Motorola V600 Phone - Next Generation (AT&T)
I love my Motorola V600!!!

I just got this phone after having a Nokia and I already love it! The reception is great! My other phone would go out in certain areas, and this phone does not. The dial keys are large enough to use and still stay small. One other great feature is to turn on vibrate, it's a matter of turning the volume down on one button. I highly recommend this phone!
Product features:
Use the colorful customizable external display to identify specific calling groups and events.

Integrated Bluetooth for wireless data connectivity, quad band operation allows use on GSM networks worldwide
5MB internal memory to support downloadable applications, MP3 ringtones, wallpapers, and photo storage
Handset comes with mono earbud, mid-rate charger, and battery

Motorola i730 Phone (Nextel)
Decent phone considering the lack of reason to be better

I switched to Nextel from Sprint about a year ago and purchased this phone as it was the best one offered. The phone for Nextel is nice, however the newer phones seem better, however if this phone was on any other service it would be very sub-par and would never sell. It is because Motorola has a monopoly on Nextel phones that they are not pushed to do any better.

Pros:
-Good java execution.
-Good screen brightness and color.
-I enjoy the way the contacts allow you to easily flip between multiple numbers for one person
-Nice flexibility for the shortcuts
-Nice speaker phone
-can place calls without even opening the phone

Cons:
-Huge phone by todays standards. No real need in the phone being that large
-Small screen compared with most of todays phones
-Must go online for text messaging
-Metal piece covering ear speaker falls off constantly
-Poor reception inside any building and around tall structures
-From time to time the phone will randomly shut itself off. It goes through stages though, for a week or so it will shut itself off almost every hour, then it will not do it again for several months.

Overall not so great of a phone, however it is not like Motorola really has any push to make phones much better. Now that Nextel has merged with Sprint I'll be back on Sprint again and I will just go back to Samsung phones which I love this summer when the deal is complete.
Product features:
The i730 comes with a new 65k color display with enhanced clarity that allows you to customize your screen with downloadable wallpapers, adjustable color palettes, and choice of three font sizes
Hands-free cellular conversations are always available with the built-in speakerphone
Set your phone and instantly connect to the last Direct Connect call or an assigned contact by pressing the PTT button from the main idle screen
Comes with a powerful datebook that allows you to book meetings, plan events, and set alarms that will automatically turn-on the phone if needed
Phone can store up to 600 contact entries - Store up to seven numbers for a single name

Best Bluetooth Headset I've Ever Used

I have a Sony Ericsson cell phone and The M3000 works GREAT with it. I've had the piece for about 5 months now and I've never encountered the problems that I've encountered with previous bluetooth headsets.

The M3000 doesn't drop calls (or sends the call back to the phone) at random, it doesn't run out of battery life too soon (the battery on the M3000 actually lasts longer than the battery on my cell phone), and it is more comfortable than most headsets I've worn.

Some people complain about the fit of the earpiece, but I was surprised at how well it stays put and how I barely notice that it is there. Great reception too boot.
There are some issues with reception at a distance from my phone when I'm at home (I'm pretty sure that my wireless network is aggrivating the signal), but it is not that bad.

For the price Amazon is selling it for...there is no comparison.

Oh yea, I dropped it on the concrete the other day, expecting the worst, it didn't affect funtionality one bit. AND a big plus is that you can change the battery if it starts to lose the ability to hold a charge. The M3000 will last as long as you can manage to not lose it.
Product features:
Plantronics Wireless Headset
Crystal clear conversations with adjustable volume and mute control
Bluetooth compatible with devices supporting headset or hands-free profile
Provides up to 8 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time
Stylish comfortable design; Consumer replaceable battery

Great device - mediocre phone

When it comes to owning gadgets, this baby is a must. It can do so much - the camera is fun, the organizer is pretty good, the color screen is excellent, bluetooth has show-off swagger and connectivity and the games are a lot of fun. The downside, this is certainly not a great phone. Its signal reception is mediocre and it suffers from a weird combination: the user of the phone comes through extremely loud on the other side, while the T610 user can barely hear what the other person is saying. This makes you talk even louder, thinking you are not heard and you get the picture. Being so small, the phone also requires you to either put it close to your ear or close to your mouth. In summary - in every non-phone activity this is a superb device, but as a phone it is middling.

Large 128x160 pixel 65.000 color screen
MMS for composing messages using images, sounds and text
Supports Java and Mophun platforms for the widest range of mobile games and applications
Supports Bluetooth, infrared and cable for PC synchronization
With a built-in 319 x 288 pixel camera and QuickShare software

Superb Phone on a Great Network

I recently got a V600 phone as an upgrade of my V300 phone, both of which I use on the T-Mobile network. I am really delighted.

The main problem I had with the V300 was limited earpiece volume which made it hard to hear a call in a noisy enviroment. The V600 is much better in that department. Given the extremely long battery life in use and on standby, the clear menu, the unbelievable reception, the briliant color screen, and Bluetooth, the V600 is a terrific phone.

I have been a Motorola man ever since I first got a mobile phone 10 years ago and on 4 carriers (Verizon, Nextel, T-Mobile, and, for a week, Cingular) and I can tell you that this series (300,400,600) is the best yet. However, the carrier is key: I tried a V600 on Cingular and it did not work anywhere near as well as it did on T-Mobile. If the network is mediocre, at best, like Cingular and AT&T, even the best phone does not perform as well as it can on a good one like T-Mobile. Obviously, I am a T-Mobile fan for a number of reasons and the V600 is the best way to take advantage of what that network has to offer. I know that T-Mobile is still limited geographically in the US to major cities, but it is expanding and, importantly, can be used all over the world.

Good phone with a couple minor negatives

I just got my VGA1000 a couple of weeks ago, and I love it. I play with it constantly. I'm always taking pictures and uploading them to the internet where you make a photo album with captions and all, its really fun. The camera takes good pictures in high quality mode. Wireless web is fast and simple. The screen is big, bright, and clear. It will be a while before get rid of this phone. A few minor gripes include the battery, it gets really hot if you use the phone for more than about 30 min. The flash on the camera tends to just screw up the picture instead of helping it out. Also, the camera is very sensitive, you must hold the phone completely still for the clearest picture. These are only minor complaints though, the good far outweighs the bad. There is currently a good deal on this phone too, so if you're in the market don't pass this phone up.

Horrible Phone......Great Camera

Too bad Moto didn't make the V300 a dedicated camera, because that's about where the good part ends. Oh, it has the nice colors, ring tones and all the other warm fuzzies.

Problem is, I can't hear the person on the other end, nor can they hear me. It's like talking into two cans with a string. Putting my ear to the phone, the volume is way too low. Put the earphone in, the volume is too high and fuzzy. Turn the volume down, and I can't hear again. Don't get me started on the Speaker phone. It's basically like a CB radio with bad reception.

Just as bad is the dropped calls. It drops calls where my Samsung S105 NEVER did. It even drops calls outside.

Defective phone? Nope. I got one for my wife too. Her's does the same thing.

If you want neat and cool, this is a great unit. If you actually want to have conversations that you can hear, and that don't unexpectedly end all the time, run as fast as you can AWAY from this dog! This was my first and last Motorola. I will NEVER buy another one.
Product features:
Tri-band GSM capability
Large color display features 65,000 colors
Built-in VGA camera with zoom
Supports text messaging and wireless Internet (WAP 2.0)

Dig it

This is a cool freakin device. I had the original sidekick color. This one is way better. The photos aren't high quality but it's an amusing feature. My biggest prob is that yahoo's servers are down a lot and IMing is only sporadically available. I could not ever have a regular cell phone after this toy. The organizer functions are very easy to use. Web surfing on the go rocks. I can always find something to do with the city guides on the net. Bout time someone came up with this. If you could play MP3s on this it would rock even harder.
Product features:
Real web browsing
Built-in camera with flash
Built-in organizer with PC synchronization
Photo caller ID
AOL Instant Messenger, text messaging, 6 MB email account
