P800 good phone but

make sure you steer clear of cleaning the screen too much. the screen is too sensitive to cleaning. i had 2 yes 2 screens stop working because of light cleaning. they should have made it more apt to cleaning because the screen gets smudge etc. the treo 600 gets smudge but cleaning it is much easier and i havent had it die on me...anyway its a cool phone but becareful when cleaning only use a slightly and i mean very slightly wet cloth

flip part's hinge keeps breaking

I am on my third phone in one year due to the hinge breaking! I am now switching services because I have had to fight with T mobile that I did nothing to cause the problem, such as dropping it! After ALOT of fighting they have replaced the phone twice and tell me they refuse to replace it again! goodbye T-Mobile! Another company is getting my business and I will be buying a new phone from them!

SIMPLE PROBLEMS

I got this phone because of the look, the camera and the flip. I really like the look and the camera is great, but here are the things I don't like: 1)ear piece is not loud enough, my husband has to practically yell into the phone when I'm talking to him in my car, 2)the flip is annoying because when the phone rings you still have to push a button to answer after opening it, 3)very poor battery life (charged it on a Monday night and it was dead by Wednesday morning without barely using it) and 4) I hate the ring tones (they're all techno) and I've had difficulty ordering new ones over mMode (mMode kicked me off both times I ordered a ring tone, which you pay before you download, so I'm out 2 bucks a pop for ring tones I couldn't download). The other thing is when you turn on the phone you get a start up tone. While you can change the tone, so that it's different from your ring tone, you cannot change the volume. I have my ringer turned up all the way, so I'll hear it in my purse, but if I want to turn my phone on in the office everyone hears this incredibly loud start up tone. The only thing that I've found to help with this issue is that you can hit any button to get the tone to shut off. Most importantly, this phone is just not user-friendly. If you're into gadgets and computers and really want to take the time to figure out this phone, then you'll probably enjoy the NEC 525. I think there are a lot of very cool features to this phone, however there are some very basic features missing. My husband got a Sony 616 @ the same time as I got this one and he paid $100 less than me and I like his phone better (I was already an AT&T customer, so I didn't pay the low price you would when switching from another carrier). I'm switching to that phone this weekend.

Freezing T610? Get the firmware updated!

Hi, I've owned my SE T610 for 8 months now and it has NEVER frozen! Originally bought in Norway, but using it in Australia now with different Networks down here I've only good things to say about this phone! The interface is different and slightly more advanced than the Nokia's. But at the same time, the T610 is way more compatible with PCs and other phones than the Nokias. I.E: Nokia put a block on sharing pictures through bluetouth and infrared. They have a deal with the Network providers so that they can charge you by using the picture messenging service. T610 can send and receive any media from other infrared and bluetouth sources. I even managed to print my pictures from the phone through a cheap HP printer with infrared. Just sent the picture, any it came out on paper! That's cool! If you have problems with a freezing phone then just go to a Sony Ericsson retailer and have the Firmware (phone software) updated for free (if still under warrenty). It will never freeze again, promise!Sony Ericsson T610, worth the money and excellent satisfaction!
Just get it!

It would be nice if I could hear

After massive amounts of researching I decided on this phone. ATT's gsm coverage is horrid in central Phoenix so I took back the tiny T616. I have always heard that the Sprint coverage in Phoenix was very good with excellent call quality. Well...not for me. I live near downtown and barely get a signal inside my house. At 7ave & McDowell I rec'd "no svc available, try analog". This is not acceptable. Everybody I talk with say that they hear me very clearly, but it's not the same on my end. I thought it might be the speaker on the phone, but I returned it and tried another. The calls are consistently fair to poor. It sounds like the other person is on a cell phone being held by their head. They aren't. I'm still within my 2 week trial on this one, so I'll probably return it. I'm at a loss as to what to try next. The next choice is Verizon with the LG VX6000, but I don't like their calling plans. I'm afraid that T-Mobile's gsm service will be as crappy as ATT's. Why can't one of these companies make a camera phone with speakerphone and/or bluetooth that actually provides good reception. I don't know anyone that needs a 1000 number of phonebook entries, but I guess that's easier.

This tri-mode CDMA phone comes with a large color display that supports 65,000 colors
Comes with integrated camera with flash
Equipped with voice activated dailing

Good solid phone, could use some user interface improvements

A nice basic phone, color with ringtones, and games, and everything else one could want in a phone bar a camera or bluetooth. The phone's contact manager isn't great though, and it is too new enough for there to be much online support, but almost every ringtone or java game comaptible with the S105 will work fine with this phone. Oh and for the love of your ears turn down the ringer, it could wake the dead, even if they were wearing earplugs on its defualt level. As for the default ringers they are very, umm distinctive, not certain I like them, but you'll never need worry about whther or not the ringing phone is yours. If you don't like them you can always download more I suppose
Product features:
Large color display supports 65,000 colors
Supports downloading personalization features Megatones and Wallpapers
Comes equipped with a powerful mobile version of AOL Instant Messenger
Equipped with embedded picture messaging, which allows you to receive picture messages from other T-Mobile camera phones
Dual Band GSM 900 / GSM 1900

It was great when I first got it but soon you WILL get bored

I got this phone and I really thought I would stick with it but after I ran out of mintues it sits in my moms car and I'm going to give it to my sister if you want prepaid then get VM but if you don't then please MOVE ON b/c VM aint the best it gets boring after a while and you can get better features from other wireless companies without having prepaid like will AT&T and Cingular and ALLTEL dec. 6 I'm getting my new phone and it's going to be WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than this phone! Plus this phone I'm getting now it suited better for me, a VM phone is for first timers who are deperate to get one b/c they see everyone else including their friends. So my advice would be to get this phone if you want to just have it for something around but get a phone from someone else if you at LEAST want some FUN in your phone. even the MTV and VH1 stuff got boring! and the games are jus terrible. Sorry VM but you are a thing of the past! Prepaid is not for me! I regret spending $60 for that now I wished I would've waited where I could've been more mature about my choice but now I am and I'm never switching back! GOODBYE VM FOREVER!!!! Hello AT&T SOny Ericsson T68i!!!!
