This is a great phone.
Especially since I got two of them for $50 total.
The screen is great. Yeah, the camera isn't all that great, but the pictures I sent to my computer looked fine. I didn't pay to get a camera that happens to be a cell phone, I paid to have a cell phone that happens to have a camera. I am happy.
I got the data cable from overseas from a site in the UK and if anyone is looking for a camera to hook to their laptops, guess what. . .this is it. The new Edge 3G data technology that this phone has is disgusting. I am getting broadband speeds in my car with my laptop.
I think that the screen is beautiful myself. 85,000 colors and a pretty sharp resolution is all I see. I have downloaded some pictures online to use as the wallpaper in my phone and they look pretty sharp to me.
The only con I can find is that because the faceplate can be changed, some dust can get into the little screen on the outside and that is kinda annoying to me. Personally, I like the size of the phone since it feels like a phone. I hate it when phones are so small that you are holding them with your fingertips. That's how they fall. LOL But for its size, how can you really complain? it weighs just over three ounces!
Get this phone. It has all the features of many $500 an up phones but without the $500 and up part.

While this phone worked well for the first couple months I owned it, I now have problems with service. I rarely have full service where my old sprint phone never had a problem. I am also really annoyed that the 2-way radio feature will sometimes malfunction and my phone also randomly shuts off.

I had one of these phones from T-Mobile for a few months, and was pleased with it for the most part. The audio quality and signal strength were very good in my experience. Its battery life was very good. It just worked very well as a basic cellular phone, and served me well... except for the occasions when it malfunctioned for no apparent reason. Sometimes, when I would try to use the Phonebook or Voice Dial features, or to access my Recent Calls, the phone would just tell me to "Please Wait" forever. T-Mobile and Motorola tried to help me troubleshoot the problem to no avail. I had to send it in for repair. It appears to be a software problem, rather than a problem with the phone itself.

This is the 4th phone from Cingular. The first 3 V600's were dropping calls every 18-21 minutes. Defect in the phones. They were nice to replace it with a V551. It too is dropping calls. The non-ability to use voice dial is a crime. The videos aren't worth anything..just a novelty. When the phone hangs on to calls, the voice quality is good, the features are fine, and the bluetooth is priceless. While the dropped calls may be a motorola thing, I've never experienced so many dropped calls (in a major metro area) on the other carriers I've had. They have good customer service. My suggestion is to get a Sony-Ericsson or to use another carrier altogether.

...which I don't. This gizmo is great! I previously used a Samsung i330, which feels like the size and weight of a toaster compared to the Audiovox. It's the perfect size, not like the bulky Treo. This phone is awesome and syncs w/Outlook beautifully. MP3 player, expandable storage, camera (including video), voice recognition (including launching apps), speakerphone, bluetooth, voice recorder, and I barely notice it in my pocket. Battery life is great and the screen is bright and beautiful. I love this phone so much I haven't even taken the screen protector off yet.

World's smallest Windows Mobile Smartphone
Call, email, text message or instant message - all from one integrated phone

I have 2 VM phones and my neighbor has 1. Shortly after the 1 year warranty expired they began to have problems. These were used for occasional and emergency purposes. When we contacted Virgin Mobile they said there was NOTHING they could do except sell us NEW phones at full price. So I spent over $200 in phones only to find out they are throw aways after 13 to 14 months. Virgin Mobile will make alot of money off the 1.75 million consumers that will have to replace their phones. So if your phone breaks don't expect any help from VM and if you have any prepaid minutes they become part of Virgin Mobile's profits. In other words you just donated your $$$$ to them.
Let the buyer beware when you do business with Virgin Mobile. Expect to throw away the phone in just over a year. Shame on VM as they are targeting the young of this country who won't have any way to protect themselves fom this type of scam.
Product features:
No prepaid minutes included. Comes with battery and charger
Seven changeable backlight display colors to match your mood
External Caller ID Display: know who's calling without opening your phone
2-way text messaging, 1-touch and voice dialing
Charger included for powering up

Overall, I'm very happy with this phone. It's small and lightweight, easy to use, and the color screen is very vibrant. There are a couple of things I don't like, and the biggest thing is the fact that it takes about a minute after the phone is turned on for the phone book to initialize, which means you can't access your phone book AT ALL during that time. Also, it would be nice if the phone came in colors other than blue. I ordered a pink faceplaye off of e-bay, but it looks like it's going to be a real pain to install it.
Product features:

Supports downloading personalization features Megatones and Wallpapers

What a terrific phone Motorola developed!!!! Its heads and shoulders above NOK, Samsung, sony/ericy etc. I really like my T-Mobile service, however, the only downside is the price for the phone. My wife was able to get one much cheaper through a different service we both do not like as much as T-mobile. Take amazons offer and you will be happy with this phone, or wait and see if it will be free a little later, which is what im doing since i have the service already......

After much anticipation I purchased my trio 600 about three months ago. Being a palm user for many years I found it very intuitive and well thought out. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. Now I'm having doubts and feel compelled to warn those considering this device. A few weeks ago, while out of town with only my trio, the thing started freezing up. The screen would become stuck in one position, nothing would work. All keys are dead with the screen light on. Even pressing the reset button would only bring me right back to the same problem. I called tech support ( not the can do attitude I'd hoped for) after much hold time and way to many questions having nothing to do with getting me back in touch with clients, I was walked through performing a factory reset. While having no phone numbers and not a clue as to my schedule I was delighted to know I could start returning business calls. Then it froze again (keep in mind that you cant remove the battery to reset) this time out of frustration and time of day I sat the thing down and said enough for today. After about an hour, without being touched it started working again.Round two with tech support. This time I was informed the problem must be a hardware problem and would have to be replaced. For reasons unknown to me this replacement process would take at least 8 days. In the meantime I went to Cingular and explained my problems. I have to say they were pretty great about, loaned me an antiquated work horse of a phone, one that never fails NOKIA and I tried to forget about the hours I've now lost. Now the problem that motivates me to write this at 11:00 pm on a work night. I received the replacement phone this afternoon. Charged it, synchronized it, and gave it a try. The new problem is in the speaker, not the speakerphone, but the earpiece. It sounds like a speaker when the paper has been ripped. I'm now wondering, is this a phone someone else has already returned? Has this device been released prematurely, leaving us gadget nuts begging for the simplicity and dependability of an old NOKIA?
I'll make the call in the morning to see what Handspring has to say.To those considering this phone, I'd say wait a while, and at very least buy it only from a retailer willing to replace it on site. The jury's out!
