Motorola V710 Phone (Verizon Wireless)
It's all about the battery

This is truely an awesome phone but you have to get the extended battery and you have to fully charge it then let it run down and fully charge again. Otherwise this phone will constantly lock up and that's a pain. The bluetooth earphone is a must have. I can put my cellphone on the coffee table when I get home, connect the bluetooth earphone and be able to voicedial, answer, adjust volume from anywhere in the house. It even recognizes digits by speaking them. Way cool !! This is a great feature. This phone will litterly do anything. For a phone that has the most, choose the V710.

Subpar Phone

I received this phone today and am very disappointed with its features. The flaws of this phone include:1) The screen goes dark in a matter of 20 seconds. As far as I can tell, this setting cannot be changed. This makes it impossible to even view the time on the phone without unlocking it. As a battery saving feature it is useful, but I would like to be able to disable it.2) The color screen, as many have noted, is of poor quality. It only has 4,000-some colors, instead of 65,000 that many phones have.3) I find the tones it makes when operating the phone to be annoying (that's just my opinion). You can turn them off, but I'd rather have ones on that are not annoying.4) The lack of a flip mechanism on this phone is more of a nuisance than I would have thought. 5) The speaker is on the right side of the phone, so you would have to hold the phone on the side in order to get the sound to come out evenly between the two ears.6) The phone's menus are not customizable, like they are on most Motorola phones.I think Motorola users who switch to this phone will have annoyances with some of the same things that I did. This phone has some positive features which other reviews will tell you about, but I'm too annoyed with the negatives to recommend this phone to anyone.

Nokia 2260-frustrating beyond words

I'll admit: I was spoiled with my Qualcomm 2760 thin phone. It had a great display, and was nice and thin. I had to change it last year, when I moved to FL and found that Sprint had a "dead area" of coverage, which, unfortunately, seemed to be directly over my house!I switched to AT&T Wireless, and have found the coverage and call quality to be very good. However, the horrible Nokia 5165 phone they gave me was thick, and the display was illegible. When my contract was up recently I was seriously thinking of changing carriers just to get a new phone, even though I liked AT&T.Enter the NOKIA 2260. When I told the AT&T rep my problem, she went straight for the 2260. The display is so bright, I use it as a flashlight sometimes when I'm looking for something in a dark room. I'm not kidding. A very nice blue display, and decent size numerals, means I can check the time when walking my pooches at night. It also uses a regular 2.5mm (?) headset jack, unlike the old NOKIA that had a special adapter. Holds a couple hundred numbers; it is my phone book. Battery life seems great. Best of all, it has a built in vibrating paging feature. Quit squinting! Buy this phone!

Great phone for first time users

This was my first cell phone. It's great because it isn't overly difficult to learn how to use. I read the manual so I could figure out all of the capabilities of the phone. Very fun because the phone has capabilities to change faceplates, keypads, rings, and boarders along the screen of the phone. It has voice activated dialing, along with being able to store addresses, email addresses, and even has a year round calendar in it. Great sound, great reception. Overall i am very pleased with this phone. If you don't need anything fancy (color screen, flashy flip-phone image, internet, downloadable rings, etc), just to use as a phone, this is for you!

Highly customizable phone allows user to customize ring tones, graphics, and covers
Large grayscale screen supports 96x65 pixels and 4 shades of gray
Games include Space Impact, Bumper, Snake II, and Snowboard -- plus, user can download more via Java

Jabra EarBud for phones with Universal 2.5mm Jack

This product is a great combination of the two types of technologies that are proven to work well: the jabra eargels and the microphone that is integrated into the chord. By integrating the microphone in the chord, it is out of the way. The eargels are very comfortable and the earbud itself provides good quality sound without the threat of being easily pulled out like other models which are just jammed into the ear. Additionally, the microphone is not attached directly to the earpiece. It hangs from the chord without adding any weight that can contribute to ear fatigue. The only other model that might rival this product as far as comfort goes is the type of headset that wraps around the ear. The con of that type of headset is that it's not as easily placed in the ear as this product. In conclusion, a wonderfully engineered product. Get one before they run out!
Product features:
Increased hands-free safety
Economical and easy to install
Proven noise-canceling technology
Increased comfort
Compatible with phones containing a 2.5-millimeter jack

Kyocera KX414 Phone (Verizon Wireless)
My first cell phone

I've had the KX414 with Verizon service for a few weeks. I don't have a lot of experience with other cells but felt someone would like another review.

Negatives: I feel the earpiece is the weakest part of the phone. You have to push it to your ear in a crowded and noisey place. Turn the sound up and it pierces your ear. No problem in a quiet location, however.
The buttons delay once in a while. Don't know why; guess the microchip is working on something else when you want the next menu. Not enough to be irritating but I think Kyocera can do better.
Styling is drab. Don't get this phone if your looking to impress friends.

Positives: Phone was free with Verizon service. That's the right price.
Never had a problem with anyone saying they can't hear me.
Slips into pockets easily.
The buttons are a good size. I passed over about one third of the phones I looked at because the buttons were tiny.

Verizon service: The only dead zone I've experienced so far is in my house which is a real bummer. On the road, however, I usually get a good signal.

Product features:
Customize and personalize.
Brilliant, 5-line, 65K TFT color display
Voice-activated dialing
15 ring tones and vibrate alert
Contact cartoon alert for incoming calls

n-gage qd?this system sucks !!!!!!!!

I just got my N-Gage QD and I love it already.

It's small and powerful smart phone phone based on Symbian and Series 60 interface - check out and - so it's more like a small computer and there's a huge library of software available, even gameboy emulators.

As a portable game console, the best feature is the on-line multiplayer, it connects to the internet and uses the N-Gage Arena - as a portal for gamers all over the world: post your scores, beat your friends, earn a reputation.... games to look out: Pocket Kindom, Pathway to Glory, the One, Requiem of Hell, X-Men Legends...

As a PDA it's good enough: the contacts (and their pictures) got copied and synchronized from my Power Mac using iSync and also all the appointments got into the calendar. I love seeing the picture of my wife when she's calling me...

I still carry my ipod mini and my canon sd10 camera, but with the N-Gage QD I have a phone + pda and really cool on-line games !

Sony Ericsson T616 Phone - Next Generation (AT&T)

I got this phone because it has Bluetooth and is compatible with iSync (the Mac OSX synchronizing software.) I wanted to have my calendar on my phone - the rest was gravy. So I plugged in my Bluetooth adapter, clicked on one control panel, it saw my phone and added it. I opened iSync, it saw my phone, I clicked on "Sync" and in less than 5 minutes TOTAL, with NO software to download/install, my calendar and contacts were on my phone. Done. No hassle. I love it! That's how technology should work!
And, for the rest - I find it intuitive to use, nice and small, and it's fun to have the camera. That was all gravy but it's good gravy!
