialpad is not that big a deal.. just takes some getting used to.
Product features:
Wireless phone with integrated video/digital camera
3.4 MB on board storage, MultiMediaCard expansion slot
Oversized display for MP4 video playback
High-speed Internet access, supports Java-based downloads
