Great phone, except for excessive magnetic radiation

This a decent phone. To me, the main requirements are that it has good reception and a decent phone book (imagine that - I want to use it as a cell phone!), and I have no complaints about those items. But just as another reviewer said, it goes crazy magnetically. When it's by my computer, my monitor looks like it's on LSD, and my speakers make random techno music. I have no idea how Nokia managed to get FCC certification with this phone. ;-) If it weren't for the EMI stuff, I would give it 5 stars.

I like this phone but was not happy with customer service

This is my new toy!! So far, I've been using for 3 months. I love my MP3 ring tone and also enjoy taking pictures while I'm driving or walking outside. One thing, I don't like the "m-mode" botton to be placed on the top-right. I keep pressing the bottom by mistake and provider charges per certain bytes.

It was really pain to contact AT&T customer service... First, I applied 1-year contract via AT&T website, then bought this phone through Amazon and added 2nd line. I had to call for a couple times and had to wait for a long time. You will need to be patient. Anyway, I got a second phone line and 20 days later, I received a letter from AT&T saying that I have not signed back 2-year contract yet. It was just about the time when 30 day trial was ended and could not even cancelled. I was upset because the customer service never mentioned about 2-year contract over the phone when I requested for 2nd line. I called AT&T back again unfortunately. Well, they eventually changed my contract to 1-year with limited service but then, I had to wait for 15 minutes to talk to customer service. Now, everything is okay and I am sort of happy with AT&T. No complain about billing or service. I am just hoping that I don't need to call them anytime soon!

Worked fine (for a while....)

Well, just as all the other reviews state....it's a really cool lookin phone, has some nice features...BUT - it's got it's bugs too. For the price, i'd stay away from it.

Though I haven't had any problems with T-Mobile - i have with this phone. I'm going on 10 months with it and the screen (like the others state) is starting to bleach out on me. Fine lines are appearing across the screen and yes, it's starting to reboot on me for no apparent reason.

Also, i haven't read this on anyone else's review - but my phone looses phone numbers out of my phonebook every so often. They just get deleted. I'll go look for my buddy Curt - and his name and number are gone. weird...this happens probably about once every couple weeks...

the camera on the phone is subpar too...read reviews on it - you'll see...in dark light...the pics are red...again - weird.

So, i dunno..i was happy with it the first month...but after a while...it's lame...cool looking, but lame.

the worst possible phone on earth...

if there is a -5 black star, i would use it to rate this phone.

I got this phone as a "free" package for T-Mobile. First of all, the phone commands are sluggish, not extremely sluggish, but enough to drive me crazy. The responsiveness is terrible, can't be worse, especially when I want to go to the contact list, it just takes forever.

Secondly, the buttons are horrible as they simply don't work well, especially the connected pad of 8 and 0. This button is placed so close to the inner palm (eventhough I have a relatively small hand) that makes it very hard to dial with the thumb. And the 0 button doesn't work, i have to press it at least 10 times before I can get the 0. This is especially annoying when I have to use dial a pin number.

The third and most annoying thing is the sim-card problem: everytime I recevied a SMS message, it went crazy: "Insert your simcard". I literrally threw it many times in anger and fell like killing somebody from Nokia.

I don't know how such bad phone can be released out for consumers, is there any quality-testing before hand? I have enough craziness from Windows already (eventhough windows XP pro with SP2 is so far the best Microsft-made OS), i don't need any other crap from Nokia.

I wish I can throw away my phone now. No-Go for this Nokia crap.

good phone

Very Small and light. Probably the best phone for the size.
Also, syncs with Outlook, Palm or Lotus Notes. Huge plus for me. Free syncing software on Nokia's web site you can download.
However, small screen and small keys make it a little difficult to use sometimes. Easy Nokia navigation and design make up for the small size.
T-mobile has "decent" coverage if you live in an urban area, just don't plan on leaving major metro area or you are out of luck for coverage.
Product features:
New color screen with the "classic" Nokia 6000 series style
Mobile Internet capability
Includes polyphonic ringtones, speakerphone, and an integrated stereo FM radio
Phone book capacity for 300 contacts
Receive messages with image, sound, and text

Since 5 years I was using sprint phones with very easy and cool features. Recently I took Sony Ericsson T610 Phone (T-Mobile)

uprade: "NOT!"

I'm on my third handset (one replacement by Radio Shack and the other by Verizon) trying to get one of these phones that performs comparable to my Motorola phone that it was to replace. Continuing with my Verizon service and using the phone in the same places it drops twice as many calls as my Motorola and the audio breaks up constantly. After three months of trying to get satisfactory service I'm about to return it to Radio Shack for a different model from a different manufacturer. Very frustrating!
Product features:
Full feature video capture and still imaging capabilities
Superior messaging and high-speed wireless connectivity
High-speed Internet access and built-in personal planner
Built-in VGA camera with Flash
Voice Quick Dial for fast, voice-activated calls

Cingular's 30 Trial is not NO RISK

I've just finished dealing with Cingular Wireless almost 2 months after trying their service. One reason I tried it out (switching from Sprint) was because they offered me a "Risk Free 30 Day Trial." I took this Motorola phone home with me that night and it wouldn't work in my apartment. I tried to return it the next day and switch my number to Verizon (which does work beautifully!). It takes a day or two to "port" the numbers so I missed Cingular's 3-day window to return. They couldn't transfer the number quickly enough so I was charged the activation fee. A couple days later, after talking several times with Cingular and Verizon reps, I got my Verizon phone sending and receiving calls and returned the Cingular phone.
I received my second bill last week because Cingular didn't think I returned my phone. 30 minutes at the store I got the phone today cleared up that problem (good thing my work is flexible) and I was told I still owe $61.
It appears I am paying prorated charges for the calls I made for those 6 days of service, plus all applicable taxes to every municipality in the area, and for the activation, which enabled my phone to work practically nowhere.
Cingular's "Risk Free 30-day Trial" is costing me $61. That's not risk free to me - if you have a 30 day trial, and you say I can return and get a refund, REFUND ALL THE STINKIN MONEY - NOT JUST PART OF IT!
Worst service ever - go to Verizon, where the phones work and the business isn't garbage.
Product features:
Quad-band GSM phone with built-in Bluetooth
Integrated VGA camera with 4x zoom and video capture
MP3 ringtone capable
Features EDGE high-speed data network compatibility
Conference calling and integrated hands-free speaker
