Lithium Polymer 700mA Battery extended for Pocket PC Phones
Awesome!, its your solution for battery life!

I've had it about for 2 weeks now and its been nothing but flawless. The label says 700mA but it really is the 1500mA which means it doubles your battery life of your regular pocket pc. With the original 1700mA battery (the one standard one), I'd be lucky to reach 3:00pm with the battery being 10%. Now, with the extended battery, I listen to mp3's for about 6 hours straight, and the main battery is about 80% and the extended battery is like at 90%, just completely awesome. This includes phone calls I get and all of this with the backlight on. And yes, this means you CAN go days without charging the battery, probably a good 2 and a half days before you really have to charge it. And with any charger you have (the cradle or plug-in), it'll charge both batteries for you.

I did think it was kinda expensive, but after using it about 2 years without it, it is defintely worth it. Don't believe me? Give it a shot, you'd be impressed and amazon does have a return policy ;)...

Nice!!....

Ok, for all those people complaining about this phone, you guys do not know what you are talking about. First of all, the external LCD does light up and it displays Caller ID. Second, the keypad does light up too. Third, the battery life is very descent requiring you don't use as an MP3 player always. The talk time and stand by time is good. Finally, the volume is very clear and loud.Pros: I like the Windows software making it easy to navigate if you are familiar with Windows. Having Windows Media Player in the phone is excellent. I can play MP3 on it (the phone converts it into WMA.) I also like that you can hook it up to your PC and copy and paste files in the phone. There's a slot for a mulitmedia/secure digital card (this is where I save my musics.) On a 16MB card, you can only fit about 4-5 songs. The screen is excellent and very sharp; the best I've seen so far. It has speakerphone and voice recorder capabilities, which comes in handy for me. It comes with a stereo headphones which is also a headset for talking. The cradle is excellent which connects it to your USB and charges your phone at the same time. You can also download the theme creator from Microsoft so you can customized your phone according to how you want it.Cons: The service sucks: Wireless and Customer Care. I'm trying to port or transfer my cingular number and so far it's been taking forever and that's just trying to contact At&t. I was on hold for 2 hours so I tried again the next day and waited for another 3 hours. Then the customer rep screwed up the porting and gave me two accounts. HELLOOOOO, I only have one phone....Geez..I swear I went from one rep to another and another and another trying to fix this. They told me I need to buy another SIM card for their screw up. They did credit me for it. They suck big time. They even screwed up my plan, also. After all of this I ended up giving the account to my mother. I got my MPX200 unlocked and used my T-Mobile SIM card. I'm very happy with the phone through T-Mobile. Oh yeah, At&t won't unlock my phone. They said they do not do that. They are so full of it. I paid somebody to unlock my MPX200. Did you know T-Mobile unlock their phones without any questions? Unlike At&t, they are very good in customer service.Ok, the phone tends to lag from time to time when you have many applications running. That's all.Again, very happy with this phone while on the T-Mobile network.
At&t [is bad]!!

Don't do it

I bought this product because my ears are too small to accomodate most the the in/over the ear type of headseats. I felt it was worth the extra [price] to get the Plantronics quality. What a waste! I first tried it on my Samsung 8500 cell phone. The sound quality on my end was pretty good but the person I called couldn't hear me at all. He said I sounded like I was down in a hole. I next tried it on my Toshiba 2.4Gz DSS home phone. The sound on my end was muffled. When I tried to leave a voicemail the mic volume was so low that the voicemail system didn't record the message. On both phones the handset and headset speaker volume were at the max. It seemed to work better on the cell phone but it was still unacceptable. Not recommended.

Impressed

I am an infrequent cell phone user so after a year of not having a cell phone, I decided to take the plunge yet again. After a lot of research I decided to get this Samsung phone. When I received it, I was very pleasantly surprised. The phone was much smaller than the picture indicates, it fits in my jeans pocket with no problem! So far, I've had it about a week and the phone is pretty clear, no problems connecting. I've even downloaded some free ring tones. So far very happy, no-frills service, I received the phone, turned it on and was ready to make calls immediately.

My boyfriend has this phone and it is so neat I've never owned a phone like this but as soon as I can I will have one just like it. Everyone that sees it goes crazy over it and wants one but none of them has went to get one yet! My boyfriend's boss asks him to use it all the time because the one he has he can't use it because it just won't get out anywhere. So like I said this is an excellent phone to have you don't need a house phone when you have this one. My boyfriend's boss has Verizon and doesn't like it at all. Thank You Sincerly Robin L. Rudy A very loyal customer to T-Mobile for four years.

Crapiest phone ever made. I hope someone sue Kyocera.

For your own good, NEVER BUY THIS JUNK. I have the same problem as all others. This crap worked for just a year and after that the screen turns blank. Couldn't return as warranty was for only 1 year. The worst of all is that I bought this phone for 140$ as I did not want to change my phone number. Now I am just waiting patiently for my stupid contract to expire.

Great phone..but

I would like to join to those who liked the Samsung E715. I only want to point out a few problems.1) The Calendar is a rudimentary, VERY poorly designed part of the system. Motorola is waaaay better. Can you imagine that it only takes about 20-25 entries before it is "FULL"? No automatic deletion of old data.2). Yes, it has an infrared port but what is to connect to? My XP computer has no problem recognizing the phone, however, no software can communicate with it, including Samsung's own "Easy GPRS"3) The battery life is scary short. Make sure you recharge it every day.Otherwise it is a good phone. I like it. Three start only because one expects more for so much money.Akos

HelloMoto!

CAN NOT GIVE A 5 STAR BECAUSE THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR INPROVEMENT. MY DAUGHTER GOT THIS MOTOROLA FOR [$] BUT IT'S LCD WAS DEFECTIVE SO SHE GOT THE SAMSUNG E715 AS A REPLACEMENT. NOW THREE WEEKS LATER THE PRICE ON THIS MOTOROLA DROPS TO MINUS [$]WITH REBATES SO I DECIDED TO TRY IT AGAIN AS MY PHONE. SO FAR, SO GOOD. MOTOROLA VS SAMSUNG- THE V300'S BATTERY LAST LONGER,HAS A SPEAKERPHONE, VOICE RECOGNITION, A GREAT EXTERIOR FEEL, NICER ACCESSORIES, CHEAPER THAN FREE AND ITS AN AMERICAN COMPANY. THE E715 IS SMALLER, NO ANTENNA STICKING UP, BETTER LCD ACTION, LARGE OUTSIDE LCD WITH COOL CLOCK, LARGER PHONE # READOUT (WEAR OR NEED GLASSES?)AND MULTI-COLORED LIGHTS THAT BLINK WHEN YOU GET A PHONE CALL. (MY DAUGHTER LIKES THIS BUT I FEEL ITS A BIT TACKY). TRUTHFULLY, THE PRICE WAS THE DECISION MAKER BECAUSE BOTH PHONES ARE PRETTY COOL. THE YOUNGER YOU ARE, OR FEEL, THE MORE LIKELY YOU WOULD GO WITH THE SAMSUNG AND NOT THE MONEY SAVINGS!
Product features:
Tri-band GSM capability
Large color display features 65,000 colors
Built-in VGA camera with zoom

Battery problem? What battery problem?

I have to say, I spent a lot of time fretting about whether to buy this phone because my old phone had such good reception and battery power.

But. Let me say: I think the battery is great! I charged this phone up fully, the charge lasted several days and I waited till it ran out completely. Then I re-charged it Sunday night and took it with me, fully charged, to work on Monday. I had a full, three-bar charge that lasted three days (through Wednesday). It's now end of day Thursday and I'm still at two bars. It looks like one charge will have successfully gotten me through the entire work week.

Now, I don't take a lot of pictures and scroll through them and show my friends and use my bluetooth and all that. I call people. I talk a moderate amount (maybe 30 minutes a day). If this describes what you want out of a phone, then you probably will find it to be a great phone with great battery power. I know some of you use the phone a lot more rigorously, but if you're a moderate user like me, you shouldn't be afraid of the battery power at all.

Also -- the reception is great! I get reception in places my old phone didn't -- and I had never had a complaint about its reception. So hopefully this will allay some of the fears the other reviews might have raised.
Product features:
Quad-band GSM phone with built-in Bluetooth
Integrated VGA camera with 4x zoom and video capture
MP3 ringtone capable
Features EDGE high-speed data network compatibility
Conference calling and integrated hands-free speaker

No hipster here either but...diggin' it.

I bought this phone after my "Vox" bit the dirt four months in. (Don't buy the "Vox". It had great reception but, the front LCD burned out.) The "Slider", so far and with better reception in my area, is one of the best phones I've ever had! I spent some time reading the manual and then picked up the phone...I shouldn't have wasted my time with the manual! This phone's menus are completely intuitive! I don't really use the MTV stuff but, the ringtones available are GRRRREEEAAATTT!!!! So far I have the A-Team theme, the theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark and "House of Fun" by Madness. (Got to find some Earth, Wind and Fire or Stevie Wonder.) You can also get various personalities to do your voicemail greeting. (Batman!) Anyway, the tip calculator has already come in handy and the voice memo function is like having a digital recorder when you really need it. No camera but, I'm a photographer so I have one with me all the time anyway. Don't you?
Oh, today I found out by accident that I have call waiting too! Caller ID with personal ringtones and icons are essential for avoiding the "New Millenium Pop-In".
I've only had this for a few weeks and I'm hoping I don't run into durability issues like the "Vox' but, Kyocera makes Contax cameras (some of the best in the world) so how could I go wrong. But, the major point to all of this is that I bought the replacement plan from Best Buy for the "Vox" and it was well worth it. I had no problems getting my new phone. The only sucky thing is that you will, regardless of the new laws, have to get a new phone number with the Virgin pre-paid service. This is not a viable option for someone needing a hardcore business phone. Bought the plan for this phone too and hope I never have to use it beacause it's a great phone!
Product features:
No prepaid minutes included. Comes with charger.
Unique sliding design - phone slides open with the push of a thumb
Full-color screen
Downloadable, polyphonic ringtones and vibrate alert
2-way text messaging, 1-touch and voice dialing
