Motorola V300 Phone (T-Mobile)
Amazing!

I bought one a month ago, attracted by its style. Now I got a second one for my wife! Well, had I ordered earlier, I could get $50 more discount from T-mobil :) Phone is excellent, just wonder why it took so long for motorola to deliver this product! One tip I found: better fully use up the battery then recharge it the first few times, then you get a longer standby time :)

Tri-band GSM capability
Large color display features 65,000 colors
Built-in VGA camera with zoom
Supports text messaging and wireless Internet (WAP 2.0)

Pocket PC Phone (T-Mobile)
Customer Support Totally Absent

I own this phone/pocket PC for almost a year now. I didnt have any problems with it. It served me great with all its features. I used it overseas multiple times too.
Bad thing about this is Tmobile customer service. They are very nice to you, appologizing all the time for nothing, but they do not know anything. You ask them simple questions and they usually do not know the answer and will try to get rid of you. You wont get any answers unless you are really pushy and ask representative to go and find the answers for you. But sometimes you get a stubborn representative and then you have to call back to get a new one. Sometimes you get so tired of calling and fighting with these guys that you think about the end of your contract and switching the carrier. But the handset is great.

Sony Ericsson T610 Phone (T-Mobile)
Best Phone Yet

I bought the Sony Ericsson T610 in December 2003 because I was disatisfied with the customer service of my current carrier and wanted a bluetooth capable phone. The results have been mixed. On the plus side, T-Mobile did an excellent job transferring my existing cell number and their customer service has so far been good. The T610's bluetooth capability also works as promised, as does the very cool Jabra wireless headset that Amazon packaged with the phone. Unfortunately, the phone has a very poorly designed interface that is difficult to use and often requires multiple steps to perform simple functions that my Sprint-Samsung A500 did easily. The T610's voice recognition and voice dialing functions are almost completely unusable (a feature I truly miss from Sprint), and there is also no plain vanilla ring tone appropriate for business use. From a service standpoint, T-Mobile's coverage in the South Florida area seems to have just as many holes as Sprint's -- they're just in different locations -- and dropped calls are still a problem. In short, while number portability is a great convenience, all cellular providers have shortcomings, so don't expect a change in phones or carriers to be a quick fix for the problems you may be experiencing with your current service.

The king of dropped calls!

I had this phone about 3 frustrating weeks then I exchanged it for a Sanyo, it dropped nearly EVERY call. I have had sprint since they were introduced, I had more dropped calls in the three weeks of using this phone then I have the entire time I have had the sprint service. The signal strength was very good nearly every time, still dropped the calls. Also the phone would make beeping sounds in the ear peice the entire time you were talking on it... and one more thing, after a short while the of use the phones battery would get very hot. Samsung needs to go back to school on this one! What I did like... The color screen was incredible and the ease of use was great, if it wasn't for the problems I would have gave a very high rating of this phone. It has some nice features. One final thought... Its too bad Motorola doesn't have any sprint phones anymore nothing compares to the quality and durability of a Motorola.

Samsung R225 Phone (T-Mobile)
It does the job

I've had my phone for over a year and haven't had any mechanical issues to date. My only complaint would be poor reception in certain areas, but I'm not sure if that can be attributed to the phone or the network.
I've been very satisfied with T-Mobile (especially the service!) and I'm very hesitant to try another carrier. If not for the reception, I'd give it a ten. It does all you'd want a basic phone to do!

Easy to use phone with high contrast blue display
Two-way text messaging
Compose your own ring tone melodies

Nokia N-Gage QD Gaming Phone (Cingular)
excellent system

Having purchased a new N-Gage QD about a month ago, I have to say that so far I am very impressed and pleased. The phone contains most of the features available on other high-end mobile phones, plus special features that are pretty astonishing. The most obvious advantage of the system is its gaming capabilities. The screen, though smaller than that of a Gameboy Advance, is still large enough to allow a window into the gaming world; you don't feel as if you have to hold it right up to your eyes to see what's going on. The graphic clarity is awesome, and the game sound is excellent and adjustable. You can easily change games on the fly (my phone case even includes a special pocket in which to store games). Outside the gaming environment, the phone is a fully functioning PDA with Internet access, built-in wireless Bluetooth communications and more. With minor adjustments, it can display full-length movies and play MP3s. The device supports music tones as well as polyphonic tones, and the Internet interface is made better by the size of the screen. It's more intuitive than on phones with smaller screens. Unlike its predecessor, the QD's phone is also intuitive; you hold the flat end up against your ear. (On the previous version, the phone had to be held sideways.) If there is a problem with the phone, though, it is the phone itself. It's difficult to hear what people on the other end of the ether are saying. Actually, the phone works best as a speaker phone. In short, I recommend this phone to pretty much everyone. My wife bought a Motorola V400 the same day I got my QD; she already regrets it.

Bluetooth wireless technology

Nokia 6820 Phone - Next Generation (AT&T)
Not AT&T

I just felt the need to back a few people on AT&T Wireless. They are the worst! I have had soooooo many unwanted charges on my bill. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Also, I am in college and go to see my parents only 1 1/2 hours away and I have never been able to use my phone while seeing them. Never! This is after AT&T promised it would work in that area. After the contract is up I will never return to such crappy service.

good phone but sprint has major overbilling problems

I should have paid better attention to the negative reviews for this phone. This phone has two major flaws. (1) Unless you place the phone over your ear in the exact spot, you can't hear the other person speaking..(2) Voices come over garbled and smashed. I am 'constantly' saying, "what? pardon me? I can't make out what you're saying!" What a waste of [money] (...) Don't waste another moment of your life looking at this phone. It will be discontinued like all the rest very soon! GUARANTEED!

Motorola i836 Phone (Nextel)
For Nextel Users, A Dream Come True!

Ok, let's face it...you are a Nextel user, love the DC/GC, and use the phone for business or pleasure, but your phone is

1) Humongous Brick (I355, i315, i530, i325), but durable

2) Small (i830), but susceptible to scratches and tinny sound, and either not resistant to heavy use or just too dang odd looking to be a Nextel phone....

This is the answer! I have been using my i836 for a week-it is great! As a previous user of all the above phones, this is the best....feels lighter than the i830, sounds better, and the casing holds up better.

Comes with all the features...not only DC/GC, but web and message capable, bright color display, and a NICE case from Motorola for your belt, leather case, nice and easy access.

All the usuals....datebook, GPS, call listing, java apps, etc.

Hey, I can never go back to the bricks......this is a great phone! Five stars !

Product features:
Stylish, lightweight design – lightest walkie-talkie phone on the market
Vibrant color display with (65K)
Java and GPS-enabled for location-based services including turn-by-turn driving directions with Telenav
Group Connect walkie-talkie – connect with 20 people nationwide, instantly
Multimedia Messaging – send/receive messages with audio and image attachments

Love it!

Blackberry needs to get their act together. 3rd party apps range from horrible to non-existent. Usability is atrocious. So I can get my corporate e-mail via a wireless device...so what when everything about the so called "crackberry" sucks! But I'm sure all of the "pointy-haired" bosses out there love this piece of crap.
Product features:
Full-color screen with easy-to-use icons
International GSM service compatibility (tri-band: 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
Organizer with PC synchronization
Attachment viewing for Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, and Adobe PDF
Supports Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino
