Motorola V400 Phone (Cingular)
ALWAYS RELIABLE

I have owned this phone for about a year now and have never had any trouble with it as described by some of the other owners. I might add that I take very good care of everything I own. I have never dropped it or otherwise mistreated it. I recently purchased a V3 simply because I like the larger width, but the problem with the V3 is that there is no "Fast Forward" device that is designed to use with it. The V400 uses the "Fast Forward" which saves me a ton of cell minutes by forwarding my cell to my home phone number. I would really love to have this feature for the V3, but so far, I have been unable to do so. I still think in the long run, the V400 will outlast and outperform the V3, so I'm keeping it as a backup. It has never let me down and is sturdy to boot!

PCS Phone Nokia 3588 (Sprint)
Handy but poor voice quality

Got this at the (non-Amazon) Sprint store to replace my pre-historic Sony-Qualcomm CM-600 "dogbone" which was falling apart. The Nokia has a bright screen and easy-to-read large fonts -- unlike almost every other phone available from Sprint -- that make it usable for the older/visually impaired user. The phone is small and light, and while features require a number of different button and nav selections, it's no worse than most. However, the voice quality, per the Consumer Reports eval, is below par. I frequently have to use it with a earpiece/headset combo to be understood.
Product features:
Color LCD 96 x 65 display with changeable fonts so you can change your preferred view
Customizable profiles let you set ringing options, tones, volume, vibrating alert, message alert tone, keypad tones, and warning tones for all calls or caller groups based on your preference
Assign up to 500 entries with multiple contact numbers
Receive numeric and text messages in areas that offer messaging services
Includes Alarm clock, Calendar, Voice recorder (1 minute), Calculator, and Stopwatch

Outstanding phone

For those of you who had to return the Blackberry with T-Mobile because it was incompatible with Hotmail, MSN and AOL email, you've found a replacement that is, quite frankly, a lot more fun! There's a full color version of the retro fave video game asteroids plus all the things you're looking for: address book, to do list, notepad, and so much more. Plus wireless syncing with your PC. This phone has a better keyboard, too, than the Blackberry. The phone has different rings for different callers--and the phone lights up in different colors, too. Plus, you can store pictures of callers. Bye, bye blackberry. I'm very happy with my new Sidekick! ... Can't beat that, can you?
Product features:
Important note: It's required that you add the Sidekick Unlimited Data option to your service plan before you check out.
To add the required option, you must add the Sidekick and a service plan, and then on the Accessories page, you need to select the Sidekick Unlimited Data option located under Service Options (this option is located on Step 3 in the checkout process)
The T-Mobile Sidekick is the ultimate communication device
A large color screen that flips open to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard makes for quick and easy communication
Stay connected with all your friends with unlimited e-mail, AOL Instant Messenger, Internet browsing, text messaging and mobile snapshots

THE BEST PHONE EVER

This phones is perfect for any kids who want to look cool with a phone but not really flashy. One that won't say, look i want to be the coolest kid here because that just causes more of being un cool. There is only a couple down sides. It scratches kind of easily and the games are not the best unless you want to pay more money to download them. Another thing is that you have to pay more money a month to text message!!! I would say now that i have a sprint you have easier text messaging and better games. Overall, in my top five for best phone (it is the third best on the list, I LOVE PICTURE PHONES MORE.
Product features:
The i730 comes with a new 65k color display with enhanced clarity that allows you to customize your screen with downloadable wallpapers, adjustable color palettes, and choice of three font sizes

Nokia 6610 Phone (T-Mobile)
PERFECT!!

This phone is small and light weighted. The phone book is easy access. I've been getting some good and bad reviews with regard to the sound quality and the reception. Well, the most I can do to help is, so far, I've been getting pretty good reptions in San Mateo, So SF, Paolo Alto area, etc... The alarm clock is a nice feature to have. I expected more for the picture quality. In my opinion, sony erricson T610 has better quality. Most of the wallpapers are not that pretty. Like many other viewers, the volume control is Hard to press. The Power button is too, but if I dont always turn it on and off, so that is ok with me. Overall, I am happy with this new phone even tho the picture quality wasnt as good as I expected.
Product features:
New color screen with the "classic" Nokia 6000 series style
Mobile Internet capability

Good phone with some issues

Easy to use phone with good sound and ok picture quality (better than Nokia), and the phone looks great! Issues: Battery life is weak. In contrast to the E105 you cannot adjust the brightness of the display which would help you save some power; Internatioal use: I travelled to Thailand and could not use my phone in 90% of the time while all the tri-bands around me were working. With the 900/1900 MHZ dual band solution you have no guarantee that the phone will work seamlessly in all international networks. If this is a must take a triband. Also: Screen is hard to read in the sunlight.
Product features:
Large LCD color screen feature 65,000 colors (128x160 pixels)
Built-In VGA camera with 640x480 resolution, flash, and self-timer
Equipped with mobile Internet and text messaging
Supports 40-chord polyphonic ringtones
Download ringtones, wallpaper, and games

such a great phone

i absolutely love this phone! just swithced from verizon to sprint and its way better! color on the phone is exceptional. one reveiwer stated that you cant see the time on the outside LCD w/o opening the flip, this is not the case, simply hold the volume key down for a few seconds and the outside LCD will ight up. the sound and clarity of this phone is awesome.i do agree that the manual is very basic, but the more that i play with the phone the more i am discovering exactly what it can do and it can do alot!! i recomend this phone to anyone. so far so good w/ the battery life. the only thing that i dont care for is when you download ringers, you cant preview them first w/o buying. other than that ...i love my phone!!!!

This tri-mode CDMA phone comes with a large color display that supports 65,000 colors
Comes with integrated camera with flash

Motorola MPx200 Smartphone - Next Generation (AT&T)
OK phone, horrible ATT service

Reasons why this is a great phone:
1. Use outlook to populate the phone with phone numbers
2. Huge bright screen
3. Small easy to carry package
4. Speaker phone and .WAV formatted ring tones (free download or make your own)
5. Sync with outlook and it knows when I am in a meeting and will set ringing to vibrate
6. Free software and games
7. Accepts SD cards for all that downloading
8. Functions as MP3 player
Only 2 issues; short battery life so don't be far from a charger and typing on the phone is slow so I avoid it...
Product features:
The Motorola MPx200 Smartphone does it all by combining all the functionality you need into a single, pocket-size package
Windows Mobile software brings the familiar Windows experience to the palm of your hand
You can synchronize everything with your desktop PC -- automatically -- with a USB connection, or over the air
Functionality allows you to download music, games, video clips, and ring tones
Watch videos, news clips, and film trailers anywhere you go

Love it!!!

OK- unlike most reviewers I will review the PHONE rather than spend the whole review complaining about AT&T (which *does* stink for GSM service).I've been a PocketPC user for over a year, and this OS is almost identical. Very intuitive and easy to use. I previously only owned Nokia phones and though I'd need time to get adjusted- not so! Very easy to use an loaded with cool features. The unit comes with two headsets (stereo and mono) for listening to MP3's, which are played via Windows Media Player on the phone. Sound quality is great. The PDA functions are great for viewing, but combersome for editing... but chances are you use your PC/Outlook for all the editing and creating of email/tasks/etc... and the phone is there for a reminder. One VERY cool feature is the phone can be set to automatically switch profiles during appointments (ie meetings created in outlook). So you can set your ringtone, and then have it switch to vibrate only during meetings. Very useful to me. Also a neat feature is the ability to use ANY .wav or MIDI file for a ringtone. I recorded a 5 second WAV of my favorite guitar riff, copied it to the phone via ActiveSync (included and really easy to use), and used it as my ring tone. The speakerphone works great--- callers say I sound clear as a bell. The screen resolution/color are absolutely incredible. The response time is FAST under almost all situations. I briefly used a Sony/Ericsson T68i and it was so painfully slow that I got rid of it almost immediately. This phone has none of the same. All in all-- a fantastic phone.
