Motorola HS820 Bluetooth Headset - Hematite Gray
First bluetooth headset, first time satisfaction

I recently bought the hs820, and i must say, the headset is exceptional, pairing is easy, quality is clear, on both ends. The design is nice looking, not to big, yet not to small, and the piece on your ear feels quite comfortable, it doesnt feel like its going to fall of, but it doesnt feel too tight at all. The cool blue light that blinks when on a call is more aesthetic than it is annoying, i would recommend this headset to anyone with a bluetooth phone, i've paired it with my 6600 (nokia) and ive also tried it on a v551 and a 6820 and the headset has worked beautifully. A great buy for anyone looking for a good reliable headset with exceptional call quality at a great price!!
Product features:
Simply turn the headset on, place it on your ear and a Bluetooth® link is automatically established
The multifunction button allows you to place, receive or end calls, all with the push of a button!
With Bluetooth wireless technology, devices work together even up to 10 meters (30 feet) away.
The overall compact size and lightweight (less than 20g) allows for easy storage when not in use
Lengthy talk and standby times include up to 6 hours of talk time or 100 hours of standby time from a single full charge

Great Phone

This phone is great, with only a few minor flaws. The only flaws i found were: battery runs out a little too fast, and that once in a while, i get pretty bad connection, other than that, this is a great phone. The best feature about this phone is that it is color screen, and cheap with all of the rebates amazon.com has to offer. Great value. The menues are very easy to go throug, and clear to see. This phone is more than sturdy, its almost indistructable. I've dropped it about six times, and all i got was a few scratches...and the werent't on the screen. 95% of the time, I get crystal clear connection, and the other 5% i can barely hear a thing. 5% tho, no big deal. So, if you are planning to get a T-Mobile compatable phone, get this, or the Samsung E105. Personally, I like the E105 more, but this is still top notch, and second best.Overall, this phone deserves about 41/2 stars, but since you can only give stars in whole numbers, so I gave it a four. Hope this review helped -Justin

Best Phone I've Ever Used

If you're looking to unshackle yourself from carrying a mobile phone and PDA and don't want to replace them with a brick, then this is your phone. I've been using the phone for about a year and love using the calendaring, email, contacts and tasks that make this phone so functional.

Synchronizing with my PC is as easy as putting the phone into the included USB cradle -- Immediately all my contact, calendar and task information is synch'd. Using Verizon Wireless' Mobile Synch service, my e-mail is delivered directly to my phone in addition to my desktop PC. I can easily reply to e-mail by recording a .wav file that gets attached to the e-mail message and sent to the recipient without ever having to type a letter.

Microsoft's ActiveSync software makes storing documents, spreadsheets, even .pdf files easy and convenient. There are many third party software programs that are also available for the SmartPhone 2003 platform adding to the phones productivity.

Reception and clarity is better than any other phone I've used. One handed operation is simple and part of my everyday use. Turning on silent mode is done with just three key strokes. My advice is that you not waste anytime with the standard battery, but upgrade to the extended battery at the outset. I get two full days worth of usage -- on average -- using the extended battery.

The iPaq and Treo type phones have great features as well, but I don't want to have to carry around something that big and clunky. I love my i600.

Great product!

I just ordered two headsets because the one I got with my phone stopped working. Mind you, I didn't treat it very well and even after stepping on the ear piece twice (and keeping it held together with a rubber band) the thing was still working! It was only after repeated abuse that it finally fell apart. I figure that with two I'll cut down on having to transport it to and fro, as much. This is my first time ordering from Amazon and I'm hoping I won't be disappointed. Oh, and in response to the review dated 2-27-03 (cell phones and brain cancer in mice), the two studies mentioned have not been corroborated by any future studies conducted on the matter. See the FDA's reports (www.fda.gov/cellphones) and extensive international research compiled in a report by the Medical College of Wisconsin (www.mcw.edu).

Hands-free safety
Simple to use
Proven noise-cancelling technology

Motorola i2000 Plus Phone (Nextel)
WARNING

My problems with nextel did not stop when I canceled my service. I will get to the problems with the service. When I went to get a new phone a day before my contract expired, I of course wanted to keep my number. So as I went to get my Cingular phone (highly recommended), I had the old number switched to my new number. Today, I get in the mail my nextel statement for the month with a $200 early termination even though I had not canceled my service, but had simply got a new phone and switched my number over. This was on icing on the cake after 2 years of absolutely amazingy bad service from nextel. In my town, not a small town by any means, there are very few places that have any service. In the largest subdivision, you cannot get service anywhere. I constantly get comments from people trying to reach me that get the classic nextel line...Please hold while the nextel subscriber you are trying to reach is located. Most of the time I would not even recieve incoming calls, calls would go straight to my voice mail. Not only would I not get the calls, but often I would not even get the voice mails until days or even weeks later. When I did actually take calls (and call out), I cannot count the number of times I've had my call dropped. I recieved so many different error messages sometimes I wonder if they just spend all their time at nextel thinking of different error messages to program into their phones. That brings me to the selling point of nextel, the famed and well-loved direct connect feature. This is an absolute joke. Direct connect only works MAYBE half the time I tried to use it. Even then, in the middle of the conversation I would be greeted by the loud beep of my phone telling me I wont be talking to that person anymore. Of course, I would expect nothing less from the nextel network. Text messaging with nextel is next to impossible. If it did not take hours to send or recieve a message, it took days, or maybe didn't even come at all. The internet access was fine, it the rare instance that it worked. Of course, when you don't have service, you don't get the internet access either. I was constantly getting the message "network not available". Calling and trying to complain to nextel is futile. Trying to get through to customer service takes forever and once you get through they do nothing. My experience with nextel has been nothing short of a disaster and I write this trying to warn anyone considering nextel. Stick with Verizon or Cingular and you will be much happier in the end. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I don't know about the e315 or e316 phone models, but I do know that the handsfree earpiece is not compatible with the e317 phone. Motorola HS810 Bluetooth Headset
Nice but not loud enough for me

It folds up to a little tiny compact unit, its very light and comfortable to wear. Uses the same charger as a standard motorola phone (i have 2 phones that use that charger). Connects fairly easily and works with non-motorola phones, but it does sort of marry itself to the unit you connect to so you can have 2 different phones and use it on both without resetting it.

My biggest complaint, I cant use it in my car. The volume is so weak that I cant even come close to hearing it in my car. Course my car might be a little loud, but i can hear my phone if i put it up to my ear.
Product features:
Bluetooth wireless technology means that the sheer convenience of hands-free communication is enhanced with total freedom of movement.
Unfold the boom microphone, place the headset over the ear and a link will be established automatically.
This universal accessory encourages users to update, change and evolve because it is compatible with all other 1.1 compliant Bluetooth wireless technology phones by Motorola and other manufacturers.
Smaller Size, Bigger Power. This tiny powerhouse is less than 5 cm in diameter when folded and weighs just 20 grams.
Increased talk time of up to 5 hours and standby time of up to 100 hours.

No Tech Techs?

My new Motorola V220 works fine. What doesn't work is Cingular's web pesence. I have yet to log on even once in over a year to find things actually working and usable! For 5 months it refused to accept my password no matter what. I made the mistake of electing to eliminate mailed bills, that was before I discovered I would probably never be allowed internet access to MY ACCOUNT. Oh, I try every month just for the novelty, I call and complain but no one is any help. Usually I'm told I must be typing the password incorrectly. There was the one time I managed to sweet talk my way into the account by typing the password every which way possible. But that was just a cruel trick, as once in, it refused to take my money. No matter how I tried it could not verify my credit card and charge it. The same card I use all day every day on dozens of lessor corporations was a total mystery to Cingular. Of course now I don't get a paper bill anymore, which complicates matters even more. However, Cingular manages without fail to tell me by e-mail every month that my bill is ready for viewing at MY ACCOUNT. HA! HA! You see they dn't need a password to get through to me, so I can get their e-mails, but can't actually look at the bill they are so kind to tell me about. The last two months I tried to access MY ACCOUNT I ran into a new stonewall, a message telling me that MY ACCOUNT is closed for repairs, or upgrades [yeah, that's a laugh] and will be open at some future date, no promises, the date is apparently to be determined. Then this evening I decided to treat myself to a couple of less boring ring tones than those that came free with the phone. First, I discovered that if you put "ring tones" into the search engine to find the page with ring tones it will feign ignorance. It can't find anything called ring tones. Ah, but I am not so eaily discouraged, a little browsing and I discover the pages, under the word ringtones. So it seems the poor rickety search engine cannot grasp the similarity of 'ringtones' and 'ring tones', clearly my mistake. Then I spent a happy half hour browsing through all the great Star Wars offerings. Finally settled on the classic Star Wars theme and a sexy growl from Chewbacca. Read the instructions for downloading, filled out the required download phone number and clicked continue. Only to run into a new password request. It seems I need to be registered on this part of the website, and MY ACCOUNT user name and password, wait for it....won't work! Thinking I could fool my way in again I clicked on the new registration button, only to meet once more the NOT WORKING notice. You can't open an account for ringtones right now, it's being upgraded [ahem!] for my convenience. Well it's not convenient, I am appalled at the horrible low class technology being foisted on high tech lovers. How can such a high tech phone company have such clunky web presence? My 9 year old grandson could design better. Why aren't all of the other Cingular users gathering at midnight with burning torches and tempers to match? Am I the only one that attempts to use the website? Maybe I am. Or maybe they just lay in wait, lurking behind the server until I try to do anything, and blam! they make sure only little me can't make the damn thing work. Hmmm...could be, but I suspect the truth is Cingular has chosen to go to the dark side. I guess I'll take Han's advice and let the Wookie win. I understand if I look around I can buy ring tones elsewhere. Miss Kitty Concord, CA
