3 times a charm!

Do yourself a big favor, don't let the slick look and many gadgets fool you. I have had three of these phones. The only reason I had three is due to the fact that when I bought it at "Best Buy" I got a buyer protection warranty. THANK GOD! I have never had so many dropped calls....EVER. I had the same problem as discribed by the woman in Oakland, Try to answer the phone and the phone sends the call to voice mail. Set a ring tone, it might stay for a few rings, then the phone goes back to the default ring. Not a good buy. Stay away from this one.

Toys and more, this phone has extras

The VGA 1000 is a nice phone. The earphone placement is a little high, forcing you to have to move the phone low on your ear, and it takes a little getting used to. It doesnt nearly feel like a regular phone and that can become uncomfortable for the ears. It does get VERY hot. This thing could be a handwarmer in the winter. Seriously. I dont have a real big problem with that. The pictures come out fine if there is no motion in the shot and the light is right. Don't be fooled, this flash isnt doing a whole lot of illuminating. I bought it for the flash alone because the 8100 didnt have one. It's still a pretty rudimentary camera. The LCD is HUGE! By far the biggest until you get into the PDA type phones. The sound quality is fabulous. You can do tons of things with the scheduler and alarms, etc... The games are kinda silly and you have to pay a subscription fee to get them from sprint. Otherwise, you're stuck with three little crappy demo games. The battery is pretty good, but the camera will kill it fast. If you can get this phone for free, get it. However, I would never advise anyone to pay much for this phone. A lot of the gadgets are all subscription based garbage.

Motorola Belt Clip locking for Motorola V60/V60i Phones
This Clip is not for the V60i phone

This is an Amazon scam! The clip is not for the V60 or V60i phones. There is no way you can mount your phone on the clip.
The box claims the clip is for the L7082, L7089 and 120 phones.
So Amazon gets your money, you get a usless clip that would cost you more to return, than it cost to buy. Nice little scam.
I wonder do they ever read these reviews. I wish I had, I took them at their word.

Has not been a great phone.

Been using for over two hears. The first week, the volume button on top left disappeared. Phone was replaced by Amzn. Bout six months later it stopped taking a charge. Amzn replaced again. Now, about a month ago the same volume button disappeared yet again, but now it's out of warranty. Volume is okay but can't adjust because button is gone. In addition, phone seems to be creaking now when I hold it and begin to press buttons, as though the frame work is getting lose or something. Also, sometime the phone won't turn on or if on, won't turn off - if I take out the battery and reinstall, it begins again to work, like it resets contact or something. Time to replace this phone. This phone was not cheap and I've hung in there with it, but only used it for one or two calls a day with no great demands on it. Calls have been generally good with very few dropped calls and T-Mobile service and customer service has been pretty good, even when out of area. But, that said, it has been a small delicate phone and overall I'm pretty displeased with it and wish I'd gone with a good flip phone instead. Would not do it again. Now looking for a sturdy phone with good reviews but cingular reviews don't seem very good.

Much better than my Jabra

At first when I first starting using this I was a little concerned. People were saying that they could barely hear me and my voice dial on my motorola v600 couldn't hear me as well. turns out that since I was using the eyeglass clip, i just needed to move the clip a little more forward on my eyeglass frame. I guess where I was placing it before didn't allow it fit snugly against my cheek. I figured this out because it started working great in the original spot if I pushed it against my cheek.

Another thing that I like about this unit is that when I turn on the headset, it automatically reconnects with my cell phone. My old Jabra didn't, I had to each time go through the settings and tell my cell phone to look for it which was annoying. Also my Jabra was always falling off my ear, probably because of my glasses. So the scala-500 solved both problems I had with the Jabra and I'm very happy. :)

Good phone, great price.

I paid $100 for the phone with Sprint/Handspring discounts. Works fine with a Mac Powerbook. Wireless modem connects my laptop to the internet anywhere I get phone service. I can receive and send emails through snappermail. Palm Desktop works great. The phone does not get the best signal, and the speaker phone is not loud enough, but if you are looking for a cheap phone that has email, wireless modem, internet browsing, text-messaging, and Palm OS for less than $400, this is a good way to go. Setup could be impossible for computer illiterates. Sprint is not helpful, but it is possible and the software will eventually all work.

Great phone

I had a Nokia 7210 until last week and decided to upgrade to T610.
It seems to be a great phone but the following is a list of features that I immediately missed (that I previously had in Nokia):a) loudspeaker - not to mention the single click access to it
b) timed profile - I could put the phone on any mode (e.g. silent) for a defined period of time, so when I am out of the meeting the phone goes back to the original setting without me having to remember
c) any form of handsfree - everything is optional
d) screen saver kicks in even if there are missed calls - so instead of being able to notice missed calls just by looking at the phone, one actually needs to activate the phone by pressing on something
e) screen is very sensitive to any type of touch - no wonder Sony provide a cleaning cloth - another thing to carry with you at all times!
f) a silly button on the top-right hand side of the phone: when clicked by mistake it automatically connects to the internet - always lock the keypad!
g) do not by mistake push the "mouse" to the left as it also connects automatically to the internet - always lock the keypad!
h) no FMThings that this phone has and Nokia didn't:i) camera - although the quality is very poor compared to say Moto V600 - I do not think I will use that feature much
ii) Bluetooth - although that means nothing unless you have the optional bluetooth headset, USB dongle or another Bluetooth phone around
iii) bigger and more hi-tech icon-based screen - although cannot be seen from any angle other than directly in front - it would have also helped had it been a touch screen! All in all I should have stayed with the Nokia - but I was too hasty and also ordered the headset so there is no way back now. I will try to provide an update when I receive the Sony 35 headset.Cheerio

Thank You Catherine Zeta Jones!

I love my Nokia 3595. T-Mobile offered it for free. "Get More" is their advertising slogan. Catherine Zeta Jones' wonderful TV ads convinced me to explore their wireless service. When I went on-line they were offering the Nokia 3595 free with a years'contract. I have now had my Nokia 3595 for a couple of months now and am very pleased with my new phone. It looks great with its hip design. I absolutely love the keypad. Reception has been great as well. I haven't had any problems.....Hey people....Get More...Choose T-Mobile, and the Nokia 3595.
