T-Mobile Color Sidekick Phone (T-Mobile)
I LOVE the Sidekick!

I had an AT&T pocketnet phone for 3 years when it sadly went dark because AT&T decided to kill the service in place of their new GSM. This began my hunt for a replacement. My use was solely Internet access, I don't need no stinking phone, I want stock quotes, trade confirmations, account alerts and such. Of course when you go to almost any of the cell phone stores the sales people have no idea what the wireless web is about or what phones do what, not to mention, I never found a working demo phone. The best deal I found for wireless access was T-mobile with unlimited access for $30. T-mobile backs it up with a 14-day satisfaction guarantee, so with little risk I went for it. It took a couple days to get the net up and running and it needs a strong signal. Actually propping it up on things is better than hand holding it as your hands can block some signal. But with a signal this baby can go just about anywhere on the web. It downloads pics from yahoo, cnbc and such which are surprisingly sharp. And you can even view stock charts although the details are small and fine, some may have trouble seeing the finer details. The download speed is comparable to a 28-56k dialup. And emails are a snap to receive and send. You can have it set up to receive almost any pop3 email service. Now I get my emails all day long and I don't have to wait till I get home.I've had it a week now and I'd never go back to the old pocketnet. The battery is not removable so you can't carry a spare but I have found it to generally last 2 days per charge if I turn it off at night. I strongly recommend this unit, Danger has a great product here and T-mobile has impressed me with good customer service and reception!

Great Phone, Sprint Bad Service

The Good: Phone and PDA all in one, easy sync to MS Outlook, built in software all solid. Large display and quite clear/bright. Lots of software. Takes memory card. Supposely SDIO compatible but I hear mixed comments on this. The Bad: Keypad is a bit small. Phone is a bit heavier than the normal cell so you need to hold with both hands. Menus could be more intutive- I've spent hours trying to figure it out. Sometimes the touchscreen does not do anything when I nagivate with the stylus. Camera pics are not the greatest but not a big deal. I could never figure how to turn off the screen when talking on the phone. However I am foregoing all of these "minor" problems because I still like the phone. One thing I am afraid to drop it. Buy the phone insurance. The Ugly: Sprint. I am returning the phone because my callers say that the phone reception goes in and out. Now I am in the process of calling Sprint. To my dismay I've been on hold for 25 minutes and they want to charge me for a full months of service though I had the phone for 1 week. Sprint has me on hold because I want to speak to a supervisor. I did not get a "free" phone. I paid $450 for the Treo + $100 a month for service. I am trying to figure out why I am unjustly paying for service that I cannot use. Well if this does not go well then a letter to the CEO of Sprint and to the Better Business Bureau would be my next step.Summary: I'm going back to stick with AT&T Digital One Rate. My old TDMA phone is looking better every passing moment. I'm going to wait 6 months for the next batch. Well the Sprint supervisor finally came back on. I am being charged $162.53 for the activation minus $50.00 for my displeasure. What a rip.

For some it's good, for most it's stressful

I bought Sidekick two weeks ago and was very dissapointed by its signal reception provided by T-Mobile.
Great organizer, horrible bulky phone. I would not recommend this device for an everyday-use.I ended up canceling my subscription to T-Mobile and returned the device. No more stress.

Samsung A670 Phone (Verizon Wireless)
good overall

What is important to me in a phone is ease of operation and how long it holds charge in the battery. The battery consumption with this phone is reasonable and I normally put it on charge every 4 days. This is not bad for a phone with color screen and lit up buttons. It is easy to turn off the sound or change the ring to vibration and vice versa. There are quick buttons for that. The front display shows all the information you need without a need to open up the phone. The size is smaller than average phones. I don't care very much about the camera, but I used it a few times and the picture quality is good for a camera phone. I think this phone is in general a good choice.

I just have one personal objection to it. I normally use the calendar heavily to remind me and organize me about what I have to do. The organizer in this phone is ok but you can set notifications for at most 1 hour ahead which is normally late. I need to be reminded a day or sometimes a week in advance. This is the only thing that bothers me about this phone.

It's pretty good

Well worth [the $$]...Pro - Voice dialing is good (though # of numbers is limited), backlighting is cool, volume is loud (enough), mini antenna, small, price, looks cool, does not heat up muchCon - Somewhat slow, screen touches your cheek when you talk, ring tones and wall paper cost $.99 w/ T-mobile, camera ABSOLUTELY STINKS... do not buy this phone for the cameraI would suggest it......

Great phone, even better offer on amazon!

The price was right(-100.00!!), the phone is easy to use, and the number transfer from at&t was painless, although not very quick(it took a week). Reception and sound quality have been good. The only issues I have with the phone so far are:
1. The placement of the "back" button. It is to the left of the joystick, where as every other phone I have owned it has been to the right.
2. The T-Mobile button on the right hand side needs to be able to be changed to do something else.
3. The transfer of contacts from Outlook was easy, although it wasn't quick via IR.
Product features:
Large 128x160 pixel 65.000 color screen
MMS for composing messages using images, sounds and text
Supports Java and Mophun platforms for the widest range of mobile games and applications
Supports Bluetooth, infrared and cable for PC synchronization
With a built-in 319 x 288 pixel camera and QuickShare software

Nokia Earbud Headset for Nokia 3650, 8200, 8800 and 3300 Series Phones
Awesome!

I bought this earbud as an upgrade to the earbud which came with my AT&T,Nokia 8260. I also bought the Jabra earbud - to compare both. This earbud works quite well. Compared to the Jabra the sound quality going into as well as coming out of this earbud is a little less clear. However, the major advantage of this earbud is that it doesn't pick up as much annoying wind noise or any of that rustling clothes noise. This earbud is sensitive enough but, not to sensitive to be obnoxious. I kept this earbud - It works well enough and is comfortable enough. The other though it comes with an assortment of ear "gels",is just to complicated and surprisingly uncomfortable for it own good.
Product features:
Hands-free safety
Simple to use
Proven noise-cancelling technology
Increased comfort
Compatible with Nokia 3650, 8200, 8800 and 3300 Series Phones

Root canal is more fun

Wow - hours of frustration trying to get Amazon, AT&T and Cingular to work together! The 1st Blackberry 7280 I received from Amazon was defective - it kept typing Q & A (ironic, isn't it?) whenever I was trying to compose email, dial phone numbers, etc. So I returned it.

The second device has been fine, although the quality of phone calls is much worse than my previous AT&T cell phone (lots of background noise and you have to align the ear speaker exactly perfectly with your ear). Email & battery are great.

But then the real fun started. Shortly after receiving the 2nd Blackberry, Cingular called me & asked if I wanted to migrate to Cingular at no cost. Since I'll probably have to migrate eventually because of the merger, I agreed. Then I found out that to complete the migration, I cannot use my new device, I will have to buy a Cingular device! After talking to about 20 people at Cingular (50% of whom didn't know, and 50% of whom said I would need to purchase a new Blackberry), and talking to AT&T (customer support and retail store), I'm giving up. I have to make another return and reprogram another device. Wish the companies would get together on customer service & the migration.
Product features:
The BlackBerry 7280 Wireless Handheld is the first tri-band device in the BlackBerry series. This handheld device supports the 850, 1800 and 1900 MHz bands
The high-end BlackBerry 7280 sports a glorious high-resolution, full-color screen
High-resolution (240x160 pixel) full-color LCD display with more than 65,000 colors
You can e-mail, view your calendar, talk, and more with BlackBerry from AT&T Wireless
Enjoy the simplicity of carrying only one wireless device for all of your business and personal communication needs

Motorola RAZR V3 Phone (Cingular)
The Razr V3 is the Best!!!

I first bought the V551 by Motorola which is an excellent phone!! But I noticed everbody had the same phone, at least in my area.. I usually like to have something different.. So at first, I did buy the phone because most people didn't have it because of the Price.. The sales person at Cingular which had the V551 told me their was no difference but an Internal antenna and less weight.. I've noticed the Camera is a Hell of alot better, plus the Battery life is by far longer than the other phone...Reguardless of area, the Reception in almost crystal clear even in Roaming or long-distance....I'll admit, I did buy it at first to have something different but I'm Impressed with the features in comparison to the other phones I've owned.. If you have the $$$ buy it!!!Hope this helps!!Mike
