Samsung E715 Phone (T-Mobile)
Best Samsung Phone Ever

I have owned almost every samsung Phone that has been hyped and updated, i have to say that this phone is one of the best. I was afraid that this phone would be a disapointment like the V205, but i was mistaken. Not only is this phone beautiful in looks, the specifications cannot be beat by any phone. The picture quality on the camera is excellent, the color is amazing and the reception is just as good as what i received on my S105. If i had to recommend a phone that is similar to the E715...i would recommend the S105, the LGVX6000, and of course its older brother, the E700. The only thing that i wish that the E715 inherited from the E700 was the color screensavers with the bouncing balls. This effect would make it similar to the LGVX6000. BUY THIS PHONE!

things I wish I knew before I bought this phone...

I was switching over to T-mobile from pay-as-you-go virgin mobile, so I really wanted to find the perfect phone for my new "real" plan (bills and all). I was torn between this samsung phone because I kept finding mixed reviews about it. But I took a chance and have been pretty satisfied with it. But there are still some things I really wish I had read about in other people's reviews that would've given me a better perspective before I bought this phone.

1. The battery life isn't all that it's cracked up to be. I know a lot of people bash it while others find it ok...I find it to be just that. It's not spectacular, especially when you talk on your phone for more than 40 minutes a day (free nights and weekends are fun) but the standby time is decent in that you don't have to recharge for 2-3 days.

2. I could just be stupid, but I had the hardest time figuring out how to add more than one phone number to a person in "contacts." For some reason, it would always put the new number as a subcategory away from the person's name. I finally figured out that you have to type each number seperately and then go to the list and choose the name off of it. (I was just so used to being able to add a number by choosing the name first)

3. The camera on this phone is meh...if you're taking a picture of something that's not right there in front of you, the quality sucks. Plus, it has a hard time focusing on objects so the picture comes out dull instead of looking sharp and crisp. Don't get me wrong, the camera is alright, just remember that you're buying this for a phone, not a camera.

4. Having no speaker on this phone is annoying sometimes. When I drive in my car, I really wish I had a speaker phone. Even though it comes with a headset, it's not the same.

5. When I first heard the ringtones that came with this phone...I wanted to cry. I guess the inventors of samsung decided to have new-hip(ish) ringtones and they had some real winners like "cat's dance" and "traumerei" (a weird remake of On top of Old Smokey). I figured I could avoid these by getting at least one decent one online, but apparently you are charged by t-mobile for the "broswer message" that is sent to your phone by the website, to download the ringtone. It sucks, because it's not technically a text message, but you're still charged for it.

6. Writing messages (such as texts) or acutally typing anything at all is a pain because of the way they programmed it. If you choose to have the Capital lettter for the beginning of each word option, for some reason it automatically switches to all lower case after to type the second letter. It's not really a huge problem, it just gets to be an annoyance after a while, having to keep clicking back and forth.

Ok, I think that's it with all my gripes about this phone. Other than that it's a nice phone with the sleek style. I really like how it's lightweight and small so it fits into the tightest pocket. Hope all this helps guys!

Waste of Money, and Time.

This is a worthless item that no one can even hear you on. I can hear them great, but the mic in this little baby is poor, poor, poor. Amazon will get this piece of junk back. The one star required is a WAY too generous rating for this product.

OVERRATED, missing simple features

large memory, beautiful color screen, video phone, plays mp3s, compact size

NO speakerphone as advertised online, screen exposed (gets smudged/scratched), no bluetooth , poor call quality, poor battery life

Full user opinion
This phone is overrated. I was really excited to receive it 2 days ago and now I plan to return it and switch to Verizon. I favor flip phones over the slider, for the simple reason that the screen is protected. Furthermore, when this phone is closed, the screen is blank! You have to slide it open or hold down a button just to see if you have a missed call or see the time/date. Call quality is poor, not nearly as good as when I had T-Mobile with an old T720. Battery life is awful, barely stays charged for more than a day with moderate use. I expected much more than I got with this phone, and am glad I can still return it with no fee.

Sony Ericsson T610 Phone (T-Mobile)

The T610 (through t-mobile)was my first camera phone, and let me say i am not impressed. First of all lets talk about reception, NOT MUCH TO SAY OTHER THAN IT IS CRAP! Oh yea I have a camera im going to take pictures (WHICH ARE HORRIBLE QUALITY). thats fine if u want to be able to store about 10 even after deleting every ringtone every game and anything else extra. And dont think you will be able to take a picture and send it to your e-mail address because YOU HAVE NO SIGNAL! now for the PROS. The battery life is beautiful. also it is bluetooth enabled which i love. Menu is easy to use: END PROS, back to CONS: dont try and "hack" it because theres nothing to do with it. overall this phone is boring dull and i paid $300.00 for mine. lets just say i have been depressed since buying it.

Beware David L. Field "ty7kyoy" "Beep of Death"

The Beep of Death is a Sprint PCS issue. NOT a Verizon issue. No owner of a Verizon XV6600 (without camera) has had it, and it is unlikely that the camera would change that. Research your facts first, and don't jump to conclusions like David here, go to for a start.

good phone

This phone is small and light weighted. The phone book is easy access. I've been getting some good and bad reviews with regard to the sound quality and the reception. Well, the most I can do to help is, so far, I've been getting pretty good reptions in San Mateo, So SF, Paolo Alto area, etc... The alarm clock is a nice feature to have. I expected more for the picture quality. In my opinion, sony erricson T610 has better quality. Most of the wallpapers are not that pretty. Like many other viewers, the volume control is Hard to press. The Power button is too, but if I dont always turn it on and off, so that is ok with me. Overall, I am happy with this new phone even tho the picture quality wasnt as good as I expected.

New color screen with the "classic" Nokia 6000 series style

Jabra FreeSpeak Bluetooth Headset for non-Bluetooth phones with 2.5mm Jack
It works as advertised, but...

I've been using mine with my Sony Ericsson T68i for about three months now. Setting the headset up took a little while to figure out, the documentation was just plain wrong. But once I paired the headset with my phone I was up and running. PROS: No headset wires to get tangled up in. The phone can be in your pocket, on your belt, or in your purse. Also the shape and size makes it comfortable to wear for extended periods. It's lightweight and not bulky. Although the earpiece can plug directly into your ear I suspect it was designed to actually sit slightly outside your ear canal. You can adjust the volume directly from the earpiece and it can easily be switched to wear on either ear.CONS: Although the sound is intelligble and loud, the overall quality is not as good as a corded headset. Also the sound quality appears to be inconsistent. Some days I'll get alot of static, other days I'll get a clear reception. Callers say that they are able to hear me clearly, but could also hear faint background noise, some have reported a very faint buzzing sound. The Bluetooth signal overall is pretty weak, sometimes turning your head slightly can result in static. Not having a clear line of sight between the headset and phone can sometimes result in static. I found that it's best to keep the phone within 3 or 4 feet. But sometimes I couldn't get a connection to my phone even when my phone is sitting right next to me! I suspect other 2.4ghz radio signals in the area were jamming me. Overall the headset isn't bad, but unless you do alot of talking or HAVE to have the latest gadget & technology, you may want to wait for the next generation of Bluetooth headsets. I suspect future headsets will have better range and sound quality. The average consumer might want to wait till the Bluetooth sound quality matches corded headset quality.

Hands free, cord free headset
Works up to 30 feet away from phone
An answer/end button supports voice activation

Good product

All though I have only had mine for a short time now I have to say I am very impressed. I read some of the other reviews and the only thing I can summise is that the others did not take time to consider that bluetooth is a wireless technology and is not perfect. All though I have noticed some static it is very mild and only when I am a considerable distance from my handset. I am able to use mine in the car and I can hear just fine, in fact I typically have the volume turned down a bit. I feel that the fit is secure, too much tighter and it would not be comfortable. Based on other reviews I guess that I must have the ear that the headset was designed around. I don't typically use it outside, but to those with problems with wind noise... even a regular phone is going to pick up wind noise. I love the voice dailing capabilities it works very well with my V710. Overall I am very happy and would definately purchase another if the need arose.

The multifunction button allows you to place, receive or end calls, all with the push of a button!

Best Phone Ever!

I am in love with this phone!

First off, the Palm functionality is wonderful! The address book and calendar all work excellently, and the cross-functions are great

Improvements include SMS messaging, which is much faster and now includes hyperlinks for phone numbers and web addresses

The web on here is faster ---- the screen is crisper

However, BlueTooth is the BEST new feature ----- wireless data transfer is, usually, quick, and the wireless headphones are great

It is true that this phone can sometimes be a lil' slow with functions - but I still love it - you'll get use to it ----- BUY IT NOW

you won't be sorry

PS - the Cardo Scala bluetooth earpiece is the best earpiece out there for this phone
