Motorola V180 Phone (T-Mobile)
An inexpensive phone great for making and receiving calls!

If all you're looking for is a phone, no bells and whistles, then look no further. I have this phone in the Chicago area and it gets much better reception then the T610 which it replaced. I don't miss having a camera (which was worthless on the T610) and this phone has great battery life.
Product features:
The sleek feature-forward model V180 offers mobile movers and shakers hip style without the hot price tag.
Polyphonic speaker for MP3 ring tunes and MPEG4 video playback
Large, vibrant color display with picture caller ID
Stylish clamshell design with integrated speakerphone
Includes phone, charger and user documentation.

Don't waste your money!

I've had this phone for nearly a year now, and really have no clue why I still have the thing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Today I've decided to let the Nokia people (and T-mobile) see the way I feel...since they basically told my Wife to "just deal with it" and "this is what happens after nearly a year". I'm on my way to the pay-phone now, so let's see if I get a new phone for free... In summary, this phone is a POS!
Product features:
Large color screen supports 4096 colors (96x65 pixels)
Send and receive messages with image, sound and text
Synchronize your phone book, calendar and to-do list with your PC using SyncML over WAP

Beware of this phone ...bad antenna on most

Keys not designed for adult human use... volume buttons on side where a person usually holds the phone will set off rings/noises usually at an awkward time.

LG also knows there is a problem with the antenna on most of these phones. They started replacing the stock antenna with a better("red") antenna, but they didn't get to a lot of them, especially the "free" ones they give you at Cingular.

You have to call "Warranty Service" to get the new "red" antenna to get service without mega cutoffs. --If you live in an apartment; DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THIS PHONE! -- And good luck on a speedy finding of where the earphone/mike handless plug is..
Product features:
65k color display, a 40-tone polyphonic speaker and sophisticated styling in a small clamshell form-factor.
Mobile Instant Messaging using AOL® Instant Messenger

solid phone, great OS, though a little slow to react

I've had this phone for almost a year now and it has been nothing but great to use. I can connect to my computer via bluetooth to transfer images, calender events, contacts and anything else. Another great feature for me anyway is the ability to load .wav sounds as ringers. This way I never have to be ripped off by the carrier for stupid ringtones, I can get whatever I want. The only downside I have found with this phone is that it is a bit slow to react, meaning when I push the contacts button, it takes a while to load, this is true for almost all the menus and programs on the phone. Other than that, the simbian series 60 OS is great and offers lots of proprietary software that will work on your phone if you're willing to hunt for it.

Video recorder and RealOne Player
Supports POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP-based email clients
640 x 480 VGA camera with 2x digital zoom

Great phone for free, why doesn't T-Mobile this deal direct?

The camera is an order of magnitude better than the crapcam on my Sony Ericson T300. Reception is better also. Battery life is decent, the screen is nice. The outside of the phone has a nice "rubber texture" feel to it. Speaker phone works ok, and it has voice dial. I think the menu's could stand to be improved, took me forever to figure out how to set the time since it removes that option if you set it to "auto update" the time, which didn't catch daylight savings for me!
Product features:
Tri-band GSM capability
Large color display features 65,000 colors
Built-in VGA camera with zoom
Supports text messaging and wireless Internet (WAP 2.0)
Comes with 35 ringtones and supports MIDI and MP3 formats

Motorola V710 Phone (Verizon Wireless)
Not a bad phone though a bit too $$ for the features.

I've had the phone for about a month now. I switched from Tmobile (with a Sony Ericsson phone) to Verizon because of coverage issues.

The V710 isn't a bad phone but nothing mind blowing either.

+the signal is pretty much always strong even compared to other Verizon users.
+the screen is bright and nice looking.
+accessories are available and aren't too expensive either.
+expansion card are cheap... picked a 256MB for $30. It allows me to transfer ringtones and store MP3s and pictures.
-/+bluetooth is indeed somewhat crippled but there are some bypass to bring them to the phone for free. Works pretty well with Motorola BT headset (clear signal) and hopefully I'll get it to work with my PC BT adapter soon.
-battery life with the factory battery blows! You'll get a day or two at most on a stock battery (my T68 would last almost a freaking week). The 1500mA extended battery will last 3-4 days which is a bit more acceptable but is bulkier than the factory unit (still fit in the holster though which is nice). I guess this is a trade-off for a nice and brighter screen.
-phone size. not the smallest form factor out there. advantage is that the keys are easily accessible and you won't screw up dialing the number even while doing other stuff...
+Voice dialing... one of the coolest feature. no need to train your phone for every name in your contact list, just speak it up and it will recognize and dial the name... I love this feature more than anything (even the Razor doesn't have that).

Bottom line the phone isn't bad. Not sure it's worth $200+ but around $150 after rebate isn't a bad deal. Just make sure you pick a travel charger or car adapter.
Product features:
Integrated 1.2 megapixel camera, video capture and playback
Integrated MP3 player
Integrated Bluetooth for hands-free, eyes-free talking
Integrated speakerphone
Buit-in 10 MB memory and SD-compatible removable memory slot

Great look: Battery power HORRIBLE

yes I agree with most of you: the RAZR is definitely sleek looking and such. I've barely had it for a month and already I'm disappointed. Seems I am always charging this phone even though I do not 'clock in the time'. The large screen is great; the fact you can put it in your backpocket and almost forget it's there is nice, too. But so far I am not impressed.. yes Nokia does make better phones....
