I have been waiting for a decent phone that is small in size but with more functions than regular cellphone. I was waiting for Treo 650 or MPX220 since colleagues in the office have been using MPX200 and Treo 600 with good experience. And then I saw this SMT5600 listed on AT&T's site the other day. Did a little bit research on the net and went ahead ordered one from AT&T after reading so many praises from Asian and European sites. At first I was a bit hesitated because of the 'Audiovox' brand. Then I found out everywhere that this particular phone is made by HTC, a good cellphone maker from Taiwan which has been building many PDA phones for various cellphone carriers around the world. Now, here are things I like about this phone:
- Very small and thin. Comparing to my SE T610, it is just a bit longer but thinner. Very easy to leave in my front pocket without the bulkiness.
- Long lasting battery. Very much needed for me.
- Large and bright screen.
- Comes with all the functions I need: Bluetooth, Outlook Sync...
- Very good and stable firmware so far and the build quality is just superb
- Since I don't rely on this camera for good quality picture, the included camera is actually amazingly better than the one on SE T610.
- Very fast navigation thanks to the powerful 200MHz process
Two thing I don't appreciate are that it is SIM locked by AT&T. And, AT&T has really bad reputation on not supplying unlock code to its users. Never can understand why even after the contract ended, they still won't unlock the phone for you. This makes foreign travel very difficult and inconvenient. For loyal AT&T customers, this might not be a big deal tho. Also, if you order from AT&T, you are 'forced' to order their Mobile Internet plan. They won't sell you the phone without this additional plan. And, you cannot cancel the Mobile Internet Plan anytime during your contract. IMO, the internet plan should be an add-on depending on the need of the customer. So I returned my unit to AT&T and order from Amazon. No internet plan is required plus I get the handsome rebate. Very cool I tell you!
Anyway, if you need to feel it, go to a local AT&T Store or order one from here. You won't be disappointed if you don't mind the candybar type of phone. Comparing to the software bugs problems, low battery life, poor image quality from the new MPX220 and the bulky and heavy of Treo, I like this one very much!

I have had the Sharp T-Mobile 150 for a month. The phone's screen is brilliant and reception in major urban areas indoors and in one's home is good. But the volume cannot be increased enough to hear whomever you called while walking on a busy street with trucks, taxi cabs, etc. Guess I need to use the earphones or get a hearing aid! I love the $29.99 for 300 minutes one-year contract (2-year contract not required), the rebate, the size and low weight of the TM-150. However, I tested the battery. The 750mah battery has an actual stand-by time of about 22 hours, and talk time of less than two hours. Sharp should have made a stronger battery for this phone, in my opinion. If you can talk for two or three hours on the go to one person, get a different phone. I have had to buy two extra batteries, and have to make sure they are fully charged when I go for a walk, out in the city to take urban photographs, etc. Additionally, the software and cable which allow you to manage "My Contacts" and other features costs $51.95 plus S/H on T-Mobile.com. If the battery were better, I would rate the phone at 5 stars.

I just got this phone and I'm really impressed with the quality. It feels extremely well-built and not to mention it's beautiful design. I love everything about it so far. This phone is such an eye candy. I have people coming up to me and asking me what kinda phone this is. When I tell them that it has video, people go nuts. They can't believe all these features are packed into one tiny sleek silver phone. I love how the outside LCD is color and it can be used as a photo caller ID. Or you can use it to take pictures of yourself if you enjoy doing that sort of stuff. It also has voice dialing which is helpful when driving. Overall, this phone is the best on the market in my opinion. Everyone go get it! You won't regret it.

What's in the box [WAS NOT all there!]: Motorola HS810 Bluetooth Headset, Neck Strap, Travel Charger, Carry Case, User Manual, and Quick Start Guide.
My order did not have a Carry Case or Neck Strap and it is unclear to me how to report this back to Amazon. Their process of communicating with them about an order is seriously flawed.
Also, when I ordered this item I also ordered two car chargers. The promise date was changed significantly without Amazon telling me or sending my HS810 ahead [since it was in stock] and absorbing the extra shipping cost, since the problem was one that they created. I placed my order on 4/11 and it arrived a few minutes ago [4/28].
Amazon's Quality Assurance and Customer Service have dropped significantly in the last year and I will look seriously for other vendors who have a higher customer service level and who deliver what is offered without the hassle required for the customer to get what they ordered in a timely manner.

I upgraded from a 3360 TDMA phone to this phone this weekend. So this is a first-impressions review. My carrier is AT&T.So far I have been really impressed with this phone. It has all of the features you might look for on a larger model like the Nokia 6200, which I was also considering. The main difference is the amazingly small form factor. As usual with Nokia, the features are well integrated and almost everything is easy to find and figure out. The phone is extremely light (3.5oz) and the screen is large for the size and bright. Reception seems good, and the included headset is a big improvement over my earlier phone.I have found a few of the more esoteric features somewhat underdocumented, but otherwise I have no serious complaints.Regarding Accessories: My older Nokia AC adapters are compatible with this phone, although the cradle I own is not. At least I don't have to spend more on AC adapters. There is also a PC cable for this phone which seems to cost a small fortune.

THe phone is small enough to fic easily in my purse and is yet strong enough for what I need. I just buy a new card when needed. The thing to remember is to buy the card before the present one quits; the phone lets you know when to buy a new pre paid card.Metookc@aol.com

I switched from a Samsung E715, which was a great phone. As this is my only phone, I need reliability, so I did quite a bit of research, and went ahead and bought it.
Pros:
Cool looking phone, sets itself apart, for sure.
Bluetooth, I LOVE wireless headset feature!
Nice screen, sound quality is fine.
Cons:
Hard to find a good case for it other than the dang puches.
Speaker for ringtones and speakerphone is on the back. If you lay your phone down (or put it in one of the stupid "pouches") you will muffle the volume considerably.
Takes forEVER to charge. Allow at least 4 hours every time.
Overall, a good solid performer. I haven't experienced any of the issues the negative reviews stated, and am very happy with the phone.
The BT headset I am using is the Cardo Scala 500, and they match up well.
I have been a Tmobile customer for three years, and while I can get better coverage elsewhere, I have been spoiled by Tmobile's customer service, so they keep my business.

initially i thought the design was ugly, however, the fact that it had a camera, loudspeaker, fm radio and flashlight overcame aesthetic issues.when i opened the box, the phone didnt look like the ugly phone i had researched on the internet. after looking it over, turns out this is actually one of the more beautiful phones to come along in a while.it has the typical nokia shape but it is quite smaller and lighter than your typical nokia. pics of this phone on the internet make it appear to be the same size as most other nokia phones.one of the first details i noticed was that the shell (case?) is clear on the front and back. apparently, the design incorporates a feature where custom graphics can be inserted in the phone and are viewable from the outside. the radio is a treat because, surprisingly, it is not at all cumbersome to operate. the included earpiece headset (doubles as an antenna; the radio cannot function without it on) is useful for phone conversations but i've had to get used to using a single earpiece for listening to fm radio while working out at the gym. however, a stereo headphone is available.the flashlight is great because i used to use the light from my 3595 keypad and screen when fumbling for dropped items in a dark movie theater or car.the loudspeaker is a nice addition; rare on nokia phones. it also functions as a speaker for fm broadcasts and the built in alarm clock.the obvious shortcomings of this phone are the finger-hurting hard keyboard (though the design is fine, not as unuserfriendly as it looks, even if it looks unconventional), the placement of the date (it blocks the graphic), the position of the camera (it should be higher up so one is less apt to block it with the fingers), and the lack of included polyphonic ringers (my 3595 had some very good ones). the color display lacks the size, resolution and 65000+ colors available on some of the larger color display phones, however it looks pretty decent (better than on my old 3595) and i prefer smaller, lighter phones.
