Plantronics M2500 Bluetooth Headset
What a headset!!!

I was pleasantly surprised on how well this headset worked with my Motorola v600 headset. The audio is very crisp, clear and loud. The voice dial works better than the voice dial on my Motorola HS810. I also love the way it hugs my ear!! The HS810 just hangs on the ear and it always feels like it will fall off. I absolutely love the Plantronics M2500 Bluetooth Headset!!
Product features:
Bluetooth wireless freedom
Up to 5 hours of talk time, 120 hours standby
Easy to use controls for volume, mute and call answer/end
SoundGuide™ earpiece for comfort and performance
Compatible with Bluetooth devices supporting the headset or hands-free profile

ready for a replacement

i have owned a samsung e715 since january of 2004. actually you could say i have owned 4 of them and i am fixing to own another. all e 715s i have owned have started to have scan lines and fade out. the phone works great and has some great features but if your screen fades out there is no point in having such good features. another thing is the pictures of the inside of your pocket which are great if you love black pictures of nothing, but i will say that when it does take a picture of the inside of your pocket it at least lets you know by releasing a shutter sound. the ringtones on this phone suck and that is all there is to say about that. also i have to recharge my battery about every other day and sometimes i do not have a charger with me when i need it. i bought this phone because it looks great and has the great features, but man it has been a pain in my hind quarters.

Disappointing

Pros: (1) First tri-mode phone that would work inside my house. Don't know if that's due to upgrades in Verizon's network since the last time I tried to switch to a tri-mode or if it's that this phone has more range. I tried many tri-mode phones that didn't work and had to keep going back to my trusty Audiovox 4000 dual-mode phone for its better range.

(2) Good display for older eyes, except very difficult to see in a quick glance who the caller is when a call comes in on call waiting while you are talking to someone else. With my old phone, I could see the incoming caller's number in a split second and get the phone back up to my ear so I didn't miss much of the conversation I was in. On this one, the number of the person you are talking to is clear but it's hard for the eye to find and read the number of the person on call waiting, especially in high ambient light.

Cons: (1) Short battery life. Short car cord. Once the battery is dead, I try to keep talking by plugging in the car cord and hunching over close to the cigarrette lighter so the short springy cord doesn't pull the plug out, but after a minute or so, the phone shuts down even with power from the cigarette lighter if the battery is dead. Maybe my charger or battery is defective.

(2) Camera -- no way to get pictures out except by sending them to yourself over the internet, which costs money. But that's okay, because the picture quality is poor so why would you want them? No way to lock buttons, so you are constantly taking pictures of the inside of your pockets and especially of your shoulder as you answer calls and accidentally hit the shutter button.

All-in-all, a step down from my trusty, clunky old Audiovox 4000 which I used for years. I would still be using the 4000, except Verizon insists they will charge me $150/month for 2000 minutes with the 4000, plus charge for long distance, whereas with a tri-mode it's $99 and free long distance. Waaaa!

So now it's off to the Verizon store to return this phone and try another.

Sanyo RL2000 PCS Vision Ready Link Phone (Sprint)
Great Phone! Sanyo Does it again!

This phone is not a 5 star phone, as most Sanyo phones are. But it is still a great phone. I don't own this particular model yet, but it will be next in my collection! This phone has so many positives that the minor drawbacks are insignificant by comparison.

For starters the new Link feature allows you to have direct communications, just like Nextel users have enjoyed for so long. The speakerphone made popular on the SCP 4900 is also included here, allowing easy hands-free. The screen is VERY high quality, allowing you to fully enjoy the wireless web. And, the signal strenth is great due to the superior antenna technology that Sanyo uses.

This phone is, however, rather sizable compared to newer cell phones. It's not equipped with a camera or any of those other features people have grown accustomed to. As a phone however, it's great. I will definitely forgo the convenience of a camera phone for the performance that this phone provides.

I highly recommend this phone for those who talk a lot and need a reliable phone with a strong signal. Some of the flip models are better for those who want a phone with a camera.
Product features:
Enjoy the convenience of quick, walkie-talkie style communication at the touch of a button with one or several PCS Ready Link users anywhere you go
Vibrant 4,096-color icon-driven display can show up to seven lines of text
Standard Phone Book holds 300 entries. Separate PCS Ready Link Phone Book provides easy access to your PCS Ready Link contacts
Durable PCS Phone designed to minimize the wear and tear from heavy use (not water resistant)
Hands-free operation of your phone made easy with this built-in speakerphone

Motorola V220 Phone (Cingular)
so far so good

I got this phone only about two weeks ago and so far I'm pretty impressed. The screen is slightly smaller than my previous phone (Samsung x427) but the memory capacity more than makes up for it. I ditched the Samsung because it quickly ran out of memory but I've downloaded a ton of stuff on the Motorola and all of it plays fine. Anyways, here are some pros and cons:

Pros: memory capacity, sharp screen resolution, using the camera and sending pictures is VERY easy, being able to switch ringer betwen volumes or vibrate without opening the phone is nice, downloaded ringtones sound much clearer than on other phones, the speakerphone works well also, games load fast and play well, the battery life is also pretty good

Cons: although there are games available for download, the phone doesn't come with any preloaded, so don't be surprised, the outer display scratches a little too easy and would be better if it was more durable, the camera, while easy to use, doesn't have very good resolution and really needs a flash, the screen size is adaquate although it would be better if it was bigger

Overall it's a very good phone. For people looking for a good phone for ringtones and games, it's great, but for the best resolution on the camera, it's nothing spectacular.

Product features:
Stylish and ultralight VGA (640x480) camera phone with built-in speakerphone
Features hyptics vibration and fun lights
Java 2.0 capable and voice dialing ready right out of the box
Downloadable themes, wallpapers and ringtones
Includes phone and travel charger

Another frustrated Sidekick user

I bought this phone about 4 months ago with the data plan. The very first week I changed jobs and dint need the data plan any more. So I called the customer reps and asked them if I should exchange the phone now that i dont have the data plan. She told me that it work just like a regular phone. The first 3 months I would keep getting the SIM card is not ready message. I ignored it as I like all the other features. One day while I was on a call the phone died on me and all my contacts were gone. They sent a replacement phone and now the SIM card was inserted without a data plan. The Activation screen never goes away. I have to press Menu + L one to many times to get to the screen. Then may be I also have to hit OK for the SIM card is not ready message. Then I get to make calls. While call waiting I dont get to see who is calling me because the activation screen is on always.T-mobile will not stand by thier words. They say i will have to take that with Amazon. Iam just getting tossed around. Its VERY BAD T-MOBILE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Period. Things happen, but we need good people to take care of you and for the money you are paying. The bottom line
-The phone has great features for the price
-The service providers for the phone and the plan SUCKS.
-DOnt buy this phone if you want to downgrade your plan ever, that does not include data service.Hope this helps.
Product features:
Important note: It's required that you add the Sidekick Unlimited Data option to your service plan before you check out.
To add the required option, you must add the Sidekick and a service plan, and then on the Accessories page, you need to select the Sidekick Unlimited Data option located under Service Options (this option is located on Step 3 in the checkout process)
The T-Mobile Sidekick is the ultimate communication device
A large color screen that flips open to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard makes for quick and easy communication
Stay connected with all your friends with unlimited e-mail, AOL Instant Messenger, Internet browsing, text messaging and mobile snapshots

Don't do it!

I was very enthusiastic about getting this phone because of the reviews, its look and the fact that it was, for all intents and purposes, free. It arrived and switching my number from Sprint was fairly easy, though required a few calls to T-Mobile to check on their progress.Navigating around the phone is fairly easy, and the display is great... indoors. Outdoors is another story entirely. The bluetooth functionality is pretty good, too, though when used with the Jabra headset, I can't get more than 10-15 feet away without losing the quality. Now for the downside: I live in NYC where the entire city is a wind tunnel. The bulk of my calling occurs when I'm walking on the street. This phone picks up all of the surrounding noise - car horns, sirens, and especially wind - often eliciting comments from people on the other end such as "are you in a helicopter?" I'm not sure if this is a setting that I can adjust or if it's just the way the phone is. Certainly, if it's the latter, I'm going to need to get another phone since the microphone sensitivity is simply unacceptable.
Product features:
Large 128x160 pixel 65.000 color screen
MMS for composing messages using images, sounds and text
Supports Java and Mophun platforms for the widest range of mobile games and applications
Supports Bluetooth, infrared and cable for PC synchronization
With a built-in 319 x 288 pixel camera and QuickShare software

It Broke After 1 Week!

I got my headset and loved it, the people I was talking to couldn't tell a difference and I was convinced that I was saving my brain from radiation. That was the first week I had it. The second week everyone I called complained that they couldn't hear me because of all of the static on the phone. As soon as I would unplug the headset, "Oh, that is much better now!". I would have to recommend against this headset based on what is obviously cheap construction and second-rate components.
Product features:
Convertable to over-the-head to over-the-ear
Works with headset ready cordless phones
RF noise shield with adjustable boom
Includes 2.5mm plug
Microphone volume switch

Very Disappointing

I purchased this phone last month and have been very disappointed ever since. First of all, the phone drops calls all the time and the coverage is very poor. The phone's battery life is very limited. I frequently found myself searching for the power supply cord at the end of the day. And the phone seems to have a major problem telling me when I have voicemails. Just yesterday, I had 3 very important messages sitting on my voicemail but the phone never notified me. The external LCD screen does not show caller ID information. You need to install a separate app and then hand-enter each and every phone number. The Smartphone 2002 OS is very slow when you add more than 100 contacts or if your calendar gets too full. Lots of waiting around! On the other hand, the activ-sync software from Microsoft works very well. However, it would be very nice if the phone offered Bluetooth. I work in sales and need a very reliable phone / pda to house all of my important business data. This phone is a good first attempt, but doesn't quite cut it. Today, I'm returning the phone for something else.I would highly recommend that you hold of buying until the next version of the MPx comes out.
