Sony Ericsson T610 Phone (T-Mobile)
An Awesome phone with awesome service and an awesome plan

This is the sixth phone i have used in the past two years and the only phone that I deemed fit to hold on to for an year now. Come this christmas, this phone would celebrate its first and sadly last anniversary with me.

In the past i have used Siemens A56, Nokia 3595, nokia 6340i, a sony ericsson t326 and a motorola v66. This is by far the best phone I have had.

Reception: The reception somewhat lacks as compared to my roommate's Nokia 3650 with T-mobile too. But I have no problem with that. In the garage or in my room I dont have to hold a brick in my hand and talk into it.

Bluetooth: bluetooth is amazing. but the bluetooth headsets are still comparatively huge and doesnt hold charge for long. I guess theres still more to develop in that area.

Camera: The camera is crappy but hey, it can "take" pictures which i used to post in moblog (http://exclamates.textamerica.com ). This was as long as t-zones was free. now it costs me 4.99 a month - way cheaper than any other provider but am not gonna pay for that with this phone.

Coolness factor: This was the coolest phone in its time (an year ago). I still love this phone for what it is and for what it can do. T-Mobile is giving away cash like crazy for all their age-ol phones like v66. I guess this was their last "cool" phone.

After using 2 nokias, I HATE them. I guess moto v300 and v600 kinda made its mark but theres nothing in them which wud make me dump my t610 for that.

Customer Care: As for customer service - tmo is the best. granted- the only other cust service i have had experience with is cingular. Either they sucked or TMO rocks.

I cant believe .... after all this I am goin back to Cingular which has poor service in cincinnati, bad cust service ... but am jus in love with Moto mpx220. Am gonna dump my 1K anytime with unlimited 39.99 to move back to cingular coz they have better collection of phones.

But hey, T610 is my first love.... & as u all know - first cut is the deepest.....

Sony DRJ120 Hands Free Cell Phone Headset
Poor Product from Sony

This headset is comfortable and has good sound quality. The only thing I do not like about it is that the mute button has to be held down to work. I prefer one that is more like a switch. That way I can listen to a conference call or do some task with my hands free while on the phone. I have had to use a large paperclip to try and hold the button down and this is quite inconvenient. If you don't need a mute button and you like this style of headset, it is better than the others I have tried.
Product features:
Hands Free Cell Phone Headset
Lightweight Ear Clip Style
Fit Left or Right Ear
Fleible Pipe Microphone
Works with most cell phones with standard 2.5 mm jack

phone book solved

seems everyone is trying to get mutiple phone numbers for single person... all u need to do is trun on the view primary contacts in the phone book menu. store the different numbers in to same name under one person. then mutiple phone numbers for same name will only show up once. if you want another phone number of that person, you can scroll to that name using up and down key then use the left and right key to show different icon for that person/name.

also in the phone book you can click on view then using up and down to view other numbers for that person, in that mode, it will list all the numbers.

about the phone, i think the craftsmanship could be better or more consistent for this price... the phone wouldn't close flush.... and the bettery back wouldn't close flush on one of my phone... the buttons inprint onto the screen... it dont use the normal headphone jack anymore, it's using the mini USB (the only connection port) for both headphones and charge.

also if you want to sync with your outlook, you need to buy the mobile phone tools software and the USB to mini USB cable, both 2.11 and 3.11 versions of MPT will sync outlook addresses but only 3.11 will let you have a v3 look for the program and can add/edit media files to the phone. you can find more info on those on net by searching "mobile phone tools 3.11". I transfered my phone book over from my sony t616 to outlook then to v3 with no problem. if you use my method on the top you will have similar phone book funtions on the v3 as of t616.

dont border put v3 onto bluetooth sync, cause the phone dont have the bluetooth sync profile, so you cant sync with your own bluetooth device, may be only the ones from motorola.

amond all, the voice, the speaker-phone, the receptions, the screen and non-motorola bluetooth headphones works great on this phone.

Works well

Allows me to plug my stereo headphones into my 600 and get stereo sound out via the MP3 software. Only gripe is that this piece is necessary at all. I often forget to bring it since I switch back and forth between using it with the 600 and not using it with my laptop.
Product features:
Perfect for listening to your favorite MP3s.
Compatible with: Treo 600 and 650 only
NOTE: Not compatible with Treo 300, 270, 180 or 90

No worries...fits the 505 perfectly

To address some earlier comments, the holster clicks right into the groove on the top of the V505. If you don't clip it in it will fall out, if you do it won't. That simple.
Product features:
Durable custom-fitted holster made of polycarbonate plastic
Allows for easy and convenient access to cell phone
Slim line belt clip has seven ratcheting positions
Secures cell phone onto belt, purse, handbag, backpack, or jacket.

Finally.

Well I was dying to get a camera phone and I still want the Samsung E105. It costs like $250 after all of the rebates and it seems to be an outstanding phone. It's new from Samsung that just came out about a month ago. You cannot buy it from those crazy mall employees, they don't even know it even exists. The Nokia 3650 however is not a bad phone. The size takes about a week or 2 to get used to. I liked being able to flip my old cell phone. I am afraid of scratching the face of the Nokia 3650, maybe rubbing up against something. I have not dropped my phone yet but I used to drop my Samsung S105 all the time and it just got scratched all over. Poor phone. I would recommend this phone to just about anybody who does not mind the size. Oh by the way the speaker phone is AWESOME!! Let's see if Samsung can come up with a speakerphone. Has features that other phones don't even offer and I will not even mention them so you can be surprised yourselves. Go buy one and give it a try.
Product features:
Wireless phone with integrated video/digital camera
3.4 MB on board storage, MultiMediaCard expansion slot
Oversized display for MP4 video playback
High-speed internet access, supports Java-based downloads
Integrated Bluetooth connectivity for data transmission to other Bluetooth devices

Motorola V710 Phone (Verizon Wireless)
The Phone is Awesome, but Nothing is Ever Perfect

Everything has its pros and cons. The V710 reception far outweighs the crappy camara any day!

Pros
-reception, reception, reception
-many little features that make it tick
-cool style
-it's a camara phone

Cons
-it requires a cell phone carrier to work
-the camara takes terrible pictures
-hard to find a case that doesn't interfer with opening and closing the phone (as with all flip phones)

I really like the Motorola V710 phone. I have had Verizon Wireless service for a few years now (word of advice, run if you haven't gotten stuck in with a contract) and this phone works the best on their network. I have a cronic problem of dropping calls around my house and this is the only phone that can hang on to the calls. In the past few weeks I have tried the LG VX7000, which dropped calls faster than a brick, and the Kyrocera (or however you spell it) which also drops way to many calls. I have been very happy with the V710, the camara sucks, as I am sure you have heard, but if you want a great camara, get a camara. The phone has some really niffty features on it and I am really starting to warm up to the menu, which can be just plain wierd if you are not use to it. Another thing that gives the Motorola a learning curve is the layout of the keys, but it can be a "what the heck is that" phone. All in all, I choose the Motorola because of the reception but I am finding all kinds of other features I didn't know I couldn't live without. The Motorola is an increadibly clear phone with great reception, but won't bring you the kitchen sink. The LG VX7000 is a phone that has increadibly crappy reception but does everything else with flying colors. But hey, the thing is a phone, not a butler.
Product features:
Integrated 1.2 megapixel camera, video capture and playback
Integrated MP3 player
Integrated Bluetooth for hands-free, eyes-free talking
Integrated speakerphone
Buit-in 10 MB memory and SD-compatible removable memory slot

tacky and nonprofessional

besides everything written before me, the biggest negative for this phone is that the rings are horrible. If you want a song, then great, if you want a ring, you're out of luck. The only option is the t-mobile melody, outside of that not a single simple ring. The makers seem to forget all about people who want a simple phone that rings and makes phones calls. All the other options are fun and games, but completely worthless in a phone.
Product features:
This sporty little model is as fun as it is stylish

WorldClass international phone (dual band: 900 & 1900 MHz) for travel in over 100 countries
