Sony Ericsson T610 Phone (T-Mobile)
Great phone

Pros:
1. It has all the cool features such as Java,Bluetooth,Camera, Infra red, WAP Browser.
2. Light weight
3. It has auto key lock, so although it is not clam shell design pressing keys in your pocket is not an issue
4. I can download free MIDI from web to my laptop and upload via IR to the phone. Don't have to pay for ring tones.
5. You can upload animated gifs for screen saver.
6. It is 3 band GSM. Works all over the World. (where GSM is available.)
7. I can even transfer files from my pocket pc (infrared) to the phone.
8. Operationg system is skinable . I found nice free themes and installed them on the fly.Cons:
1. Camera is joke. Quality sucks. Forget about taking pictures in not so bright areas. Camera feature is not more than a cheap toy.
2. Bluetooth file transfer sometimes crashes the operating system. I had to remove the battery to reset the system.
3. It is complicated to use. Not for people who only want a simple phone. I wouldn't recommend this to my GrandmaConclusion:
If it breaks, I will buy the sameone again.

PCS Phone Sanyo SCP-8100 (Sprint)
Not all its cracked up to be--very misleading

I've had my phone for over 6 months. Reception is generally good, with few dropped calls. Coverage is mediocre at best (doesnt matter which provider).

Disadvantages are: 1) handset gets really hot after phone conversations longer than 2 minutes
2) Ringing volume (meaning from incoming calls) extremely LOW even at highest volume setting. I mean you can hear the person you're speaking with loud and clear, but that's only IF you can hear the phone ring in order to answer it. I have missed so many calls because I can't hear the phone ringing!!!
3) Downloaded games don't work: I don't know if this is the service providers fault, or the phones, but I downloaded 2 games, and was able to play them only once!
4) Backlighting of keys extremely poor, so that you have difficulty in dialling numbers in poorly lit conditions.
Product features:
Large color screen supports 65,000 colors (120x144 pixels)
Integrated digital camera with 352 x 288 pixel resolution
Phone supports voice-activated dialing and polyphonic ringtones
Supports wireless Internet and text messaging
Includes standard and extended batteries, AC charger, user documentation

Will not work on Siemans Cordless Phones!

i reqally liked this headset after trying many but was not happy when, after a while, I began getting scrtached and static. I tried to return my Seiman cordeless phone thinking that was it but after speaking with Seimans, found that Seiman did not recommend any Plantironic headsets for their equipment. Sadi that they were not compatable. Too bad becuase i think it is a great headset.
Product features:
Convertable to over-the-head to over-the-ear
Works with headset ready cordless phones
RF noise shield with adjustable boom
Includes 2.5mm plug
Microphone volume switch

Nokia 3650 Phone (T-Mobile)
Good phone, but buggy

I'm on my third Nokia 3650 now... the first two broke the same way, the phone turns itself off and upon restarting it the "Nokia" logo flashes and slowly fades out three times and the phone turns back off. This is actually very well documented around the internet (see nokia3650.net) and Nokia's not much of a help. There's no way to boot the phone when this happens, leaving you essentially stranded. T-Mobile is very nice about quick replacements, but for people whose cell phone is their only phone, this is a major inconvenience. On the upside, the phone (when it works) really is very cool. The camera takes half-decent pictures, the signal is very strong, the sound is great, the screen is bright and readable even outdoors, and the expandable memory is extremely convenient. The thing is definately on the large size, but I was willing to put up with that when I thought it was reliable. In general, I find the phone crashes fairly often (all 3 of them) and even randomly turns itself off from time to time (also documented). I never had trouble adapting to the round keypad, but your mileage may vary. Symbian may not be the most stable thing, but it's very fast, powerful, and user-friendly. The thing is also built like a tank, I've dropped it several times from reasonably frightening heights and it just bounces and keeps working.Downsides to this phone, besides the fact that it is buggy: The ringer volume stinks. I've tried every trick out there, boosting the MIDIs, using WAVs (sound awful), and it still doesn't kick out enough sound to make it audible. Keep it on vibrate, except that the vibrate is so loud that it's the "BZZZZZ!!" sound that always gets my attention first. I don't know what I'm going to do, as I'm a little wary of being out of a phone again. I'm test driving the T610, and if it can keep a decent signal the places I need it to, I may just settle for the smaller, hopefully more reliable, phone, even if its camera does stink.
Product features:
Wireless phone with integrated video/digital camera
3.4 MB on board storage, MultiMediaCard expansion slot
Oversized display for MP4 video playback
High-speed internet access, supports Java-based downloads
Integrated Bluetooth connectivity for data transmission to other Bluetooth devices

High Praise for the Treo 600 and SprintPCS

I have owned and operated multiple PDAs and cell phones for over a decade with several different wireless service providers. After a disappointing experience in 2003 with ATT wireless and the Tungsten-W, (a fine PDA but unable to use the phone without the plug in ear piece, and exceptionally s-l-o-w refresh time for the web browser); I upgraded to the Handspring/Sony Treo 600 with SprintPCS. I write this evaluation after several months' usage in a dozen US cities from coast to coast and Canada. The Treo 600 is an exceptionally successful blending of technologies. Clear screen displays, "normal" phone usage (ear piece optional), excellent reception, quick web access, full PDA functionality, and very competitive service pricing. A truly superior product -- at the forward edge of technology as of Q1CY04 and very highly recommended.
Product features:
Treo 600 combines a full-featured mobile phone and Palm OS organizer with wireless applications like email, text messaging, web browsing and even a digital camera
QWERTY keyboard makes entering text and accessing information fast and familiar-perfect for messaging and a must have for email
Built-in color web browser, Blazer, gives you fast access to nearly all the sites on the web-not just the ones optimized for mobile devices
Take a picture or share images with others via email-you can even attach a photo to a phone number so you can see exactly who's calling with Picture Caller ID
Because Treo 600 runs the popular Palm OS, there are thousands of applications you can download and use-like MP3 players, etc.

It has games and a calculator

The previous reviewer said i90c doesn't have a calculator or games, that's incorrect. Under "Java Apps", you can find a calculator, a small utility to help calc the tips, and a few games. I've owned this phone for over a year, the quality has been great, but it looks kinda too bulky now so I replaced it with A630.
Product features:
Voice-activated dialing
Speakerphone function for hands-free calling
Includes Java-powered applications
Wireless web enabled
Includes 750mAh lithium-ion battery, travel charger and holster belt clip

Motorola V60t Color Phone (AT&T)
A Classic!!

This phone is the gold stardard to which I compare all cell phones. It is a lot better than even other phones in the moto V60 series. The V60t is highly customizable, not foring its user to use the backgrounds provided. I make most of my calls using the recent calls list that the phone stores, and I like how I can create a button on the main screen that links directly to the recent calls menu. Plenty of call statistics with the call timers. Sound quality is excellent and the phone is the perfect size for pocket carrying. This phone is truely a utilitarian masterpiece in a world of complicated phones with too many bells and whistles and too little overall quality.
Product features:
New version of the V60 offers a large color display, plus a new larger external display
Other upgrades include 4-way navigation keys and voice digit dialing
Phonebook can store up to 500 contacts
Comes with three games: MotoGP, Mahki, and Kick Champion
Includes a changeable metal shell

I hate this phone

I switched from another cellular provider in December and I knew it was a mistake. I was trying to save a buck - big mistake. I'm not a big fan of Cingular and I can't tell which is worse, their service or this phone. I can barely hear out of the phone and forget it if you have the windows down in the car. The ringer is easily drowned out, even at its highest setting. And when I go to my mother's house, which is 10 min from mine, I can't use it all. The address book is set up weird; for each entry there's a separate line which is dumb. And on most phones, you can personalize the screen, not this one. I guess I was spoiled by my previous cell provider. The free phones I got from them were way better than this one, and I paid for this one. I have about 18 mos left and then it's back to my old cell service.
