Samsung E315 Phone (T-Mobile)
I brought the Samsung e315 after a Motorola V300 ...

I had a motorola v300 while I still miss that phone I happen to like the e315. I brought this phone about 4 months ago and I am still liking it. Although I see that they are giving it away - that was not the case for me :( Anyway, let me first say that this phone takes VERY good pictures, just like a digital camera would. You can also take pictures of yourself but closing down the flip and pressing the camera button. I LOVED that. You have caller ID pictures that are displayed externally when somone calls if you choose to do so. You can also record like 10-15 second video clips. I also like that feature. I don't get any dropped calls, and I get pretty good reception.

The cons to this phone. You cannot individually assign ringtones - I just found this out today. I didn't like the ringtones that came with the phone and I WISH that this phone was a speakerphone. Other than that I like my phone and don't see myself getting a new one anytime soon!

Not as good as it seems

When I first got this phone, I thought "Hey, this is really cool. You can text message quicker, surf the web, get email, and even IM friends." But as months went by I realized that it wasnt all that I thought it would be. Now it may be the actual sidekick or the T-Mobile service. But whatever it is, it's not good. I can have reception one minute and then if I turn a different direction or just simply place the phone down on the table, I see the dreaded "X" over my signal bar or "NO SERVICE AVAILABLE." I think that if this phone were under any other service provided, it would be GREAT!! So if you're thinking about getting this, please THINK, and dont be like me and get it because it looked cool. Do your research and read the other reviews about it, whether they be good or bad. Hope you found this useful.
Product features:
Important note: It's required that you add the Sidekick Unlimited Data option to your service plan before you check out.
To add the required option, you must add the Sidekick and a service plan, and then on the Accessories page, you need to select the Sidekick Unlimited Data option located under Service Options (this option is located on Step 3 in the checkout process)
The T-Mobile Sidekick is the ultimate communication device
A large color screen that flips open to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard makes for quick and easy communication
Stay connected with all your friends with unlimited e-mail, AOL Instant Messenger, Internet browsing, text messaging and mobile snapshots

Don't buy -- terrible sound quality.

I downgraded my initial review to two stars due to the terrible sound quality on the phone. I exchanged it for an LG L1400 and all my problems with sound went away.

The good:
- really small and light
- nice displays
- Camera & photo caller id feature

The bad:
- Terrible sound quality -- the speaker is loud, but it is buzzy and distorted
- poor reception -- I find I miss calls frequently because the phone does not ring.
- the phone makes a 'snapshot' sound when it takes a picture. I understand that this is required in some countries, but it would have been nice to be able to turn it off.
- T9 is not the default for text input (why??!) and I don't think I can change that.
Product features:
Ultralight VGA camera phone with dual-color displays.
Java Capable, 65K color TFT LCD Screen
40-chord polyphonic ringtone compatible
VGA Camera takes photos at 640x480 resolution
Includes phone and travel charger

Kick A$$ Phone

The Kyocera Slider is the best phone that I have ever gotten in my life. The reception is absolutely wonderful, and I love having a unique phone that looks nothing like anybody elses. The polyphonic ringtones are absolutely terrific, and I love when people stare in amazment when I just slide the face of the phone to answer an incoming call. Everywhere I go, people always say, "Can I see your phone?" And I love it. Please, buy this phone, for you, for your kids, for anybody. For me, it made the best gift I ever got.

Great Phone

When the i95 came out, i thought it was amazing. I thought it was durable and easy to use. Then i got the i730 and I am very happy with it. A couple of my favorite features is that it's alot thinner and half of the size of the i95. The speaker in the front of the phone lights up for an incoming call. It has very precise color. The only problem i had when i first used it was the bottons are close when choosing things from the menu or the scroll up. I got used to it, in like 3 days. Now, i am loving this phone. By far the best phone that Nextel has come out with. I heard they are getting one w/ a camera soon but i dont think i want to change, this phone is perfect!!!
Product features:
The i730 comes with a new 65k color display with enhanced clarity that allows you to customize your screen with downloadable wallpapers, adjustable color palettes, and choice of three font sizes

HAPPY VIRGIN!

I have had my slider for about 8months and I love it!! I use most all features and the signal is unbeatable! I work in a bar at night where things get very loud-It's great to have the LCD face light up when it rings so I can see it-the ring volume is low, and I have missed some calls when using the vib-ring. The keys r a bit small, but the phone is great-you can take it anywhere and everyone loves the slick slide motion!!

Motorola i-90 cell phone

I really want to like this phone but honestly, I hate it. Our company has about 100 people using this phone and I think most of them hate it too. Why?- its a brick pt I. Probably durable but its uncomfortable in your pocket. At 1.1 inches thick, you could beat someone with it.
- unintuitive interface. The phone has tons of features with lots of menus. Unfortunately, it feels like you have to slug through all of them to do anything. Saving a number takes way too many keystrokes. Figuring out how to change the ring took forever
- its a brick pt II. The phone is so big you need to wear it on your belt. And frankly, it looks dorky.
- poor battery life. My Nokia I used to charge every 3 days. The i90c I have to charge every day.
- sound/connection quality. While I do seem to get better than average quality with the Nextel service, I frequently need to dial calls twice to connect. I also get this strange echo pretty often as well.I really want to like this phone. It has great features, a nice back lit display, a good color scheme and its web enabled. However, I just don't. Just about everything about it is slightly harder to use than it should be and manages to annoy me constantly.
Product features:
Voice-activated dialing
Speakerphone function for hands-free calling
Includes Java-powered applications
Wireless web enabled
Includes 750mAh lithium-ion battery, travel charger and holster belt clip

Best PDA Phone Combo

I've been a hardcore Palm user for years, owning 3 palm devices before the Samsung. I've had it now for 3 months. Very nice device in every respect. I don't need a camera or an MP3 player in my phone. I'll pass on the Treo-style thumb board (I'm graffiti literate). The phone has been very stable, and have not had digitizer problems at all. Here are some things I wish it had it does not. An MMC slot (but I have yet to need it), but can see I might. Also, the graffiti area is plastic and not hard plastic. I'm a little worried it might not be as durable as the glass areas on my previous palms. While expensive, well worth it.
Product features:
This tri-mode CDMA phone from Samsung is one of Sprint PCS's flagship 3G phones
Large color display supports 4,096 colors (128x160 pixels)
Comes with personal calendar, date book, address book, to-do, and HotSync
Supports wireless Internet (WAP 2.0) and text messaging
Stylish phone features a graphical menu and polyphonic ringtones

Best phone I ever had

I have been waiting for an integrated solution to my PDA and phone and jumped at this phone. I adore the phone - agree with all the raves regarding ease of use regarding syncing with PC, great speakerphone, great battery life et al, nice screen layout, ease of use - yadda yadda yadda. It is a great phone. However, I live in the Redmond, WA area - corporate HQ for ATTWS and I cannot get ANY service in some busy metro areas around Redmond and the greater Seattle area. The service is horrible. I would have to say 90% of my calls are dropped. I am probably returning the phone for this reason only. A basic cell phone need is to call for help when you are stuck! Because this phone is ONLY SINGLE BAND - (mine is not dual nor tri band as has been mentioned) if you cannot get the 1900 Mhz GSM - then you are doomed to find a pay phone! ATT GSM network is just not ready for prime time. I would not recommend using this service.
Product features:
The Motorola MPx200 Smartphone does it all by combining all the functionality you need into a single, pocket-size package
Windows Mobile software brings the familiar Windows experience to the palm of your hand
You can synchronize everything with your desktop PC -- automatically -- with a USB connection, or over the air
Functionality allows you to download music, games, video clips, and ring tones
Watch videos, news clips, and film trailers anywhere you go

Pre-Paid Emergency

This was my 2nd phone. The first one I had a plan on which didn't work out because I would go waaaay over my minutes. Pre-Paid is good just for having a phone and for emergencies that's about it. If you talk more than 30 minutes a day on a cell phone then pre-paid isn't for you. I mainly just text if I can. While I'm not sure of the cent's per minute heres what I do know:
10 Cents a TEXT, incoming text is free
$15 refill card - last about 2 weeks
$25 refill card - last about a month
$50 refill card - last about 2 months
$100 refill card - last about 2 months
Gold Rewards: After you spend a certain amount on refill cards ($250 I think) total, it doubles the amount purchased so if you buy a $15 refill card it will be worth $30 (too bad the expiration doesn't double :(
Once you pass the expiration they don't rollover so what you do is buy another refill card the day before it expires so that whatever's left will rollover.
CUSTOMIZATION (The following is about making your phone YOURS):
Customizing features SUCK on this phone. T-Mobile doesn't allow any customization features. Let's see, you can download ringtones...WOW...I tried downloading a new logo (a logo is your service provider, so this would say "T-Mobile") and it would not work. I bought this thing called the logo manager where it lets you customize the Logo and Startup Logo ("Welcome to T-Mobile") and none of it works. The only thing that I can customize is the screensaver. I can make my own. But YOU CANNOT DOWNLOAD SCREENSAVERS. You either buy the logo manager or you use the one's the phone has. As for looks though, I have 9 covers for it, you can buy flip covers for it if you know where to go. Backlighting is green (like most LCD nokia's) but im getting those mod'ed for bright white one's, I've also bought a light up keypad and light up battery. I've spent way too much on this phone so that's preety much the only reason why im keeping it. Again...
Only buy for emergencies your 10 year old kid who just wants a cell phone
Your really broke/have really bad credit and Cell phone companies don't trust you with a plan
If your teenager already screwed up his plan
Product features:
Phone comes with a $15.00 airtime refill card, hands-free headset, battery, and charger
Changeable faceplate
Voice-activated dialing
Up to 160 minutes' digital talk time and 7.5 days' digital standby time
Includes vibrating ring and differential ring
