No wonder I'm seing people here always complain about AT&T, Veriozon, Sprint, and Nexttel customer services.
Yes, I know, they are all suck!
And the reson for that is very simple: those are all carriers that belong to the USA corporations! T-Mobile is the only one that belongs to German corporation and that is why according to the yearly national reviews it has the best : Customer service, Sound Qality, and of Course the most straight forward and low plan rates.
In addition, excellent Samsung and Nokia phones, and the cheapest phones as well. People can argue about many stupid things, but no one will argue that GERMANS are THE BEST!

The moment I set eyes on the folding design of this phone with the full keyboard I knew I had to have it. This is great if you do a lot of text messaging, and those of you who do will know how FRUSTRATING it is hitting a key 3 times to select the letter you want. You may find though that once this phone is in a standard case you may not put in the time and effort to take it out of it's case and then unfold it to text message anyway. This phone has a lot of good features and it is like a mini organizer. With the phone book you add a name and it then allows you to store a home, work and cell number for each person. Great - but unfortunately, when adding a new contact it assumes it's a home number and you have to change it afterwards - which is a pain. Too bad you can't select type when entering. The thing I really HATE about this phone is the volume - it is really soft compared to the other phones I have had. It is easier for me to hear when putting the phone on Speaker, unfortunately this naturally results in the other person hearing everything in the background. (btw, I recently went to an audiologist and my hearing is fine!) For this reason, unless you are really into text messaging, get something else. Cingular also sells this phone, if you are going to get it, stick with AT&T. Cingular are awful!

Support for concatenated (long) SMS, MMS, POP and IMAP email, and instant messaging

PROS: Slim, Good sound quality. Few dropped calls.
CONS: It cost me $75 and died after 14 months.
For some reason, it'd take hours to be notified of voice messages received while it was off. This was very inconvenient. The picture quality was grainy and not as good as my brother's free Samsung, which is still working and is a month older than mine. The OS often crashed when using Tzones. Anyways, I wish I'd gotten the free Samsung.

I didn't believe the reviews for this product, and was seduced by the price. Yes, it is unbelievable. However, there is a reason this product is so heavily discounted. The phone can't even perform the basic functions. I am now on my fourth phone, and each of them have had similar problems...1. Phone freezes during a call, when answering a call. Which means you can't end the call without taking the battery out.2. My latest phone has now stopped connecting to the network, and so is completely useless. Be advised, Amazon will not exchange this phone for another one. You will be stuck with a phone that does not work. I am being forced to purchase a new phone on ebay just to use my service with T-Mobile.

I was very excited to get this phone; it's small, has excellent reception, activated with no problem. Then I started taking pictures with it, and was even more excited. The photo quality is the best I've seen on a camera phone (but it's still a camera PHONE, so don't expect this to replace your digital camera.) The camera has a "zoom" that is really only two options: close or far. But stiil, better than no option. You can change the picture settings from color, sepia, or b&w, which gives your photos more of an artistic edge. You can also choose the resolution of your pics to save space on the phone or get better photos. After snapping like 10 pics of my cats, I wanted to see how they looked on a larger computer screen, so I opened up the manual and tried to figure out how to send the photos to my computer via the IR port. After several hours of searchning the manual, AT&T's website, and online forums, I found out that the ONLY way to get the photos off this phone is to send a photo message, which will cost you $0.40 per message. Why would they make a camera phone where you can't get your pics?? If you don't mind paying exorbitant fees to have your photos emailed to you, then this is the phone for you. But if you just want to be able to send your photos for free to your computer, you're out of luck. LG claims the phone is too new, and they haven't developed any software to send photos yet. They also claim to have a cable comming soon that will be able to directly send photos to your computer. So, if you have to have this phone for taking pictures, I recommend waiting until those things really become available.

Likes: Nice screen resolution, sd card, good camera, nice looking phone.
Dislikes: Battery life is HORRIBLE, I'm lucky to go a day without charging!! Volume for ringer and for ear piece is low, very hard to hear, especially in public. Menu seems almost ancient. The flip phone is not even an "active" flip phone. Phone is kinda bulky.
All in all the phone is nice looking but once you break it down to a functioning phone in my opinion it isn't very good. I would suggest putting the money towards the purchase of a nice digital camera and just purchase a good working phone.

dnodelius,
FYI:1. To enter a pause: hold "7"
2. The voice issue you described has nothing to do with the phone itself but with the carrier (T-Mobile).
You can switch off the text message notification by calling your voicemail and change your settings.
3. No problem with Bluetooth connectivity with my T610 bought through Amazon. Mine has Firmware R1S001 and built 03W43 fyi. Some mentioned RF issues, personally I am really happy with my T610. I tested it in NY, NJ and South FL and I got better reception and sound quality than with my Nokia 6610.I recommend this mobile.
Hard to resist the price too ;-)
