Motorola V300 Phone (T-Mobile)
I would also like you to get this phone so I can buy it

Motorola hasn't released many good new flip phones in the last several months but that's changing. I purchased two new V300 phones just before Thanksgiving and my wife and I love them.Very easy to use, the color screen is crisp, and I've not had ANY problems at all with the software, solid as a rock. So many improvmements over my old phone, the specs tell the story, built-in camera, speakerphone, great sounding ringtones, etc. The phone has a solid, durable feel. Motorola spends a great deal of time and money making sure they have a rugged phone that holds up over time.I had AT&T previously and while the service had great coverage the quality of the call was not always that good, must be the old TDMA network. Ever since I switched to T-Moble the calls have been very clear, even with only 1 or 2 bars of signal strength! The GSM network is superior when it comes to clarity.Overall, the phone is a great value and it works with all my old V60 accessories. For the money (I paid $100 after rebate) you can't find a better, more durable phone. Highly Recommended.

Tri-band GSM capability
Large color display features 65,000 colors

Not the best LG I've had

A few months ago I traded in my old LG for the newer version Verizon offered. I was really happy about it, but I always noticed there was something wrong with the service, it always took my phone way too long to connect a call.

It got so bad that my phone was worthless, it wouldn't connect any type of phone calls, which meant that I had to use another phone to get my voice mail messages off let alone talk to people.

Verizon ordered me a new phone and when it arrived it wouldn't stay charged. Switched the batteries and it still wouldn't charge, so they switched me with another phone.

I realize that I happened to get a couple lemons for phones but I am not impressed with the way they don't check their phones when leaving the company and there are features on my new phone which make me miss my old LG.

I can't wait until I can upgrade my phone.

Samsung x475 Phone (T-Mobile)
great phone for grown-ups

I'd highly recommend this phone for the average grown-up...someone who owns a camera and doesn't plan to take crappy little pictures with their phone, who doesn't need to get on the speakerphone with six friends or play games all day, and who basically wants a nice phone that works well.

I've used Nokia and Motorola phones in the past, and switching to Samsung was a good decision. Their predictive text entry system (T9) is FAR superior to Motorola's ITAP; also the menu is much more intuitive, and the keypad is easier to use. I thought Nokia phones were also quite good overall - but I much prefer a smaller flip-style phone, which Nokia doesn't carry.

The reception on this phone is also excellent; I get a signal even in the basement of the hospital where I work. Previously I thought t-mobile's signal wasn't very good near my job, but now I realize that the problem was my Motorola phone. The screen is fantastic, and the layout overall is sleek and stylish. The phone is very small and light, yet not flimsy. The lack of an external antenna makes the phone easier to stash in a pocket or small purse.

I have to make a lot of 3-way conference calls at work, and sound quality is important to me. This phone is a huge improvement over my previous ones in that aspect, too.

I haven't had a chance to really give the battery a workout, but after a day of a couple long calls and a lot of instant messaging, I only lost one bar of battery power.

The phone includes all the basic stuff you expect: a calendar and to-do list, alarms, customizable buttons for the functions you use most, a phone book with all the regular features, text and multimedia messaging/IM, web browsing if you want to pay for that, etc. There's no bluetooth or camera, two features that (in my opinion) are really not necessary in a phone.

A few disappointments: the choice of standard ringtones is ridiculously bad (OK it's not a tragedy, but I have to pay $1.49 to download a plain old ringing sound from t-mobile's web site? C'mon!). The center button works to select items once you're in a menu, but from the start screen it launches you into t-mobile's t-zones service, which is mildly annoying at first. On some other phones, it's easier to quickly switch between different sound/alert modes. But overall, these are minor issues. This phone is free for new subscribers and cheap (with the rebate) even if you have to pay for it, so it's a great deal.

Finally, I'd highly recommend t-mobile's service...at least in medium to big cities - it's not the best if you live in a very rural area. Customer service is fantastic and their $39.99 plan is hard to beat. Using a GSM service like t-mobile is best if you travel outside the US (Sprint and Verizon don't work in Europe, for instance). I check my other options every time the contract expires, but I hear horror stories from Cingular/AT&T subscribers about dropped calls and spectacularly bad customer service. If you're signing up for a new cell phone or upgrading an old phone, this is a good choice.

Great for what it is!!!

I've had this phone for about a month and don't have any complaints. I use this phone with the T-mobile prepaid service which I am very pleased with. I've read all the reviews and yes, the volume is low and the screen is hard to see in the bright daylight, but it has alot of features and the phone looks great. I've gotten several compliments from friends that have much more expensive flip style phones. They are amazed how small and sleek it is and can't believe it has a camera. They freakout when I tell them it cost me around $60. This phone is perfect for me as I usually make quick calls when I'm running late stuck in traffic or am checking voicemails. The reception is great and the speakerphone feature is invaluable when driving in the car. I usually have the phone off so I get weeks out of every charge. The browser is a great feature as I am able to check stock quotes, news or sports scores whenever and the time doesn't get charged against my minute balance. If you are looking into getting a prepaid plan or a feature rich phone for a teenager consider the Motorola C-650 with the T-Mobile prepaid service.

Fun... Interesting... Entertaining

The Shell is fun to play with and create your own messages. It work best at night. One dislike is that it is so easy hit the button on the sheel to take it off then you need to turn off you phone and back on if you want to use it.

But over all it is fun to use at parties.... and when people cut me off at night....haha (kidding)

Motorola A630 Phone (T-Mobile)
Excellent Phone (as long as it isn't defective)

Disclaimer: This is a first two weeks of use review.

A630 with T-mobile service to this point seems like a very good phone. I ordered both a V330 and an A630 through Amazon. They both came in as expected. From the beginning I noticed a strong signal difference between the two phones. The V330 had excellent coverage throughout my house. The A630 would barely work. I was able to get to function in my house with an external antena(?sp). It worked marginally outside with frequent dropped calls. I contacted Motorola early on. The technician felt that I had a defective phone and that I should contact Amazon. I have heard some horror stories dealing with them so I was a little skeptical. I sent an email first. They said that they would definitely take care of it, but that there might me a software update that would fix it. I contacted T-mobile and my issues did not match the software fix (the fix would come from Motorola). So I sent an exchange request to Amazon. They sent my new phone out 2nd day air the day I requested the exchange and provided me with a return shipping authorization (I have 30 days to use) to send the defective phone back. The new phone has just as good a signal as the V330 my wife is using. I am quite pleased. I would have given 5 stars except for the defective unit.

As for the function of the phone. It is very good. I think the navigation on the V330 is a little cleaner, but the typing capabilities of the A630 offset that for me since I want it as a way to respond to email. I have purchased the datapilot software and the calander and phonebook functions work great. The bluetooth connectivity is nice and works well. I can't wait to try out a bluetooth headset.

Tri-band GSM capability
Built-in Bluetooth wireless technology

Samsung E715 Phone

I bought the E715 about 5 days ago(April 19) and i turn on the phone without a problem no big deal..about 45 minutes after turn on 1 battery mark is gone, another hour another one is gone and it takes about an easy 3 hours for the phone to start flashing(LOW BaTT) the other problem i have faced was the camera being alot worse then the V205. The T722i by motorola is horrible! no service Camera stinks! i could draw a picture better then that but the camera on the E715 dims in and out and shows loss of perfection. but other then that I found the AOL I.M built in to be a great feature as well as all of the pictures and everything else..if your willing to bare with the camera and battery then i recommmend this phone but if your looking for a small light weight phone with a camera than go with the V300

Stay away from this phone
