PCS Phone palmOne Treo 600 (Sprint)
Awesome Device

The future is here...80% of human knowledge in the palm of your hand. Excellent phone and workmanship. Downside...slooooow net speed & frequently no net/email access at all.
Product features:
Treo 600 combines a full-featured mobile phone and Palm OS organizer with wireless applications like email, text messaging, web browsing and even a digital camera
QWERTY keyboard makes entering text and accessing information fast and familiar-perfect for messaging and a must have for email
Built-in color web browser, Blazer, gives you fast access to nearly all the sites on the web-not just the ones optimized for mobile devices
Take a picture or share images with others via email-you can even attach a photo to a phone number so you can see exactly who's calling with Picture Caller ID
Because Treo 600 runs the popular Palm OS, there are thousands of applications you can download and use-like MP3 players, etc.

Nokia 3220 Phone (T-Mobile)
One of the best phones out there...

I have the Nokia 3220 with T-Mobile and I am quite satisfied, after switching from a Nokia 6590 from Cingular. I highly recommend Nokia, as even my last phone with Cingular was great to. Also, T-Mobile has the best customer service out of any carrier and they are availiable 24 hours a day, definitely an advantage over Cingular, who are much less attentive to customer needs.

This phone is great for anyone, people in their late teens - 20s will really like this phone for all the customization. The phone is pretty cool looking with the LED lights too. Also, the camera and video are a plus as they are pretty good quality for a cell phone, but like all camera-phones they are never as good as actual digital camera.

PROS:
-Excellent reception
-Decent Battery Life
-Speakerphone (Nice Quality and it is loud)
-They include two faceplates
-Small
-Color Screen
-Camera and VIDEO!
-Customizable Faceplate Inserts (They include a stencil too)
-It is a Nokia

CONS:
-Time is only displayed in screen saver mode
-The faceplates do not seem too durable (the plastic scratches very easily); however, they include two, so even if one is scratched badly, you have another.
-Could be thinner than it is, a little thick, but thinner than almost all flip phones
-Slight speaker feedback on calls, does not affect clarity though
-No Bluetooth
-No MP3 ringtones (Mega-Tones), obviously not a big deal to me anyways
Product features:
Customize your handset how ever you want - create your own cut-out back cover, or download a cut-out cover and print it out on your PC
Assign different light patterns/ring tones to your favorite caller groups and your handset lights up in tune with your polyphonic ring tones
128 x 128 pixel high-resolution color displays up to 65,536 colors with 640 x 480 pixel camera and VGA camera
Attach a photo to a contact in your in your phone book to see who is calling you
Stay in touch even when you can't talk with AOL Instant Messenger or Yahoo Messenger

Motorola V551 Phone (Cingular)
This phone is tha bomb

The Motorola v551 phone is built for those individuals who enjoy not only taking pictures but for those who like shooting videos, and it offers bluetooth. The bluetooth capability on this phone is awesome, you can take the phone to somewhere like CVS and develop pictures for cheap prices. You can also use this phone in areas where you have bad reception on most other phones because this is a quad-mode phone. You can use this phone with wireless technology...if you purchase the bluetooth enabled headset, you can use this phone wirelessly. The screen on this phone has great colors. It has a good battery life for a camera phone. I think this phone rates as a 10 stars out of 5.
Product features:
Quad-band GSM phone with built-in Bluetooth
Integrated VGA camera with 4x zoom and video capture
MP3 ringtone capable
Features EDGE high-speed data network compatibility
Conference calling and integrated hands-free speaker

Motorola V551 Phone (Cingular)
Awesome!!!!

I just bought this phone today, and i just wanna tell you somethings that may help you make a decision.

I upgraded from the Motorola t720, and I am amazed that my chargers for that phone work in this one. Also, i just saved all my phone book entries to my SIM card in my old phone, and the card is now in this phone, as with all my phone entries. This phone lets you take pics of your contacts, and will display the pics next to the entry! As with the T720, this phoen lets you assign different ring tones to the entries.

The ringtones are awesome, the best i have heard on any cell phone. The camera has a zoom, and it takes awesome pics, it even adjusts to dark and extreme light. The screen is awesome, very bright and has awesome detail.

If you are used to a flip phone, especially a motorola, then this will be easy to navigate.

The outside trim has a rubbery feel to it, like it might actually be able to take a pretty good bump. It is a very solid phone, the hinge is strong feeling.

Of course, i have had this phone one day, so i may have complaints later, but i hope i can help someone out with a decision.

The one thing i dont' like about this phone, is that it is kinda thick. Not nearly as light as my old T720.

Nokia N-Gage QD Gaming Phone (T-Mobile)
Smart Phone + PDA + Portable Game Console !!!

I just got my N-Gage QD and I love it already.

It's small and powerful smart phone phone based on Symbian and Series 60 interface - check out www.symbian.com and www.series60.com - so it's more like a small computer and there's a huge library of software available, even gameboy emulators.

As a portable game console, the best feature is the on-line multiplayer, it connects to the internet and uses the N-Gage Arena - arena.n-gage.com as a portal for gamers all over the world: post your scores, beat your friends, earn a reputation.... games to look out: Pocket Kindom, Pathway to Glory, the One, Requiem of Hell, X-Men Legends...

As a PDA it's good enough: the contacts (and their pictures) got copied and synchronized from my Power Mac using iSync and also all the appointments got into the calendar. I love seeing the picture of my wife when she's calling me...

I still carry my ipod mini and my canon sd10 camera, but with the N-Gage QD I have a phone + pda and really cool on-line games !
Product features:
High-performance mobile 3D gaming
4096-color screen and backlight
Bluetooth wireless technology
Hot swap MMC-card slot for external memory
Supports text and instant messaging

Motorola MPx220 Smartphone (Cingular)
The best phone I've ever had!

I have had this phone for a month and absolutely love it! It has already changed the way I work and has greatly reduced the amount (and weight) of electronics I carry most days. Without a thought I now carry my entire data base, calender etc. and have my emails updated every 5-30 minutes through my exchange server.

Yes, the speaker could be louder but that is remedied by using Motorola's bluetooth speaker.

I would love a keyboard and more memory, but the small size and weight are a more than reasonable trade-off.

For a compact, useable tool-- this is it! (For now.)

Product features:
Compatibility with Windows Mobile applications (Pocket Outlook/Pocket Internet Explorer)
64MB Flash ROM and mini-SD removable memory for extra storage
Link your phone to your PC with ActiveSync or Bluetooth
Fully synchronize your email, calendar, contacts and tasks
Built-in 1.2 megapixel camera with flash

3 Piece Starter Kit for Sony Ericsson Z500a
Buy Better Accessories Separately!

This looks like a good starter kit, but when you price them altogether, you're better off buying them all separately. The earpiece/microphone doesn't stay in your ear even with that silly clip, so buy a Sony model that wraps around your ear or a headset or Gel accessory by Jabra. The charger is cheap and flimsy, so I'd go with Sony Ericsson's Premium Vehicle Power Charger (also reviewed) that is a much hardier design. As far as the belt case goes - forget it. It's flimsy and cheap. Get a Sony "belt holster" (also reviewed) or a more expensive leather case holder for your belt. It's all a few more bucks, but it will last longer.
Product features:
Includes Cigarette lighter adapter, Leather carrying case and Hands free earbud
Car cord powers your phone and recharges the battery while on the go
Genuine full-grain leather carrying case with clear plastic front protects the display and keypad
Comfortable earbud, mini shirt clip optimizes microphone placement & eliminates cord weight pull
Compatible with Sony Ericsson Z500a

Samsung 426 Phone - Next Generation (AT&T)
horrible phone!

Just a comment to Mike. According my AT&T store, there was a shipment of these phones that was put out, which had a defect in the mic. It caused people to sound distorted digitally and often too loud to the people on the other line. I had the same problem, the phone was exchanged and the problem disappeared. The phone does have its negatives: lack of caller ID on the outside (which they have on the T-Mobile model) and horrible ringtones will probably the first features most users will notice. I do think it is easy to use and, although it lacks the greatness of Nokia phones, is still a great little phone. Ultra light and very comfortable, large display and buttons, good menu structure, easier to find many of the options within the menus and good connection/battery life. If you're getting it on Amazon, the value is unbeatable! Just don't expect to get a 300 dollar phone for free (or even money back).
Product features:
Samsung 426 is notable for its thin profile, light weight, and large, bright color display
Includes GPRS high-speed data and Java downloadable applications
Features 40-chord polyphonic ringtones
Holds 7 hours of talk time and 216 hours of standby time
Supports wireless Internet and text messaging

T-Mobile Sidekick II Phone (T-Mobile)
This should be recalled

As with many prototype products that carries with it expected problem, this is no exception. This list of problems is too long to list in the short time I have. Basic problems includes keyboards not lighting up and not showing all characters, paints inside keyboard and on case peeling off in under a week, softwares have bugs and so forth.

In time, these problems may be addressed and resolved. I recommend waiting until Danger and Sharp addresses these problem.
Product features:
Real web browsing
Built-in camera with flash
Built-in organizer with PC synchronization
Photo caller ID
AOL Instant Messenger, text messaging, 6 MB email account

Motorola A630 Phone (T-Mobile)
A630 Rocks

I use the A630 for text messaging, and there isn't a cell phone on the market that is easier to use. You open the phone up and type the message just like you would on a keyboard. I have a friend that types on her A630 using her fore-fingers, and I use my thumbs. I can crank out notes left and right. The Bluetooth on it is cool too, I have a headset that makes talking quite easy, particularly when running between classes. Finally, this device is a social MAGNET. You carry it and everyone wants to check it out!
Product features:
Tri-band GSM capability
Built-in Bluetooth wireless technology
Supports MMS, SMS, e-mail (POP3, SMTP, IMAP4), and instant messaging
Integrated VGA digital camera
Full QWERTY keyboard with 5-way navigation
